I've got the box built, and am ready to mount the sub into the box. I need to know what size screws to use and Do the screws go through the top of the gasket, through the frame and through the bottom side of the gasket into the box, or do I lift up the gasket on top and just put the screw through the frame and through the bottom side of the gasket into the box? And Do i need any caulk or gasket material between the box and the sub for sealing?

I've heard a few subs make a funky sound when more power is applied to them that just doesn't sound like the bass the artist put in the song. On low volumes its fine. On higher volumes It sounds like the sub is puking. I hate that sound and i turn the bass down to when its gone. I've heard it mostly on punchy bass, long drawn out bass is usually fine. What causes this, is it when a sub exceeds its xmax or is that overrated in knowing what the sub sounds like as well? That's my only guess. I haven't heard lots of different subs but all the ones i heard did it.

I want to know how much a Fi bl 18 is worth used.I dont know what options it has because the person I got the sub from told me it was a BTL and I got a BL. Taylor if you are really serious and just waiting for pics, I'd feel pretty darn good about buying anything from Jacob. If there were truly issues he wouldn't sell it to you period. I bet if it was way worse than you thought he would let you cancel as well. The Sundown will power the CA's and any tweet you pair them with really well, you also won't even need the cap I recommended on the tweet before since it would be built in. Considering there are crossovers it could open up your driver selection a bit as well. Great amp, great deal, great guy to do business with.

I have the Optimas and they are nice, but they do not have big AH numbers so you would need a bunch of them. Look at Deka or XS Power and get one big one. If I had it to do over again that is what I would do.
