Damn I wish I would of checked back earlier I probly would of bought the FC box, but anyways I got a New box coming in tommorow (2.5 cu.ft. after woofer displacement tuned to 31hz). My current box is about 3 ft. after displacment tuned to 39hz.(i know it sucks) The dcons are pretty loud right now but I know i've been missing out on some powerfull low end. What kind of differecnces can I expect from my new box, I know it will hit the lows and sound alot better, but will I lose some volume because it's smaller or will it be even louder?

Taylor if you are really serious and just waiting for pics, I'd feel pretty darn good about buying anything from Jacob. If there were truly issues he wouldn't sell it to you period. I bet if it was way worse than you thought he would let you cancel as well. The Sundown will power the CA's and any tweet you pair them with really well, you also won't even need the cap I recommended on the tweet before since it would be built in. Considering there are crossovers it could open up your driver selection a bit as well. Great amp, great deal, great guy to do business with.

I've got the box built, and am ready to mount the sub into the box. I need to know what size screws to use and Do the screws go through the top of the gasket, through the frame and through the bottom side of the gasket into the box, or do I lift up the gasket on top and just put the screw through the frame and through the bottom side of the gasket into the box? And Do i need any caulk or gasket material between the box and the sub for sealing?

Your buddy is pretty dumb, but you don't need a very big alt for what you have. An alt upgrade without a battery upgrade is kinda pointless so I would add the extra battery first. If you're still having problems, then think about an alt, but the battery makes the biggest difference on transient draw (which your audio system is).

Not just hate, but I havent seen one person that can show actual proof by testing one and then showing the results that they suck. I have read twenty threads now saying there garbage but not one person who said it actually owned one or at least proved it. Looking at the guts from the SAZ amps and the 2608d looks the same to me! grant it I dont have a SAZ amp in my hands to check the actual components to see if there high quality or the same. I've heard a few subs make a funky sound when more power is applied to them that just doesn't sound like the bass the artist put in the song. On low volumes its fine. On higher volumes It sounds like the sub is puking. I hate that sound and i turn the bass down to when its gone. I've heard it mostly on punchy bass, long drawn out bass is usually fine. What causes this, is it when a sub exceeds its xmax or is that overrated in knowing what the sub sounds like as well? That's my only guess. I haven't heard lots of different subs but all the ones i heard did it.
