Call me a pessimist, but that's way too much reading for some of these people that can barely read/string sentences together. I mean hell, make a post that's longer than three sentences and you're liable to get a "Cliff's Notes?" response from some of these people But I agree totally with everything in there, and it does need to be posted somewhere. Thanks.

I know I have a car audio addiction when I have a hundred pounds of primo old-school gear coming from opposite ends of the country, and I've already changed my pland and know I probably won't be using any of it in my install. I know I have a car audio addiction when I buy four head units in a week because each one was way cooler than the last and too cheap to pass up, then realize I'll have a hard time outdoing the Addzest DRX9255 I've been hanging on to for the last year. Hey, at least I'll have choices. I know I have a car audio addiction when I finally score an Alpine 7909, then realize I won't be able to sleep at night knowing the poor old Alpine is a prime target for…

Okay I am looking for some help in this forum because I am loosing hair over this. I currently have a system in my ride and it is progress though. Eclipse CD 5030 ARC AUDIO KS 300.2 MOREL DOTECH OVATION 6 ARC AUDIO KS 500.1 MINI DIAMOND AUDIO D3 15 Now first things first the KS 300.2 is powering the components at 180 x 2 @ 4 ohms The KS 500.1 Mini [500 x 1 @ 2 ohm] is powering the Diamond Audio D3 15 [1.75 sealed enclosure]. Anyways looking to swap out the Diamond Audio D3 for a Fi Audio sub most likely the SSD 15. I was told to get a single dual 1 ohm sub and wire it in series to make it a 2 ohm sub. Anyways I have a pair of Selenium 6 Midwoofers that are 8 ohm and mo…

I like the list, but agree with Jim. Perhaps we can summarize in post 1 and then add a detailed "how to get an even better response" in a second post right underneath it.

I was thinking the same thing..... If anything, sand down the panels before assembling them, would cut down on the time sanding after it's put together?

so what do u think is better the 15 inch or 2 12 " subs? Go with the two 12s. They have the cone area advantage so, in theory, they should have more output. how much power should i feed the 2 12" However much makes you happy. If you are running with stock electrical, dont expect to safely run enough to power two high output drivers. Im running a single 1600w at 1 ohm amp and my lights were dimming severely before I installed a new battery. how does 2600 watt rms sound for both subs, is this safe?
