I think a 15" version of a SD-1 that could handle a 1000D would do exceptionally well. The 1000D is one of my overall favorites of the sundown amps for daily setups due to the size and power that it puts out. Have you thought about a 15" version?

Danrnit I paid 150 for it a few weeks ago At $150 they did include a warranty. They now only have a non-DOA guarantee at the lower rate.

I've got the box built, and am ready to mount the sub into the box. I need to know what size screws to use and Do the screws go through the top of the gasket, through the frame and through the bottom side of the gasket into the box, or do I lift up the gasket on top and just put the screw through the frame and through the bottom side of the gasket into the box? And Do i need any caulk or gasket material between the box and the sub for sealing?

  12. I think that's fairly fitting and indicative of the attitude you've taken during your tenure as owner of Second Skin. I'm glad to see you'll no longer be formally associated with the company. I'm going to guess the various car audio forums you own were the beginnings of your "media empire", it's unfortunate that you won't be exiting those as well. By the way, I seem to recall you stated in a (now deleted) thread on CA.com that the company wasn't for sale, until someone posted a link, then you vanished from that conversation. Interesting. Good riddance. Hey, maybe we could even look into adding a subforum for another deadening company on SSA now as well!

I too see your point... But from a marketing standpoint...a better choice of words would probably bethe better way to go...you know the whole "politically correct" thing.. The company is going in the direction of an infinitely customizible sub by the end consumer...so i think the catch phrase of "infinite possbilities" would be better suited...it idolizes the direction of the company a little better than "effing insane"...and it is "politically correct" -Nick
