Do you guys offer a custom finish that won't sacrifice thermal dissipation capabilities? In particular, I'm looking for blue.

i currently have 2 12" Fi Q's in a monochambered enclosure tuned to 32hz for maximum LSQ but no amps from what people have told me (2x) sundown sae-1000d should be perfect but my question is... if both subs run 1000 rms each, would it be better running (2x) 1000 watt amps or (2x) 1500 watt amps??????????? also, which amps would be ideal if money wasnt an issue? preferably brand name and specific model. thanks a MILLION!!! NOW HELP ME BUILD MY DREAM SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For a box that will yield a .47 cu ft overall I got these dimensions: 12.5" W x 11.5" H x 9" D (outside measurements with 3/4 thick MDF). Anyone care to double check my #'s to make sure its good before I have my box built? edit: 12" x 13.5" x 8" looks good. Looks like I've got 2 possible boxes to work with.

I swapped out JUST the amp today, couldn't resist the temptation of trying it out. All I can say is why have I not made this purchase earlier. Sundown Kicks ass. And of all things its made about an hour away from my house. I might have to make a trip to see them in person and shake their hand. If anyone has any thoughts of getting one all I can say is DO IT. The Hifonics I had in here before just does NOT compare. Im running a T20001bd to each fully loaded BTL.. how much output would I lose if i ran each sub in 3.5 NET compared to 5 net.? Tuned to about 32hz..

FIRST of all the amp itself has NOTHING directly to do with the number of DB's you can get. The amount of SPL you achieve has more to do with the driver, enclosure and their installation in relationship to the acoustics of the vehicle than the power you run. To say you saw in this forum that AMP CAN HIT XXX.X DB's is worthless to say. Now, if you're looking to get louder it's possible a re-tune of the port may help, moving the enclosure (not always possible) is another way to increase spl.
