950 cd's, no cases or anything, just blank discs. 150 cd's = 5lbs. assuming the Fi Q weighs around 26-28lbs.

I liked how the other was more stealth...but as far as being able to work on the system if anything was to go wrong this one owns the old install.....after all it is kinda hard to hide a 36 inch long amp....that MS1000 is a bitch to intergrate into the trunk. I can still get to my spare tire and the jack location.

I've reread this thread...I can't find a damn thing you're helping here. Have you ever changed a cd player in a car? Have you ever replaced the stereo? Have you ever altered the engine or intake/exhaust? Then YOU TOO have broken the rule of "let the engineers stick to designing...". Let the corporation tell me what's best for me? No thanks. dick. You obviously have absolutely NO grasp on actual subwoofer design. That's all there is to it. A BL and a BTL don't use the same soft parts. Therefore it would NOT be the same woofer. I just want to know how much... Yet again. You apparently don't get it. . Yeah I don't think theres a need to post if you…

Even in the couple months since I last checked hard drive prices, they've come down a bunch. Now if only the prices of SATA controllers went down as well I'm running out of space on the 250GB WD, want to go with a RAID array but that's still $300 for the controller and a couple hundred for the drives...and there ain't no way I'm having a TB or more of stuff without some kind of redundancy. Is anyone a RAID guru here? What controllers should I be looking at

The X12 or the TC-9 or the Konaki hybrid? The TC-9 hybrid is mostly setup for SPL, it would be difficult to make very musical but won't quite sound like total junk. The X12 proto will sound pretty darn good in a moderate sealed box or large-ish low-tuned ported box. Probably the best sub for sale here for an SQ application. The Konaki hybrids have a great set of parameters to sound good in a smaller sealed or moderate ported box. Yea I was looking at the x-12, let me see how money looks if its still available next month.

dont come to va the tint laws are 50% for fronts and 35% rears which is slowing me down from getting tints 50% is to light not to mention a waste of money i'll most likely go for 35% all the way around and just look out for the cops yea thats exactly why i havnt gotten mine done. but i see people rolling around all the time with super dark tint. so will your car even pass inspection if the tint is darker than legal?
