You know what. I have not seen an answer that is any help at all. Lots of people here wondering if this or if that with only the lamest remarks I have seen in a long time. Even the most simple laws of electronics are not known here. My God, I did not have dead batteries or any other problem. The alt just quit. thought I could find some intelligent advise here instead of these stupid observations I already know. I thank you all for all your help, wish you all a good weekend but I'm going to find a forum with some more educated people...lmao want to mail me directly with some other dumb ass or stupid remarks, please do so at [email protected]

  8. The X12 or the TC-9 or the Konaki hybrid? The TC-9 hybrid is mostly setup for SPL, it would be difficult to make very musical but won't quite sound like total junk. The X12 proto will sound pretty darn good in a moderate sealed box or large-ish low-tuned ported box. Probably the best sub for sale here for an SQ application. The Konaki hybrids have a great set of parameters to sound good in a smaller sealed or moderate ported box. Yea I was looking at the x-12, let me see how money looks if its still available next month.

  13. I am just not a fan of expecting such a small speaker to provide such a dynamic range. I guess it is more a personal preference, but I would never do it. Sure, tuning will be much easier, but the reality of the situation is that a 3 way will work better. As the small driver is pulling such a high workload from the lower register, reaching a fairly high excursion and realizing a rise in Qts where Bl is becoming markedly more parabolic, you are demanding the driver to perform such delicacies as the harmonics or decay from a cymbal crash... it is just not a recipe for good sound quality. I personally feel with all the work J is putting into it, he will be able to get it tune…

loud button=bad idea----------kinda like bass boost to me---yuck!!!! oh yeah----you can kill any speaker w/ distortion-----and you can kill one with too little power(since most people would crank the gains then----AKA---clipping the signal)-----think of this---- ---you are jumping on a bed(you are the speaker cone)-----you crank the gains(jump higher)-----all in all ceilings are a female dog!!!

Got 2 D3100's new they sit at 14.4volts , charged with the Intellicharger on 12volt / AGM Low / 25Amp settings and it charges them at 16volts according to my DMM. After charging for 2hours it went to float and I pulled the charger off them , now they are sitting at 15volts . Gonna check real resting voltage in 8-10hours . Whats the deal with my charger going so high on the 12volt setting ? That normal ?

It would also apply if, within the 6 months limited warranty, you blew your amp up and you were at fault for it.

Sorry, I missed your question. It's not a racecar; it's a street - legal racecar that I drive as much as possible. As you mentioned, in a (pure) racecar an audio system is ridiculous. FWIW, my road course machine is just a shell. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry, folks, but I have to go. Work calls and I've spent way too much time playing around. BJ, I will be in touch. All the best and good luck to all!
