Test 1, 2, 3...

I know this question has been posted before all over, but many of the discussions just turn into b***hfests, and no straight good answer is given. Would stuffing (polyfill etc...), or lining (vibration damper, mlv, etc...) a properly sized and well built box make any difference on the sound quality/characteristics of the subwoofer it contains? I'm looking for one good answer please, not a million random opinions. My head is just in a daze after looking at how many odd forum posts that don't answer the question I'm posing. Thanks to anyone who has good knowledge on this topic!

Sorry, I missed your question. It's not a racecar; it's a street - legal racecar that I drive as much as possible. As you mentioned, in a (pure) racecar an audio system is ridiculous. Indeed... several extremely unique items are for sale here. The SAX-250.2 prototype is the only one that will be made in the "original" SAX casing. Both sub models are totally unique and there aren't any others like them.

Just curious, have you heard the Icon sealed or IB? I have a feeling you'll be really pleased at what it can do then not IB but in a sealed box yes and yes that did sound better. but for a prefab box it wasnt half as bad as we orginally intended thought it sound sloppy.

Hello im wondering the same i found a box for the Re audio Sx 10'' version 2.0cubic ft tuned to 32hz. and the Re site recommends a 1.0 to 1.25 per sub @ 34 - 35Hz. when i look at videos on youtube people seem to be installing there Sx's in larger boxes.

Dammit, CB350K4 needed the tank re-coated on the inside due to rust, and had damage on the pipes from being dropped (and on the crash bars, but I was going to take those off anyway) All I want is something that hasn't been abused Too much to ask for after 30 years, I guess...

What options would you recommend for a daily driver, im thinkin just the Cooling option??? A flatwind coil wouldnt be neeeded for a daily driver am i correct?
