From Shawn: Please dont come to a manufacturers forum and try to sell them on another manufacturers product. Please dont think I am being rude, I am trying to do this in the most respectable fashion. I wouldnt do that to others, and wouldnt like it done here please.

  3. Started by Fi Car Audio,

I had some PHY 21s and piezos for about 3 months (they were on loan). I had them in an open baffle set up and found them to be quite enjoyable. My first experience with them was about 7 years ago from Ocellias Tillia speakers. They were an incredible setup with rather interesting cabinets. The engineer had told me a lengthy story about violin makers and his passion for them and how he took that into his speaker/cabinet designs. I had expected them to be sonically inert like most high end cabinets... but they were about as thin and flimsy as you could possibly make them. But... this was the key to the sound and the resonances of the cabinet were tuned for the overall…

Yup. I just don't see the infatuation with wanting to modify production drivers. Some ideas may sound great in your head. I think the design engineer knows best though. . nG Yeah, you're right. I'm glad Fi doesn't offer any "options". dick. Do you also go by ibanender on splbassx? You guys would probably LOVE to get together and circle jerk. (he's ALMOST as big an ass as you.)

I too see your point... But from a marketing standpoint...a better choice of words would probably bethe better way to go...you know the whole "politically correct" thing.. The company is going in the direction of an infinitely customizible sub by the end consumer...so i think the catch phrase of "infinite possbilities" would be better suited...it idolizes the direction of the company a little better than "effing insane"...and it is "politically correct" -Nick

We were given a project in my business management class -- make a business. I decided on doing a car audio shop. I got all the work on the business done early, so I figured I'd go above-and-beyond and build a movable car audio cabinet to show off a bit Here's the build log: I went to Lowes and got two sheets of 3/4" MDF, and had them cut it to spec. (The pictures are quite big if you click 'em... 56K'ers be warned!) The top being screwed on: The screws are in!: Counter-sunk ftw: I'll be filling those screw holes with some sort of putty so I can later paint the whole cabinet. The bottom's on!: The one problem about working with yourself and not having corner clamps…

I recently purchased a 12" Q powered by a hifonics 1206D at 1 ohm. its in a 2.87 cube box tuned (according to my cabin) to 25Hz. its in a 96 4 door blazer. up front i have dayton classic midbass, dayton reference midrange, audax tweets powered by a couple cheap amps (until i can afford a quality 6ch amp) and my crossover is an old PPI frx-456. HU is kenwood excelon kdx-589. using knukonceptz klarity kables for main RCA's and dayton audio rca's from the crossover to the amps. 1/0 wire all around, even big three. i love my Q. it blends so well with the rest of the components. and so looooooooow

+1 You are tiring. Have they not banned you yet? All I see you do around here is piss on peoples threads. Who gives a chit that you mod some other site? Not me, you are a worthless annoyance here and I have asked you to stay out of my threads numerous times. Thanks for the bump.
