your doing a good job of making everyone not want to help you at all. people on the forum kid around and if you cant take it then stop posting. your just making it worse by arguing with everyone. if you've been into car audio for 20 years how do you have no idea that under powering a sub is perfectly fine? Asking if it was ok to underpower the sub wasn't the question douchebag!! Way to twist my words around. Some subs don't come alive until a certain power point and that is what I wanted to know. I have heard decent things about the Fi Q and was wondering what the deal was with them. To tell you the truth, I heard their customer service is horrible, and now to see the…

(somehow I doubt that you're laughing) If you can explain how to model room gain with nothing to go on other than a pic, you may revolutionize audio as we know it. If you can do the same with in-cabin response, the AES would make you an honorary member. Who the fruck make this guy a member of the tech team? This is Audio101. That's equivalent to asking, "When did you stop beating your wife?" Please illustrate your claiming the enclosure is too small. I'd love to see this. Ahhh...so all 8" subs are the same. Brilliant. So what? 1. As was already illustrated, the enclosure is not too small, regardless of your wishful thinking. 2. <sigh> Are you another poster who …

It's chin scraps! I haven't seen that video before. The helmet I was referring to was the Ron White "Color coded awareness system." It's pretty tame for Ron White. I don't know how to embed a video, so here's the link. Put your helmet on!!

I ask questions so people can get answers, most are predecided and want someone to just reiterate what they like even if it is the wrong answer. I won't do that. It's not the questions; it's the firm opinions on configs/gear that you've never heard. That doesn't exactly make one credible. Exactly why I rounded down to 10lbs or 66% of the weight of MDF. It won't be quite that light though. .9 came from ID direct: http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/manuals/iD/ID8D2%20V.pdf .35-.45 is recommended. I used the lower of the two and then added the volume of the two drivers which gets us to .8-.9. I did read that you said .6, but again you ask to have a nice sounding system an…
