I have US Amp's MD.3D amp (2000 watts output), would it be necessary to add BP Power for this setup? Or will i be ok? Is there a differance in SQ or sound output without BP Power?

I've had my fi Q12 for about 7 months now. I woke up one day, started driving turned up the volume and all of a sudden a horrible rattling noise started playing. It's like a car rattling noise but coming directly from the speaker. I dont think the sub is blown. the cone pushes down just fine but I hate to play it loud cause it sounds so bad for the sub. I just took it out in case i need to send it in to get reconed. do you think ill need to do that? what do you think the problem is? thanks

Estimate the lows? Impossible? Lol, so what makes you assume you know better then? Ever built an enclosure that is too small and listened to it? I haven't used that 8, but every ID sub that I have played with preferred the enclosure on the larger side of their recommendations. Their marketing department is eager to put smaller enclosures as recommendations, but that doesn't mean they really should be recommended. Could I be wrong? Sure, but I really doubt it. Go ahead and build an undersized enclosure for your 8's and see how it is. I'd guarantee though that a single 10 in an optimized box will give you nicer output and definitely act more like a sub. Ill also add that when i push down in the middle of the sub, on the FI decal/dustcap, with approximately 2-5 pounds of force, the sound stops.

Ive got (2) Kicker CVR Aluminized 12"s in a sealed box at the moment. I'm looking to build a ported box for them. Very little space in my trunk though, after replacing the POS factory Bose 6x9s. They hang down a little lower than expected, and also to note my torsion bar broke off the spot weld. I need some box dimensions along with ports and what not. I have a width=35" height=15".
