Alright my budget is around $800 and i was wanting to get Fi Subs. I really like the SSD's but i think that may be out of my budget. So i was wondering if the Fi.X's are any good? If not then i want to go with the SSD's And i was wondering what amp would be great at running these at 1ohm stable.

so i am wanting to set my gain on my amp and i have read a ton on the dd-1. some people love it and some think it is useless. Ok so i have no experience with an o scope at all but watched some videos and i think i could do it. So with someone like me who has never set there gains with an o scope would it still be a good idea for me to get an o scope or a dd-1? and can you tune your hertz with an o scope? I am open to any suggestions just please keep in mind that im a newbie with setting gains....

I have talked to Dom Iraggi and I know for sure I am getting his 4 alt bracket. I've had multiple people who I trusted tell me to run at least one 200a or smaller alternator in order to support my normal car functions. After talking to Dominick Iraggi he told me to get 4 260amp alternators, that they would supply me with the most power for my daily driving setup, since they have great idling amperage and I would never see full power without reving the engine (which I wouldn't do). I know plenty of guys on here run 300a alts and bigger, so thats where my conflict comes in there. I want to make sure I'm giving my amps as much power as possible, and I'm willing to go as sma…

As for the process of going Active I understand that part, my definition of going active is letting your headunit, processor or amp's crossover capabilities control the speakers frequency range. Instead of using one speaker to play a wide range of frequencies you can split them up into a 2-way sytem (midbass/midrange and tweeters) or 3-way system (midbass, midrange and tweeters); where each speaker plays its own certain frequency range such as midbass, midrange and highs. That is my simple understanding of going active and not the best or most accurate definition. Now onto the question at hand I use Eminence Alpha-6a for now on my Sundown SAX-125.2 (2 per channel) and the…

ok So ive been looking at build logs for awhile been on a member on ca for a while just never really posted anything. They'll make you wanna choke em some of the shyt they do. But i work at best buy and we get a pretty good discount on the speakers and stuff. So im trying 2 decide between a rf 1000bd thousand watts at 1ohm or an alpine mrp 1000 thousand watts at 2 ohms gonna get p3's or type Arghhs 12's. Just dont know much about either brand i've only owned kenwood excelon. Heard some rf stuff in my unkles tsx they where pretty loud, But i kno that the alpine subs atleast are over rated but the amps i hear get hot quick. Hopefully i dont get flamed for not having pics…

upgraded to 2 sa12's, 800 watts each. and im not noticing a big big difference in loudness. it shakes everything alot more, and i know im getting more bass. i thought that adding another sub and giving it 300 more rms would be alot louder. when the volume is at 20, i dont notice a difference, but when its at 22 my subs go insane. but my music gets crazy loud too, i was hoping that my subs would overpower the lyrics and music, so i would get nice bass without having absurdly loud singing and whatnot. im wondering if maybe my box isnt great. might sell it and get a jl basswedge for both subs, cause that would not only fit better.. but my single sa sounded great in that box…

Came upon this new mp3 player called cowon j3 Koreon device just came out has eq and all other kind of stuff on it says its a SQ mp3 player also supports flac files. . One thing i found out flac files are the best sounding type files and ipods dont support them. Is this the real deal or can find something similar??? the price of it is cheaper then the ipod(Not that much).

Hey guys, I have an 07 Tundra and I wanted a quiet ride. I laid down a layer of Dynamat Extreme and a layer of mass load vinyl from Second Skin (Luxury Liner Pro) on the entire floor and rear wall of the truck. It cut down the noise considerably. Now I can hear engine noise (coming through the fire wall in the front (which not much I can do about that) and exhaust/road noise coming through the doors. I think I can definitely do something with the doors. What material do you suggest to cover the doors? A layer of Dynamat Extreme? I read that Dynamat will cut down vibration, not so much with noise. The Mass Load Vinyl (Lux Liner Pro) is the stuffs for noise...howev…

Spoke with Nick @ IA this morning. Customer service there never ceases to amaze. Anyway, got wind of some pro audio woofers coming. I can't say when, but I'm pretty stoked. Also a new Flatlyne coming. I'm glad they're branching out and expanding as a company. Congratulations IA! Now send me 2 of the new DR 12's, and 2 of the Pro Woofers. LOL

So I found out today that the version of WinIsd I had been using became obsolete ages ago Trying to model a JL Audio 15w0v3 and I'm skeptical of the cone excursion graph it's showing. Considering I modeled the thing in a 15 ft3 box tuned to 15hz I was expected cone excursion to at least get higher than 1.5mm on 500 watts. I feel like I've done something wrong but for the life of me I can't figure it out! I'm confident all the driver parameters I entered were correct.. Any insight as to what foolish thing I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

I got in on the Jan 1st special and purchased a set of Mach 5 Mli-65 mids. I've been planning a 2 way setup for my S10 that will run these mids, a passive crossover, and the North D25 tweeters. This will run off of either 2 channels of a Punch 600.4, or one of my Van Gough 600's. The setup is going into the door panels on an MDF baffle board that I'll be building soon. My question here is these tweeters are a low FS design and run at 6 ohm, the mids are 4 ohm. I found a set of Boston passive crossovers that're rated at 2700hz and I'm assuming they're rated at 8 ohm, here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Boston-Acoustics-2-Way...1QQcmdZViewItem If these are rated at 8 …

So I am going to do an upgrade and was wanting some feedback on how it will do. The upgrade with consist of 2 ssa icons in a a 32hz box which I would like to have a 3.5cu ft after displacement of .16 x 2 from driver with a crescendo bc2000d and will run of 4awg power and ground til I have the money to get a spool of 2 or 0 ga wire. I'm a bit confused on the rms rating of the icons since they only show 1250rms but no info on peek, which I would like to know how far I could push them. Which way would or should I have to face the box so that more of the bass goes to the inside of the car and vibrate the seats to help massage my back after a 10 and a half hour day of work. Th…
