Hello. I have two Sundown SA-12 d4 and a saz1500d v.3 and im having a little problem with what gauge wire i should be using. right now i would like to run it at 1ohm but im probably going with the 4ohm hook up. I still have my stock battery and alt and im not trying to run them down anytime soon. some people have also told me i can run them at 1ohm since i dont run my system all the time but im still a little sketchy saz1500dv.3- 1ohm =1500watt rms 4ohm=530watt rms

Ok.. I have a FI BTL 18 and a Rockford Fosgate T30001bd amp. I have all 1/0awg wire big 3 and a kinetik 1400 in the back. So when i first hooked everything up it was SUPER loud.. but for some reason when i like park somewhere and shut it off then go to get in to show someone it is not even close to as loud as it was.. Does anyone have any ideas. My only idea is because i only have a kinetik 1400 in the back so its not enough power? And sometimes when i turn it up it will start pounding and the will start to cut out. I was wondering if anyone else would know what the problem would be.

OK this is what I have, 1-12" single 4ohm PG Xmax sub PWR 400 wavelength amp-600wrms @ 4ohms and clarion x-over pioneer deck box is 2.5cuft tuned to 30hz, with-in specs of what PG suggests. gains are set correct. This is what happens, I play a song like, Late night tip or some lil john, songs that I think hit pretty low, and SHIP does it get loud and low, but as soon as I put on anything that has hard bass, it doesn't get near as loud I mean nothing, nothing short of cranking it and adding bass boost will help, but this isn't what I want to have to do. This is in a 90 acura TRUNK not hatchback, sub facing back of trunk and the port is on the same side as the sub. my t…

So i've got an Fi SSD15 in a 3 cube box @ 37hz. sounds really awesome and clean on the lows, up to about 55hz. there seems to be a massive hole in the bass response between 60-70hz. I have the LPF at around 110hz because despite what i hear most people cross their subs at, mine just gets louder and louder and plays clean up to that spot. there's no apparent cancellation when i open the trunk, the woofer seems to play all the way from 30-100hz effortlessly and with a fairly transient response. the thing is that its in a sub UP port back configuration, and there only about 3-4 inches of clearance between the subwoofer cone and the roof of the trunk. I had tried moving t…

Not too long ago, some of us went on a buying frenzy of some posted equipment by 'NEXT'. I was wondering if anyone who had bought amps or subs had any feedback on quality and sound? I bought a set of co-ax spkrs and a component set, and they sounded great. Just curious.. MattB

Hello all. I just finished up my fiberglass box today. I am posting a link to my gallery at ED's galleries. Can someone tell me how to post pics in the thread so I don't have to link to it. This box is about 1.8 or so cubic feet. I measured volume with packing peanuts. So it is not exact. Now I have to move onto my amp rack and then my doors. This fiberglassing thing aint too bad. kinda fun once you figure it out. Anywho, here is the link. Please let me know what you think and any comments. Thanks, Jim http://www.edesignaudio.com/gallery/showga...t=500&ppuser=52

So no more then an hour ago I had a post about a Focal amp I found on WoofersEtc.com for 200 bucks but then someone recommended an NVX amp. I checked out the website which i'll link below and was impressed with the gear and information provided. What they had to say about there company and videos I watched I figured they are definitely worth a look. As of now I am looking at Soundqubed for my amps but I can get NVX amps for a little cheaper and from what I saw they look better. Anyone have experience with this company ?? They formed in 2011 according to the website and the gear looks impressive. I'm even looking at the VCW122 12' dual 2 woofer. Stats look good. FI Q12 is…

My HC 1800 came in today and I was lucky I ordered the side post attachments cause I'm using it as my atarter and system battery and found out it was too tall and was able to fit it in my battery tray on it's side. Damm that thing is heavy but it sure is the best battery I ever used. My system is louder with cleaner highs, tighter bass and a broader stereo image (not need for a cap now).also my RF T6004 was cool after a half an hour and my RF T6002 was a little warm wich is definatelty better than scalding hot with my stock battery. I was shocked with the performance of my engine (no more stumble on acceleration) now that it's not starved for power and best of all no dimm…

Im still deciding on which Subwoofer to get, so I just wanna know if anyone have SQ subwoofer along the lines of Fi Q or Si MAG v4. or in the price range of under $300. Maybe we can meet up for a drink and have a go at the sub? TIA

I'm looking to get a o-scope. I do have an ancient scope it works, I think, there's just too many dials and chit than I know what to do with. And I rather know how to use it than just guess. What kinds of things should I be looking for? Size, Price, Features, etc. Are there any like idiot proof ones that are accurate and reliable? I saw the Velleman 10 MHz Handheld Oscilloscope over on Partsexpress.com Is it any good? and should I also pick up the Velleman 10:1 Probe as well, or do I really need it? Help me out here guys, I usually set the gains by ear. But not this time around, not with this much power or potential for chit to go really really wrong

I have a question for you all. I found a guy that used to own a car audio shop back in the day. He's got the whole Hifonics VII and VII series. I'm interested in a series VII Zeus. It's hard to find people that will ship to military personnel overseas and he's willing to do this. He wants $700. It's new in box. I remember when I paid $1/watt. Does this still apply for a classic amp that's 20yrs old? I'm not trying to rip this guy off or low ball him but I was thinking $500 - $600 max! Am I being cheap? All inputs are appreciated.

Does anybody know about when they will become available like next month or next year and around how much they will cost? I either want to get a saz1500v2 used for 287 before the sales ends or the OA. I really want the OA but I don't want to pay more then 300 for it when I can get the saz cheaper now.

I haven't heard very much about hear much about these subs except that they are under rated at 600w RMS, my friends 2009 ssa icon just popped, (intentionally) but were now looking for something new and i was wondering if you could run the obsidian at over 600w RMS daily. coming from 1250 with the ssa to 600 is kind of a change so just wondering.

My company is developing the industry's first line of factory replacement headunits. They require no dash kit and wiring harness on various model vehicles which are entirely "Bolt-n-Replace" with factory look, often factory functionality as well as like steering wheel controls and in-demand features like Bluetooth, Navigation, iPod, XM, Sirius Satellite and DVD. We need Sound Solutions Audio to help us strategize which features and model vehicles would be best. We're launching next month with models for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Buick, Chevy, Hummer, Pontiac, Saturn, Suzuki, Toyota, Scion and Volkswagen with more to follow and want to ensure that we…
