hello guys im going to start my new box and this time im building it my self . anyone who has work on some FI bl's not sure if the size matters but mine are 18" and im looking to have them to reach their limit using less power so going with a bigger box instead of smaller box with more power . my dimensions are w58"L24"H26" these are the outside measurements. im thinking of using two sonotubes either 8" to 10" because their 8" ones are more like 8.5" or 9". so i have to get back at you guys with the tunning of the box which i wanted to be 30hz sub up port up so if someone has time to make me a design i will appreciate it. i don't want something crazy just 45's and…

Hey guys. well if you don't know, I'm trying to go active on this next seutp. I'm wondering a couple things though. 1) you think audio control EQTS(2 since they are mono) and a 4XS is a good combo? I'm choosing them because the EQTS have 31 band 1/3 octave EQ, and the 4xs will support all of my speakers properly. Plus they are pretty cheap, 250 (if you can find them) for the EQTS, and about 60-80 bucks for the 4xs. 2) I need a H/U that will support my 4 way setup, for time alignment. what are some good H/U's that do this? hey everyone i am in the market for a new amp. i currently have a us amps xt1600.2 powering my ssa icon 12'' and i am ready to upgrade to something that will do closer to 1000 rms at 1 ohm. i am looking at audiopipes (cant go wrong for the price...i have heard mostly good things about them) and cant decide between the ap1000d or ap1500d. it would be nice to have the extra 500 watts of the ap1500d but i am on stock electrical except the big 3 at the moment. my question is can i just run the ap1500d at the voltage for 1000 rms at 1 ohm temporarily until i get an external battery and what not? or will it still pull more power from the electrical system regardless if it…

Ok i was looking at the book and it is saying for a 1 or 4 ohm load hook the - neg. of the sub to the + pos. of the amp and + pos. of the sub to the - neg. of the amp????? is that right

Recently someone broke into my truck so i took out everything except the wiring. so i have my box out and i have never been to do a air trick with the 2 18" bl's in the silverado ext cab . so my question is what can i do to improve the box. my goal is to move lots of air and im not into the numbers TL. my box is 55X24X24 there outside measurements with no 45s nor nothing just simple with port on the side if i remember correctly its tune to 32htz with 205 of port area would making pvc ports help alot or what can i do ? here is a pic of the box PIC OF BOX

I don't know what happened!! I had sound one day and then the next day,I didn't. I have tried playing the radio and a CD and neither works. I have the stock amp and the stock radio and I had my local BMW dealer put a 6 CD changer in the trunk. I have posted this question on another website and nobody there helped!! i was wondering if someone could help me. Im getting 2 saz-3000d amps and i want to strap them to push 2 fi BTL's 15" 1ohm dvc setup. I was wondering how i can wire the woofers to get a 1ohm load so i can get the full 3000 watts from each amp, or do i need to wire them for a 2ohm load so each amp gets a 1ohm load im new to dvc subs so this is why i ask. i want each of the subs to be running at 1 ohm no lower.Any help would be greatful thanks a bunch. also one more question wile im thinking about it i plan on getting a powermaster 200amp or more alt and 2 power master d3100 batts one for each amp and upgrade my stock batt to an optima yellow or red top and also run 2 tsu…

...and one of the main deciding factors was that it has to have a lot of potential for a very good sound stage. Probably something that a lot of you have thought about. What would it be? SUV? Hatchback car? Small? Big? Medium? Oh and it has to be decently quick and cool looking, manual, and around $5.5K used. i want to lower my tuning in one of my enclosures 2 each 4 " aeroports how close can i bring them to the floor or what is the minimum space i need to leave from top of floor to bottom of ports Thanks

I got my orion 2500d back from the stereo doc. last night and wired up one of my subs to the amp @ 4 ohms. didn't play much with the eq. and junk, just set it at about 80Hz, and gain about 3/4. My kinetik 2400 has not got here yet, so its only drawing from the yellow top under the hood at the moment, but it seems to do fine with the load boss 230A alt., at all but full volume, then I need to step on the gas a little to keep the volts up around 12. the box is a "team toxic bass/ hexi-base" horn enclosure tuned to about 45Hz. guys were bored at the shop so I stopped in to test out the single 15" 144.7 db thats on music, a random song.... not bad huh? sounds amazingly clean …

89' CRX, unmolested, pretty clean, came on 17" enkei shoguns, was a 50 yr old ladies car , very clean inside. Great base to start from, no fast and the furios crap will be bolted on to this.. But It will have a ALpin 7949 deck, 2 tc 3hp/FI 12" subs, on a AMerican bass xd3000. And a set of the Lanzar Opti6c comps on my old school Sony xm-5046.. should be a great project

im thinking about getting either one 15 sp4 or 2 10 SSDs I am running a old school lanzar opti drive 2000D amp nothing but true power! but I want to know what level entry is the sp4 and ssd? what set up will be louder?! what one will sound better? I know 15s get deep and 10s get punchy and loud Right now I have a dc level 3 15 and 3 type rs all old school. But im stepping down for something new, So one 15 sp4 or 2 10 ssds?! BOTH will be in ported boxes! and powered on the same amp! I do have a solid power with volts. which will be louder and what will be better sq?

ok i want to throw a after market amp in my truck. i found this on a forum for my car seems like a good idea and a time saver...im trying to amp the speakers in my front doors. edit:link wont show up but this is what i found so it is a quote and i have the bose stock amp . I have an 1988 camaro iroc z. I have drawn out a box plan for the box to set on the hump area. the box numbers are 8"h x 22"d x 40"w. Which is 4.07 cu.ft and 3 net. I have 8" clearance for the port. I am roughtly 2" from the glass on the end of the box. with about 6" from the glass in middle - where the subs would be. I haven't built a box or done any figuring on the numbers. Math was never my strong area, lol. I am looking at doing 3 DD 1508 or 2 SSA Icon 10s. Would this box work? What would my port need to be?
