Hey guys , need a little help here i have my mono amp under my driver seat , and my component's amp under my passenger seat, now i am going to be entering into street stock division this season, and i heard from a reliable source that i would have to move my amps into the trunk to qualify in street stock , and then i heard from another reliable source that as long as the amps are completely hidden under the seat that it would be all good, ??? which is the correct info ?? any help or advice would be apreciated, thanks

I live up north in michigan, in a town called TRAVERSE CITY michigan. And i wana buy 2 SI MAG 15"s and put 2 US Amps in 1 or 2 for comps and 1 for the subs. And i wana install 2 sets of Orion P's and my incar computer. Now this is a week long project i suspect, and non of its here yet so im planning this now. I can handle bills and supporting some one for a week or as long as it takes. But i know nothing about stereos and the wirign and all that, so i plan on having all this by august then before school i wana drop it all in. This is the plan someth…

I want to get 8 gauge speaker wire for my speakers and was wondering if it matter if I use "Power Wire"? Here is the link. KnuKoncepts Power Wire And if I want 5 feet i would really need to double it for positive and negative so it would come out to 10 feet in quantity, right? Thanks in advance, Never bought from KnuKoncepts.

Gonna put some subs under the rear seat in my 2007 Silverado. If I face the subs firing out into the cab, the biggest subs I can fit without moddifying the seats are 8's. But if I face em up, I can get away with 10's or possibly 12's. My question is: Would firing the subs up into the bottom of the seat effect their sound? Is this advisable to do, or would there not really be a difference? Thanks.

Alrite, I've been reading these forums daily, looking at build logs, and can now hopefully put together my system that has been long in process. It has been slowed down due to my original car which I planned to install the system in being totaled because of some careless lady who pulled out in front of me... whatever I'm sure you guys dont care much about my life problems heres the audio situation. My current system consists of... Fi SSD 15" Dual 2 -- 3.7 cu ft ported enclosure tuned to 33hz (built it my self, came out great =) ) Sundown SAE 1000D Pioneer DEH-P5100UB Not much yet... I know I still need the amplifier install kit, which I will be buying soon. This is goi…

Okay I've been on these forums and have been looking at a lot of box designers and box designs. I was just curious to find out how much everybody paid for their enclosures/ sub boxes? This is not for the experts who can make their own boxes though your expert quotes are welcomed. This is for those who don't know and are learning how to make enclosures and had to pay lol. Also state if materials were included or not. If possible give the length of time it took. Pics would also be a plus.

I currently have a Yamaha RV-V800 5.1 receiver and enjoy it quite a bit. I wouldn't go back to 'consumer brands' like sony, kenwood, jvc etc (no offense). OK, well some people have asked me about Tang Band 6.5 subwoofers, model # W6-1139SG. These are very potent little 6.5s and easily comparable to the JL 6W0. I actually thought in the install it was in was better than the JL 6W0 i owned. So how many would be interested in a group buy? Minimum TOTAL order of drivers would be 10 drivers, but the even cheaper price woul dbe for a total of 100 drivers, the exact price(s) has not been determined as i need to figure in shipping and paypal fees. These can be used in either HT or car applications with good results. Also i believe there is a 5.25 version coming out 1/6/06. This could also be added into the group buy.

Basicly, Im starting from scratch. Active. I need some good info on which speakers I may need. It will be a 2way. With 6.5/7s and small format tweets. I need a "good" h/u that can go active. Im sorta on a budget, not a tight one, but not anything OVER 1 grand. Cheaper teh better. Lets see what we come up with.

Alright, so I would like to get some input from the community on this one. Just a note, when I say "I", I will be referring to anybody building a system. Ok, so if I was to build a brand spanking new system in a completely stock vehicle. Where would I start, and where would I finish? That is the main question that this thread is created for. I am looking for inputs on how a system should start IDEALY for someone that is starting from scratch. Lets just assume that money, space, and time is out the picture on this one, which I am fully aware is never the case. Where should a person start. I am going to list thing is ascending order, starting from the most important, to the…
