  4. Just like the title says, if you were looking for something what car audio site would you check out for your item used? I hope this is not against the rules Big D (Denim), it's just that the readership here is more quality rather than quantity so sales area is a little lacking. If it is then I'll take my a$$ kickin like a man......

Ive been trolling here for awhile getting ideas and researching various things and I finally have a reason to post. Im posting because I need some advice. I had 2 15" alpine type R subs come way for dirt cheap. $150 for both I need help deciding on an enclosure, an amp, and even a head unit. I honestly dont know my 'goals' as its been a very long time since I have had a system. A long time ago when they were new I had 1 MTX 9500 sub that I really enjoyed. I listen to all kinds of music, mainly rap/pop and rock with some heavier stuff (Avenged Sevenfold) This will all be going into a 1998 Eclipse GSX As far as budget, im somewhat flexible, Lets say I'd like to stay und…

  7. I live in west Los angeles (santa monica) and my local shop wants $200 just for instalation and $400 to build a ported box. They must be out of their f**king minds. So if anybody lives in los angeles and can build me a box and install my sub and amp, please post. We can discuss Rates and fee's later. This is a good way to earn some extra cash, I will pay for all the supplies and materials+ extra money for labor (we can discuss how much in private via messaging) thanks C

My Pioneer 690ub powers on, I can flip through the menus, and set everything. But, I don't have sound from any of my speakers. I tried them on a stock radio, so they aren't blown. so I'm thinking it's the head unit speaker outputs. If my head unit outputs are blown, can I still hook up a 2-channel amp to my front 6.5's? Or do I have to replace my whole head unit? Trying to get my sounds right before I upgrade, so I can Any help is appreciated.

Does anyone know or have imfo on which full size four door pickup has the most room under the rear seat? Or which one is easier to install subs under rear seat? Looking at 2008 and newer. I'm shopping for trucks and what subs and equipment that will fit plays a big role in the decision.

  13. i was wondering if someone could help me. Im getting 2 saz-3000d amps and i want to strap them to push 2 fi BTL's 15" 1ohm dvc setup. I was wondering how i can wire the woofers to get a 1ohm load so i can get the full 3000 watts from each amp, or do i need to wire them for a 2ohm load so each amp gets a 1ohm load im new to dvc subs so this is why i ask. i want each of the subs to be running at 1 ohm no lower.Any help would be greatful thanks a bunch. also one more question wile im thinking about it i plan on getting a powermaster 200amp or more alt and 2 power master d3100 batts one for each amp and upgrade my stock batt to an optima yellow or red top and also run 2 tsu…

I have an opportunity to buy either. full bodies or mini. I am planning to go full. but my question is: 1. Is it worth the extra money to get the pro instead of the cd1e? 2. Will i notice a significant difference? I plan to use a passive crossover that i will make (from schematics the ID tech gave) but will be EQing using my eclipse cd7000(7band peq). iirc i can only use passive on the cd1e and not the pro. correct? I dont think my deck has a fancy enough dsp to handle the pro?...or am i wrong? thanks. oh btw id like for them to play down to 1kish. my mids are hertz hsk 165s if it matters.

  17. Ive got an alpine mrp m350 amp that does 350 watts @ 2 ohm and a 4 ohm dvc ssa dcon 10". Im trying to run the sub at around 300-350 watts in parallel at 2 ohms. I want to accurately set my gain and found the equation that you are suppossed to use to find the optimal volts. Voltage = sqrt(rms x impedence) So is this what i would do for my 4 ohm dvc woofer? Voltage = sqrt(300x4ohm) Voltage = sqrt(1,200) Voltage = 35 Or is it this since im running the amp at 2 ohm to a 4 ohm dvc woofer Voltage = sqrt(300x2 ohm) Voltage = sqrt(600) Voltage = 24.5

How much 1/0 should I buy for the van? I was thinking about replacing the runs already in the van with new wire, so what 100' power and like 25' ground? Also, how thick speaker wire would you use for roughly 1000w per woofer? I figured 10awg speaker wire should suffice just fine. Although 8awg could happen if needed.

  20. ...and one of the main deciding factors was that it has to have a lot of potential for a very good sound stage. Probably something that a lot of you have thought about. What would it be? SUV? Hatchback car? Small? Big? Medium? Oh and it has to be decently quick and cool looking, manual, and around $5.5K used. Since my truck is so unreliable, I'm throwing in the towel and buying something else. Plus everyone who has a standard cab S-10 knows exactly how hard it is to get good sound going in it. I'm planning on doing barely anything on the outside save for some window tint, and doing a very clean, very stealthy install. No bling, no flair. No fancy speaker grilles or brigh…

Right now I'm talking to my dad about a system for our boat. We have a Yamaha AR230. He wants a whole new system. He wants new speakers to fill the orginal spots. Then he wants bass. He was looking at JL audio, but I told him not to get that, because it's too expensive for what he wants. I don't think he would really tell the difference between JL and something else. I want to get him some subs and amps from the VVME website. I know they're not the best subs, but they're cheap and will get the job done for what he wants. Warm weather is almost here for us, so we're going to get the boat back soon. I havent really measured what space he has, but I'm pretty sure it will…

  23. I've been searching for the past hour. And I have found many tones, but they're all protected by Quick Time Player and I can't download them! I've tried google, and I've tried searching the forums here, but I get seemingly random results that have nothing to do with the words I entered into the search... Does anyone know where I can find an mp3 of a 50 hz sine wave that I can download for free? (I'm also looking for 30 hz, 70 hz, 100 hz, 150 hz, and 200 hz.) I'm sorry I fail at the internet

  25. Ok so i have a 10" JL w3v3 4ohm driver and a cheapo pioneer amp( i know i know moneys tight) So i hooked this all in my 05 ranger with a Kenwood Excelon deck. I have 2ga welding wire for ALL hot and cold connections. I did the big 3 except for the engine ground for Now. I tossed my cap out as it didnt help and read alot of bad ju ju about them. I get dimming light as do most on Hard bass hits whenthe amp is at +6db's and the deck is at 5 to 15db's. I want to know if i should invest in a second battery (xs power or kinetick) or swap the stock battery out for a better one?? Otherwise i thought about just getting a H/O alternator.? I dont wanna spend a fortune i want to sti…
