So I'm trying to do the big three and I'm looking for some battery distribution blocks that will fit on my battery posts for 1/0 gauge. I think i need 4 total holes. 1 for my alt to my positive, 1 for my battery ground, 1 for my power wire, and 1 for my negative. anyone know where i can get some for less that $80 all together?

Can someone help? Like a how to with doors. Do you spray the inside of the door and cover the holes with that rubber matt type stuff? Do you use it on your fire-wall as well as all over? What about that foam stuff to fill up holes? Is it a good idea? OR spray cans of deading spray? I would love a good writeup from someone that can help and mabe everyone can add some things and we make it a sticky? Thanks guys!

I don't know what happened!! I had sound one day and then the next day,I didn't. I have tried playing the radio and a CD and neither works. I have the stock amp and the stock radio and I had my local BMW dealer put a 6 CD changer in the trunk. I have posted this question on another website and nobody there helped!! Question. Do passive crossovers need space for cooling? Reason, I am tired of the HD crossovers being behind the seat. I have seen other installs in the same make and model as my truck with the crossovers mounted on the door between the sheet metal and the door panel. Sarasota, Florida is now the most costly place in Florida to have a loud car stereo system. with a new law that gives police the authority to impound cars if they can hear the tunes from 25 feet away there will be no first time offender warning in my freaking city no, first-time offenders face a $74 fine for violating the city's noise ordinance, and a $125 towing fee to get their vehicles out of the impound yard. Better be careful with my new city. Gotta love the stupid old people in my state. Not that I'm not courteous at night hours and stop lights but wow. So i got a double din installed on my car and after about a month my system would just randomly turn off(headunit would power off and same with subs and amp) it did it once then would reboot. I took it in they changed the wire harness and the ground. It fixed it for about 2 days i then decided to change my negative battery cable and that fixed it for a few months and then it came back and i noticed that with the head unit turned off that there was a bass note from the subs playing real faint until i turn the bass knob it gets louder. What could be the issue on why my head unit turns off by its self faulty head unit, bad amp need help asap.

So im in the process of a new build. Ive had a Skar VVX15 and DC Lvl4 18. Def loved the DC more. ( just sold that ) but its so expensive for me to get multiples. For this new build i want to do either 15s or 18s for sake of its cheaper to get louder (meaning price of 1 18s is cheaper than 2 12s of equivalent specs) So my question is what kinda ideas you guys got! At least doing 2 subs. maybe 4 if i can afford. Just as topic said. I plan to upgrade my alternator. Currently my alternator is rated at 60 amps (I know...) and plan to upgrade maybe twice the size (minimum of 100 amps) for daily. I dont need high power alternator as I am not competing... well maybe 1 or 2 comps doesnt hurt. My question is, is there a risk of upgrading to a bigger alternator??? Do i just swap it, make a bracket for the new alternator? Or do I really need to install 2nd battery for that. Reason being is that I was told by the shop that if you upgrade to a big alternator.. it will fried all your electrical components in your car as its capable to put out more current than the stock alternator. Last night when hooking up a friends system, after getting everything hooked up, the subs just didn't hit. The amp light turns on but nothing is happening.. Tried testing a different sub using different speaker wire but still nothing. What could be the problem?

car is a 1988 toyota camry deluxe 4wd sedan. all factory. double din h/u, 4" fronts, 5.25" rears. here are the wants.. single din h/u 4" two ways 5.25" two ways budget for everything, including dash kit/harness is right around $300-$350. would like a h/u with sub control for later and a dedicated sub preout at the bare minimum. all stuff can be used and if it's something personal, i even have some stuff to trade to help. i have a mach5 12, or a la x2 12, or a rl-i8 or a rl-p12 or a pair of clarion 8's for subs, but that will come later. right now, just the basics. i'm asking you guys to help because i really don't have the time to dig around the net to find the best deal.…

I have a friend with the truck above, he wants to keep the factory h/u and look. My 1st thought was a Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.1 to handle that duty, buts it kind of an expensive route to take unless I pick it up off ebay or a similar place. Sub wise we're going with the Soundsplinter RL-i 8 either dual 4 or single 4, dependent on amp choice he makes. Planning on ported, but what size box/port area/vent size do you recommend?? OK, well some people have asked me about Tang Band 6.5 subwoofers, model # W6-1139SG. These are very potent little 6.5s and easily comparable to the JL 6W0. I actually thought in the install it was in was better than the JL 6W0 i owned. So how many would be interested in a group buy? Minimum TOTAL order of drivers would be 10 drivers, but the even cheaper price woul dbe for a total of 100 drivers, the exact price(s) has not been determined as i need to figure in shipping and paypal fees. These can be used in either HT or car applications with good results. Also i believe there is a 5.25 version coming out 1/6/06. This could also be added into the group buy.
