When is it, where is it, and how much is to get in.

Well I was down in Florida visiting my dad and this event just happened to be going on. So I was there. I did IASCA bass boxing tied for 5th doing 146 in a 60 second run. To bad bass boxing doesnt take watts into consideration the guy that beat me was running about 5000 watts of more power only doing a 150.1. Didnt see to many Sundown setups there. Galactic Monkey was there with the 24 15"s off I think 8 3000d's. Looking into getting one, and was wondering what you guys thought some good ones were.

Got stuck with another moonroof when I got my new truck(2001 blazer) wondering if anyone else has had any problems with the roof after having bass for awhile, ie not opening/ closing or no longer making a seal? I had one in my old car and it wasn't the same when I got rid of it as when I got it but figured that's jsut because it was a piece of chit Saturn.

If you had to pick out of these few set ups, which one would you pick? 1) Fi Q 12" No BP SAE-1000d (Best Box for this?) 2) Fi Q 12" With BP SAZ-1500d (Best Box for this?) 3) AA Havoc 12" SAZ-1500d (Best Box for this?) 4) AA Havoc 12" RF 1500-1BD (Best Box for this?) I'm saving for my first car now and just want to get a nice system put in, budget is ok lower the better obv but dont want to buy some crap. I'm looking at a Corsa 1.2 SXi Twinport for the car. I did 2 of the big three on my car, the alt. to battery wire and the battery to body ground, both with 4ga wire. I didn't replace the battery to engine ground because the stock wire looks 4ga already. It seems now like there's either no effect or even worse voltage drop and dimming than before. Any input on what may be wrong. Do I need to shorten the wires more there is a few inches of slack, or maybe replace the stock 4ga wire any I did the right wires right?

i was thinking about a design something like this for 3 15's in a trunk let me know what you guys think...suggestions and opinions

Just wanted to thank the ones that have answered my questions and thank everyone for not being asses. I have not got "why would you do that""Who would do that""are you an idiot" ect ect. I am not new to car audio but I am new to the methods,formulas, and all. I only knew how to do what the manual said when you get you sub or amp. I am learning and enjoying the chit out of it. Okay, i basically have 2 questions here. The first question is about my factory stereo and connecting an amp in a 2008 Honda Accord. I'm not sure but i'm hoping someone on these forums know if i can connect the amp directly to the stereo itself, or will i need a product such as JL Audio CleanSweep adapter to connect the amp to and then run that to the back of the deck? I know it would be easier to get a whole new deck but that isnt an option right now. My second question is that this car does not come in with an ipod input! it does come with an auxiliary input but i would like to control the ipod straight from the dash and not hassle around with the ipod. so heres the deal. 2 SSAicon 12's . 2 Phoenix Gold V1502's. i'm not 100% sure but it seems like a 1.5 (i think) 2 12 sealed box. the amount of power the SSA's are amazing. anyways so i have a 98 malibu (folding back seats) right now i have the subs facing the back. i'm sick of having the box sliding around and afraid of damage so i'm going to put some L brackets to brace it. but first should i have the subs facing the back or should they be facing the front?

i got an ext cab s10 got rid of the blazer and i got an atomic 5000.1 and im thinking eith 2 btl 18's 2 auqioque 18's or 4 q 15's sealed.want something thats gonna move some air and slam pretty good with 5000 watts what would you do?

Hi, anyone who experienced these symptoms? * speakers are 6.5in. woofer and 1 inch tweeter, sometimes the left woofer stops playing while the tweeter is good. They're properly wired in their crossover. The woofer comes back whenever I adjust the volume at high level. * At high volume level, it sounds like you're playing the wire connection of the woofer, it's on..and it's off.. and on. * There are instances that the right woofer has the same problems too. * And sometimes the tweeter on the left channel stops too I already checked every connection and they're properly terminated. Quick shirt trick, then a video showing some stuff blow around. I finished deadening my doors and had a ton of little pieces of paper in my car from the deadener so I figured Id turn it up and make a video. Yes I know its dark. Oh well. The second song sucks, It was just some song on the radio. The first video would be better but I was trying to hold the deck, control the volume, and shoot a video. So I decided Id just turn on the radio and shoot a video with whatever song was on.

as a hardcore SQ guy I wanna try some new things for the next show. I want to be able to black all the windows out(pyscho-acustics) so the judges can't locate any of the drivers....I don't want it to look bad(towels and such) any ideas? I do wanna keep it as cheap as I can too but totally black the car out.

I am wanting to put 4 5x5 mid-bass driver under the back seats of my SUV. The question is, will a mounting board be sufficient or should I build an enclosure that'll fit nicely under the back seat?

hi, I'm using the online port calculator at RE Audio to calculate the port dimensions. However, if i want to use two subs in a shared air space, how do i calculate the port dimensions for a shared port on the two subs? or it does not matter since the port dimensions will depend on the box volume only.

i just wanted to know what is the correct way of using oscilloscope to set amplifier gain. 1. Do you scope the amp with the speakers connected? or just hook up the scopemeter to the amp speaker terminal? 2. What test tone to use to set subwoofer amp, midrange amp and tweeter amp? Will 50hz and 1khz be sufficient? I do notice that if i set amp gain at 80hz and then play 50hz test tone, the amp output is clipped. So how low on test tone frequency shall i use for sub amp? 3. For music playback, is it better to use 0db test tone or -3db / -6 db for gain overlap? thanks

can you just add an optima to your current system wired parallel. you would still just get 12v. or 13 whatever. but it said charging a deep cycle bat is a whole different thing. an it would just fry your alt. high output or not??? help please thanks again

Hey first off this forum is badass, learned alot so far!! Well I'm building a new box for (2) 15" DC lvl4/wlvl5 dual 1 ohm coils. This is going to be my 10th box in my nissan frontier so far...havn't found exactly what I'm looking for, hopefully this'll be it. However this is my first L shaped slot port box, so I need some help guys. I've searched and searched and did some more searching and I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I was thinking of putting up a wall in the 944 for that massive dmx12 stage 2 i just had some one tell me that if you make a wall in your car you can get pulled over because you cant see out the back window is this true? my other question is, is there a class in comps were u can use a single 12 and if so what is the avg DB that people hit at say 50-60hz and what is the world record with a single 12. Was thinking sub in the middle and 2 6 inch aero ports on the sides next to it. never done a wall but would like to give it a go and maybe get into some comps.

Anyone know a good website where i can get custom built to spec enclosures for cheap?
