  2. After what seems like forever, I finally got my box finished today, and got my BTL in my truck and hooked up. I've never heard bass like this before! This thing f***ing POUNDS! I've still not put in my upgraded alternator yet, but the T-1500 seems to be doing fine so far.

  3. Dads got a ford 2009 f250 super duty that has got the disc changer with sync system. He took it to the dealer and when he got it back the cd player was f***ed like they shoved a disc in there and it got stuck. Of course they said they did not do it. So i am going to try to install a new head unit do i have to wire the sync system back in with the expensive harness or is there a way to bypass that If you got any info or ideas on this please let me know i thought around $100 is high for a wiring harness Thanks Kevin

I'm looking to get terminal rings for when I do the big 3. Where do you guys find ones big enough to go over the battery terminal for 1/0 cable? Is it worth getting one of those fancy battery terminals that can accept two runs of wire? Where would be a good place to find those. This thread can also be used to post websites etc. of where you get your nuts bolts and goodies from. Thanks, Jeremy

I want to set up my new, (refurbished actually but it's new to me) Sundown SAZ-1000D right, so I need some legit test tones. First question: What tones do I need? I know I'm looking for a 50Hz tone to set the gain, but is that a "50Hz sine wave" or "50Hz mono-tone"? I've seen both, so I'm confused. Square waves? Sine waves? I have a very loose grasp on these things, but I think that a square wave=clipping and a sine wave shows the maximum gain setting before clipping... I'm so confused... What other tones do I need, if any? Second question: On that pinned thread on how to set your gains under amp/head units main section, it gives two links for tones to download, a…

Has anybody used the Cascade stuff from PE? http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=268-250 I am thinking about spraying the inside of my box with it. Just curious if it works well or if I should even use it? I would like to be 110% sure it is sealed and get rid of any resonances that might exist. What do you think?

I just ordered (2) FI SSD and I'm wondering how big I should go on the box. I want to get the most I can out of the subs. They will be powered by my sundown SAZ 2500d. The biggest dimensions I would like to go are: 44w x 36d x 25h. The 36d gives me about 7 inches from the hatch door. The FI website calls for 3-4 cubes a piece at 33 hz. How big do you think I should go? What tuning frequency? Any help is appreciated.

I would like to build a ported enclosure for a single 12. I'm ok with building it but I'm not to positive on figuring port displacement and tuning and I figured someone here could probably help. I want the box to be 2 cu ft after port and sub displacement tuned to 32-33 hz, double baffle, sub and port firing at the trunk. I want to have quite a bit of trunk space with the box and amp in there. I measured what space I'd like to utilize and came up with 16-17" tall(preferably 16) x 24-26" wide x 16-17" deep, is that big enough for size box I'm wanting? For anyone curious I plan to run either an icon or a ssd off my sae 1200. I'm going to use one of my Orion xtr pros until …

I'm putting in a new system 300 amp alternator 4x khc 2000 and yellow top under the hood on a IA 40.1 amp. The subs still thinking about what I should run with this amp any suggestions? I would like to keep the volts at 14.4 no lower than 14.1. Can some tell me how I can do this without have any voltage drop? Do I need to set up the system for 16v to keep the volts at a steady 14.1 or higher?

Is 12gauge speaker wire sufficient for running a saz-1500d to sa12s. I'll be running the amp at 1ohm. Speaker wire is about 4feet in length. If it can't handle that much power then can I just double it up and run two strands for each positive and another two for the negative.

Looking over my setup, now that it is out of my car, I have a question just because I want to recheck myself. My setup consists of (2) 12" D2 XCON's, (2) SAZ-1500D's Strapped, and 1400 Kinetik Batterey, along with the wiring and blah blah blah. Would I want a Series/Parallel wiring setup for this, or a Parallel/Parallel? Or does it even matter?

  24. This is the follow up to my last thread that got a bit jumbled and confusing. I decided it was the best plan to go active for my 1991 S10 single cab install as M5 suggested. I went ahead with the purchase of a Memphis X03 crossover, the Mli-65 mids, and the North D25 tweeters. I now have all the parts on hand and from the look and feel of everything I'm VERY happy with the components. The crossover though made in china is good and heavy, the only complaint I have on it is there are only 2 markins on each frequency knobs. The MLi-65 are SUPERBLY built, the grilles are very sturdy, the baskets are cast, the cones are thick pulp, and the surrounds are rubber. I really …
