I'm sure I will be hated for asking this but I have tried using the search bar to find this out but what is the big three everyone is talking about?

I have receantly been forced out of my 97 cobra, thanks to a drunk driver. I have found a box with .42 qubic feet per side, for 2 10's. what kind of recommendations can I get. I was running 2 12's hollywood speakers off of a bazooka amp I think it was 700w. but not turned up maybe 1/2 way. I have been told that your companies speakers are worth the money. I have yet to see another hollywood, hopefully yours will last as long. So looking at the above mentioned air space, which 10's, and what amp? price ranges might help. Thanks, chris

Could someone check and make sure this is right for me?: 39.5 x 21x 20.25 box (outer dimensions, i'm using .75" mdf) 4.5 x 19.5 port (10.57 in. diameter, if you need it) 24 inch port length i got just a little below 33 hz. I just don't want to find out it's wrong after i make the cuts and all. Thanks a lot

Hey guys. Im in the process of upgrading my system in a 2002 Ford expedition w/o the third row seat. I'm using Diamond audio d6 components in the front door speakers and d6 coaxials in the rear powered by a Diamond Audio d3 500.4, two diamond audio 15" d3's powered by a Mmat d2000.1, I listen to rap, r&b, techno/electronica, rock, kompa, and reggae, So I guess you can say I'm an sq guy. I Have everything connected to where its suppose to be connected RCA Outputs from HU to imputs on amp Pos battery to Pos amp Neg Baterry to Neg amp etc etc When i hooked everything up and set the HU to a song all i get is a FULL Burp on my subs. Like the amp is sending full 3000 Watts to it :/ I dont know why and its driving me crazzyyy what do you think is the problem?

I recently installed a Pioneer Premier 490iB in and 01 accord. The install kit had a wire for a dimmer (orange w/ white stripe) and an illumination wire (orange) the Pio HU only has an orange illumination wire. So I combined the two together and now my friends dimmable dash lights do not work. I have googled this to death, found a few topics with the same problem but none with an answer... So I went back in an just snipped the dimmer wire away from the illumination wires but the problem still remains. I really don't see how the dimmer is controlled through the headunit. I could have possible blew a fuse when I wired it like I did but I went through all the fuses I could …

I just ordered (2) FI SSD and I'm wondering how big I should go on the box. I want to get the most I can out of the subs. They will be powered by my sundown SAZ 2500d. The biggest dimensions I would like to go are: 44w x 36d x 25h. The 36d gives me about 7 inches from the hatch door. The FI website calls for 3-4 cubes a piece at 33 hz. How big do you think I should go? What tuning frequency? Any help is appreciated.

Goal is to have a SQ front stage. Plan is to have carbon mids on the doors. Tweeters will probably stick to my Bravox and add a few more. I dont want to leave my rear doors without any speakers so I will prob replace the factory and place a pair of carbon mids there. So far, I dont have plans on putting tweeters on the back doors yet. At first I wanted 8" drivers for midbass, but looks like the carbons will be able to do that job. Thats where I see them benefiting from the extra 50watts from the Leviathan. reading the hoffman's iron law sticky, and have some questions. low end extension, high efficiency, or small enclosure size i know you have to chose two. and im looking at: low end and small enclosure how does the tuning and port area affect this? does it mean i need more port and a higher tuning? also assuming more power will be needed?

I have a 2001 Chevy Astro with 2 18's and I am curious as to how to place the subwoofer box. I have subs up and Port back.... so my question is how far do I have the port end before it hits the loading wall? any and all answers will be greatly appreciated.

I have a deh-p590 ib with 4v preouts which are actually 2.2-2.3v. My gain was originally around 1/3rd on my sub amp set with a dmm at 3/4 volume with a 50hz 0db test tone. I hit the power cable on my amp and fried it. I replaced the amp with the same one and had to turn the gain to 2/3rds (around .75v mark on the amp) to get the same output voltage. I figured i screwed up my head unit, but didnt really think twice about it. Last fall i bought a pdx 4.100 and four new speakers... with the gain all the way up i could not get the correct output voltage using a test tone and dmm. I turned the sla to +4 and the gain settled around 3/4 up (just past .5v mark on amp). I just put…

Well, I have finally got a "newer" version of my dream car, a dodge charger. I have no real clue what to do when it comes to audio. I have pretty much always had Best Buy style stuff in my vehicles, last one being 2 RF P3's ported. I want something that will take as little room as possible and still get loud, lookin more at LSQ. I was thinking about doing maybe a 15 or 2 using an IB setup, but have never really seen a IB build and am not sure where to start. I do know that I have to sound deaden the entire trunk. Okay so I am building a budget system.... I have chosen to purchase one SA 12 sub. I need some advice on... 1. Purchasing a 2ohm or 4ohm sub? 2. What size box should I have my shop build for me? I am planning a blowthrough in my gmc truck and I have a question... What shoould I use to deaden the bed? Do I just use the damplifier pro or should I use something similar to spectrum to spray in the bed?

Looking on advice as to what to look at first for this issue.. Basically out of nowhere I have no sub output or midbass output. ED components on a nine.4 and ED sub on a nine.2.... Not sure why I'd lose midbass and sub output and yet the tweeters are fine... Any suggestions on where to start looking?

I just have a general question about current draw. I am seriously concidering jumping on the 2000d presale and was wondering if it puts out 300 amps max current draw at 1 ohm, what will the nominal and max draw be at 2 ohms. Is there a mathmatical formula I can plug numbers in? I plan on running 2 2000d's at 2 ohms each since i have 2 dual 4 12's. Thanks guys, I still love this forum.

ok i have my big 3 done with kicker hyper flex and a kinetik hc1400 in the back. i used to run a us amps md2d wired to 1.33 ohms and never had any problems at all with the lights dimming. now i have my precision power 850.1 running a sundown sa and i noticed when i was in town other night , that at higher volumes my lights blinked a little but nothing too major. i just thought this was weird because the md2d never caused this. i have 4 gauge ran to the amp.. i have the gain set a little over 1/4. its running at 1 ohm. ssf set to about 30 and lpf somewhere around 80. bass boost on the amp and head unit off. any suggestions on how to stop this besides gettin a new alterna…

I'm looking for a site that sells ring terminals and fuses for cheap. I know a lot of the popular sites do but I can't justify spending $10 for a ring terminal and $6 for a fuse just because they're gold plated or have some company name on them. I've been poking around and found a few but they mostly seem to have a lot of poor reviews and try to rape me on shipping.
