What is a normal tuning hertz? Im not sure what i should tune my box for? any suggestions for 1 12" sub.

Does anybody know how big a box should be for 2 18" Fi Bl's ?? Can someone please tell me some dimensions or measurements Thanks guys!

in time when money is abundant (thats right, i dont have money for wood) i will build a new box for my xxx. right now i dont like the way it sits in my car facing upward and you can barely see it because the box is so tall. so to remedy this i will have a more flat box with the sub inverted so there is no mounting depth and to give it more area and also to show off the sexyness of the sub and its entirety. al P.S. what should i tune it to, im thinking along the lines of 28, i want to show everyone a big sub isnt sloppy, maybe even lower.

I'm always so lucky. once I got a jbl 15wgti,a $600 sub, at a pawn shop for $70. they had it in a crappy box and didnt know what they had. Then a couple months ago I bought a soundstream tarantula tr880/2 for $300 in the box. now I have a soundstream splx 12. I've been to 3 comps and I never see ss in the lanes. Okay so here are my plans new enclosure for my rebuild. Below is a picture of the single icon 12 I currently have and it's enclosure which is 14x14x34... 2.4 cubic feet. , tunned at 29.5.. I plan on adding a second 12. And building a Aero ported enclosure ..and the box specs also shown in the link below.. Just wondered if anyone else has gotten any sweet old school amps, subs ect lately. I scored another kicker xs100 yesterday! (Third one ive owned) for a whopping $100. It still has all the terminal screws, couldnt believe it. Unfortunatly not a first gen like my other two were but i want to post pics and i cant! Aaarggghhh!

sorry for the lack of wisdom, but could somebody tell me what port noise sounds like? Because I just put my system in my car and unless i have the volume turned down to zero, my sub is constantly playing kinda loudly. Could this be how the amp settings are set?

I am in the market for a car alarm for my 94' Suburban before I put all the gear in it. I can vaguely recall that there used to be some of the alarm makers having wiring harnesses out that would plug into your existing vehicle harnesses so that it would cut out having to splice into all the different loc.'s for the alarm to function. I have done a little searching on the net so far and not really found what I'm looking for or what I thought was out there. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe they abandoned the idea. my question is these 15" juggernauts i came across are 1500 rms. i know these are competition speakers and they can handle alot so i was wondering if anybody knows or have seen what kind of amps or power they have pushed them, and how much wattage is needed for them to sound good? they are 1.4 ohm speakers so i dont know if it would be better to go with an 1ohm or 2ohm amp or amps?
