I read some of the former posts and it said that it's bad to use the bass boost on the amp. So is it best to leave the bass boost off on the amp but ok to turn up the bass on the beck instead? I set my amp myself today, I'm pretty good with doing it by ear. These audio shops around here are either shady or stupid. One of the turned the bass boost up on my amp alot and turned the gain down lol. It didn't sound right to me, so I went to another place and he said it was bad to use the bass boost on the amp and re-adjusted it for me. These are what I am currently debating to put in a Dodge Charger SRT. It will be made into a show car, so the way it sounds is very important. but it is not meant mearly for competitions. All of them will be set up nicely with plexiglass and such, much like what can be seen magazines like Performance Sound and Auto.

I am doing an engine conversion, and the altenator on the engine is rated at 50 amps. I am looking into a 100-150 amp altenator, yellow or red top, and the big 3. I am running 1000wrms.

ive given up trying to fit my 18btl into my 86 monte. i would either have to fire into the trunk(eww) or lose all of my trunk. so im thinking about switching to 2 ssd 15's which will let me keep about 8 cubes of trunk space. the ssd's should be better for sq but still get down and play hard. i was going to feed the fair a clean 2000 watts at 1 ohm. should i get them loaded or just leave them stock. if i get them loaded can they take more power. (daily)

Sup all. Random question that i should know the answer to but whatever lol. Is having a high amount of watts with your sub and amp always a good thing or if your going for something purely strong and heavy? or if you want quality will you find it with something that has less watts? and if neither then im officially confused lol.

I just got a 05 explorer and i want to put a new system in it. I have a good budget but nothing to crazy. I have 2 Re Audio SX 12in Subs that are going in there and My Kenwood head unit. Besides that i sold everything. I am willing to sell my JL amps ( 2- 500/1 and a 300/4). I would like about 750rms going to each sub. I liked my cdt audio components i used to have but i don't know which ones would be best for the money or to get a different brand... i am open to all ideas. I was wanting to put 2 sets of 6.5's and a extra set of 5.25 or 4.5's in the front ,but its just an thought. What do you think????

Hi everyone I am looking for some suggestions on a good 3 stage battery charger to charge my 4 deka group 24 AGM batteries that is good for both agm & standard flooded batteries my budget is around $100.00. Desulphation a feature I would like to have. Some of the chargers I have been looking at are the Deltran Battery tender plus , Battery minder 2012 agm, NOCO Genius 7200. Those are just a few in my price range I am not looking for the best charger but one that will be safe for my agm batteries that will maintain, fully charge & keep them in top condition. ok so i traded my friend the orions, i got from nccj, for these pioneer subs i got from bb a while back(basiclly i sold him those too and got them back) and he gave me 50bux(in change ) but anyway, i have my PA 3000db, calculated a lil bit, and came up wt these numbers ohms watts gain 8 200 4 1100 900 2 1800 700 1 2300 500 0.5 2550 250 Now the subs are rated at 150rms per sub, so 300total. So i have them in series and thier both 4ohms so it should be 8ohms total. I'm scared to turn them up loud because i dont want to blow them cuz im gonna giv them to my g/f once my subs come in. I was refered to the board from the mwsr msg. board hope some one can help me out heres the deal puttin the touch screen in the lincoln, got the parking break wire grounded and the vidio is working fine...BUT i aint gettin any sound when the car is started, but I do when it is on acc. keep following me though.... there is a red (it is hot) wire that was grounded to the back of the fac. radio and if I ground and then release this wire while the car is on I get my sound back..... aint never mesed with somthin like this....DO I NEED TO GROUND THIS WIRE?? OK this is what I have, 1-12" single 4ohm PG Xmax sub PWR 400 wavelength amp-600wrms @ 4ohms and clarion x-over pioneer deck box is 2.5cuft tuned to 30hz, with-in specs of what PG suggests. gains are set correct. This is what happens, I play a song like, Late night tip or some lil john, songs that I think hit pretty low, and SHIP does it get loud and low, but as soon as I put on anything that has hard bass, it doesn't get near as loud I mean nothing, nothing short of cranking it and adding bass boost will help, but this isn't what I want to have to do. so im back, still trying to understand this whole audio thing lol. havnt had much time to look into it but i had an ohm question i thought i might be able to get a easy to understand answer of... basicly from what ive been reading and such, unless im mistaken which is why im asking here, a 1 ohm amp goes to a 2 ohm sub and a 2 ohm amp will go to a 4 ohm sub? and is there some sort of converter that allows you to go 1 ohm to converter to a 4 ohm sub? or have i just confused everyone and should keep reading lol?
