Are they ok to use as a primary and secondary??? I can get a great deal on 2 blue top Optima Battery's. I want to use one under the hood (for the truck), and a second one inside (for the system).

So Ive been thinking about it and seems like it would be fun. I know nothing about running in comps and would like a little info on how. I know there is a ton of different classes to be in but I dont have a clue about them. Do they go by how much power you run, how many and how big your subs are, or if you have a wall or somethin? I always see these posts about going to shows and you guys make it sound fun. Id appreciate it if I could get a little rundown on what might be best for me with the stuff in my sig. so upcoming in march, i have a build scheduled. my brother will be helping me with the carpentry aspects, i am doing rest of install from what i gathered in the other thread before it was closed, is that my buddy should go with a BL 18 for his 66' impala. already planning on double mids and highs, mids are most likely gonna be mach5 mli's, and tweets are undecided. who is running a BL18? what specs are the box, tuning, volume, etc. any help would be appreciated. i would like to keep this topic on a positive note, no dissing or putting down, i am sure denim is tired of closing threads.

why does box bracing make the box quite?

Im having an issue with my mids and highs cutting out when turned up to higher volumes. I dont know if its a problem with the install or a problem with the equipment it self. But I do know that it should be able to be louder than what it is without cutting out. I got Rockford t2s and a Rockford t400.4 any advice?

I have a sundown 1500d and stock electrical right now ... and it probably wont change to much im looking into getting into bassracing ... ive heard a little about it but i want some information on it ... possible box/woofers/etc. i have a focus hatchback so i know its capable of hitting solid numbers with the vehicle... i really have a budget for woofer and box .... around 400 dollars ... if you could alittle help would greatly apprieicated, thank you fellas

k, i was thinking... i have a Re Audio SX Dual 2... can i run a sundown audio 1000d to each voice coil. so it would be one 1000d going to one and then another 1000d going to the other. someone let me know

I can get a Fi SSD 12" or a IA Lethal Injection 15" for about the same price. Which one would you recommend for a small sealed box with 1100x1 @ 2ohms which is what my boston gt28 amp puts out. ???

Hello, I recently received a 12" btl. I put it in a well built box (I have pics in the build log section), on a Sundown saz 1500 amplifier. I had a weird noise coming from the speaker at my max volume. Even if I did not change any settings from my previous setup (I had an xcon 15" on it with NO problem), it seems that my gain was too high. I turn it down and everything is good now ! But I want to find good sounding test tones to set the gain right on the amp. Can somebody show me where to find some ? I think in the 50 to 60 hz range. I set the gain by ears, and I will try to see what I can do with a DMM for that. Thanks in advance.

There is a bunch on eBay for under $10. They seem very cheap looking and I am not sure where I would go about mounting them. What meters are recommended for update speed, accuracy and still maintain a sleek appearance?

Ok, well i just finished installing my btl and i decided to just drill holes in the box to run wires through to my amp and i used silicone to fill in the holes, so my question is how long should i let it set up before i decide to turn it up safely to tune it with out blowing a hole through the silicone? btw for what it matters i live in middle ga. so its really humid all the time plus its been raining last two days, ive heard that will play a factor in its cure time?

I was wondering if anyone knew who if anyone made a recone kit for the JL 12w3. I think its probably a v1 or v2 but its dvc. the cone has come separated from the surround lol. And one of my employees wants to make a frankenstein so i figured i'd see if anyone knew of a recone kit for it. thnx

I bought all of Johnathan Prices' old component sets for a real good price, a few of the crossovers were….. well shitty and unusable. But I am MORE than ok with that. My question is, could I run 2 mids & 2 tweets off one crossover? I wired up a 2 mids & 2 tweets to a crossover to check the ohm load at the “input” space and it was at 3.44ohm. If not then I’ll just run the tweets off radio and mids off 100.4 till I find a cheap 50.4.

By buddy keeps saying that before aq sold there name the sub was 1100. I never have heard of this. And he swears they was. So if this is true how much would my 18 be then?

i have a wierd problem i just installed o ga wire under the hood for the big 3 and now i have a really bad ground problem like i hear when i hit the brake pedal even the turning signal and cant understand it. i grounded it to the frame and vehicles factory location also sanded them to bare metal... and just the other day now if i turn it up to a certain volume it sounds like the woofer flop or play out of tune thats why i was thinking it might be the rca's any help appreciated.... i run 2 12'' q's on a everest soundlabs prototype amp box is 5 cuft and tuned to 30hz

So a friend told me about line drivers and i was wondering should i be using one? is the advantage they offer that great? and why would i need one? like if i run a dmm over my rca and they are getting around 1volt should i be using a line driver to help out my rca so i don't have to turn my gains so high? also do i need one for all my rca's (fronts, rears, subs?). also do yo use one?
