So i have a friend that shows me Prefab bandpass boxes and i keep telling him not to waist his money and build it himself or find someone who knows what they are doing (he only has 2 p2s i think at the moment). I don't know much about Rockford subs or what the box specs are let alone for 4 of them. He also doesn't get what i mean by prefabs being cheap and not having the right tune. He think i mean tuning his head unit or amp. So basically what is the proper tune for a ported box for four P3D4-12s so i can tell him to find someone and just tell them you want a ported box tuned to -blank- for four p3's to fit what ever his trunk size is. Hello everyone, I am designing my own box and was hoping someone could review it. Goal was no smaller than 4 cu ft. Its an 18" Treo SSX rebuilt by PSI. Treo recommended 50cu in. of port, BUT i told them I was using aero ports and they still recommended the same..? I was always under the impression they didnt need as much port? This design is 1x 8" port = 50 cu in. I can't figure out another configuration to hit 40 cu in, if 50 is to much. Tuned to about 35hz. (see attached) Any help is appreciated Sketchup for box.skp

Picked up a TC sounds 12" i know it has the 3hp motor and is a D4 im gunna be running it off of me bb2400 at 2ohm so 1700rms to it. but i am kinda mixed on a box...i see so many differant designs. Lports, Areo ports, Bandpass's, Tlines....i dont know which is the right way to go and be the loudest by retaing some nice sound quality but being able to get LOW. i listen to alot of chopped and screwed stuff, honestly i like numbers but am not worried about them anymore id like it be a nice single 12 demo.....something that will get low and just make people be like DAMN thats one 12. any help or ideas everyone? 35"W id like it to go across the whole trunk looks better imo-20"D…

hi, I'm using the online port calculator at RE Audio to calculate the port dimensions. However, if i want to use two subs in a shared air space, how do i calculate the port dimensions for a shared port on the two subs? or it does not matter since the port dimensions will depend on the box volume only.

Has anyone ever done any business with this site? They seem to have really good prices, and i'm looking to buy a h/u from them.

How do you like those CV subs you are using, those fit nicely into the cheap 10 im looking to get for my friend. He has 130watts rms and a 1cuft sealed box.

my good friend has a 02 volvo s60... and he called me stating that he blew his door speakers... and from what i can find... the front doors only have tweeters... and in the back doors it has 6.5s and the back deck holds 6.35's so my question is... anyone been balls deep in these front doors?

So I moved into my dorms for college today, I figured I should check out the town and look for any audio shops. I found one that used to carry RE products, but now mainly KIcker and Memphis it looks like. Anyway, I looked around the shop and found an RE 12 RE series, and a Coustic 321qe. I managed to get both of them for 230, Both BNIB. Anybody, think I got ripped off or was this a great find? Also, the gain knob of the front channel seems to be stuck, any ways to fix this? I am wondering if any one knows any company that sponsors people running car audio and doing competitions. I am currently running a sundown x12 rev 1 1250 rms d2 in a custom built box tuned to 32.5 Hz. Powering the sundown is a cadence ia9-hc 2000 Watt rms amp. Thats just the bass right now. Other upgrades are there just don't want to go on and on unless someone is interested.

System consists of 2 US Amps MD3D's, 2 AQ HD3's and a Kenwood KDC-X891. Alright I will be playing my system bumping it hard and all of a sudden my bass will cut out. I do not think it is the HU because the mids and highs continue to work. The bass will come back on when I turn the volume down or if I leave it playing for a few seconds. I do have electrical upgrades: 220A alt, 1100A batt under the hood, big 3 done, and 3 Deka Intimidator 9A31's in the back. Why is my bass cutting out. FYI the HU does have a ground problem meaning that when I play a CD I have turn on noise and a thump when changing tracks, none of these noises occur when I listen to the radio or my USB sour…

i have a 97 expedition and i have a 18'' btl fully loaded dual 2ohm that i will be running between 2.5k to 3k on,and i was wondering what kind of electrical upgrade you guys would recommend?

Alright considering pickin up another sundown 3000, and it got me thinking of bigger subs. Anyways, how does subs up port back work in a trunk car? I have 2 15s now, and considering 2 18s, but the subs would have to be facing up for this to work.

Just put in an order for the Boston GTA-1000M amp (not from SSA though ). This will be wired to two Dayton RSS265HO subs. I picked up two of those bnib for $110 shipped! For speakers, I will be using the Aura 6.5" comps and for power will be Aura RPM2150, both bought from parts express on their blowout sale. All I need is a deck and some wiring and I am good to go. I will start this build in May sometime when I get home from school. All this will be going in my chevy S-10 extended cab. No SSA equipment in this build, but I had deals on all this I just couldn't pass up!!

Hello all, I am wiring up two 1ohm DVC 12" subwoofers. I am putting both subwoofers in a sealed box, each of them has their own compartment and terminal. I am running a Sundown SAZ-1500D and want to wire it at 1ohm so I get ~750 to each sub. I want to double check to make sure the sub is wired correctly. I found the following diagram. Two 1ohm DVC Wiring Following the diagram, I ran one piece of wire from one positive to the negative on the other side of the sub. I then connect the terminal wires to the other neg/pos on the subs. What's up all, Here's my situation that's kind of annoying. Randomly as Im driving listening to my system which consists of: Head.: Pioneer 7800MP Front: CDT HD-62/DRT26s/EX-560i F.Amp: Arc Audio 2100 CXL Subw.: Ascendant Audio 10" Assassin S.Amp: US Amps XT-800.2 My highs will just cutout. However, they'll come back on if I turn the volume up. The arc 2100 was bought used from ebay, and im thinking that's my culprit. Not too sure. What do you think?

I was offered a box that holds two 12"s but I don't know the dimensions of the box (it was in an 88 Camaro) ........ I was wondering what would be a cheap way for me to get by with some good sounds........... I'm running an eclipse 7100 in an active setup. It annoys the chit out of me that amongst all these expensive hu's every one of them is a compromise. My 7100 is great, but the ipod interface and the track display leave alot to be desired. Before I went active I wandered into a local shop hoping to have a look at the display on a 7200 to determine how big a deal the sun washout is. They didn't have one and when he called his guy on it and asked about it he did a double take and made sure it wasn't a touch screen($$$).
