blast it all. i saw my voltage was at 11.3v with the car off and that wasnt normal. when i went to start the car, it dipped to like 7 and im like whoa crap. for some reason the car started and it was even lower at 10.3 sometimes dipping to 9.8. i was all freaked out and my dad looked it over and come to the conclusion my alt wasnt charging. hmmm maybe this is a sign i should use my 250a i have lyin around in my closet lol

I may have been sleeping, but I don't recall seeing them before. http://rcamobile.com/ Appears RCA has come out with a line of 12V mobile products. I'm kind of intrigued. Their other products are geared more towards the affordable end of the price spectrum and are of reasonable build quality. If these follow suit, I would expect atleast the electronics to be a decent alternative for the budget minded individual.

looking for other monitors similar to this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824179015 i had that one, sold it...like an idiot...basically i was gonna do a carPC, and that monitor has a 12v power supply, so it'd be easier to wire up in a car (with a dc-dc regulator im guessing?) than getting one with an AC power supply and using a power inverter (what i dont want to do, noise/interference, etc.) are there any other brands that have 12v DC power supplies, around the 15-17" range (wide screen preferably, but if not, 4:3 will have to do) heres a test fit of it in my dash, as you can see, 16:9 would look better, but i could make this one look decent...

Is there any way to find out online the results of an IASCA metering that was done last week at the spring fling carshow? I competed on Sat, but have to leave (**** work), and I never found out where I placed. As of Sat. I was in 1st with a 143.5 in SPL single 15". I looked on the site, but I couldn't find anything other than last years final results. I could be looking in the wrong place though since i'm not to familiar with the site. Thx guys, Vic.

Here is the planned system. 1995 s-10 blazer is the ride. High output alt (200-300 amp output). Yellow top optima up front. Two, for now, Kinetik khc2400 batteries in back. Four MA Audio hk802sx amplifiers. Two channel high current amps rated at 4400 watts RMS x1 @1ohm. We are guessing with full power behind them they will put out about 3500 watts each. Four FI Audio BL 15s. My question is this. Should a guy run two or four runs of 0 gauge wire to the back? Please explain why you say which one. I think two will work as the two of them can transfer around 600 amps through thier 13-14 foot lengths and that is about all that is available from the alt and battery…

I have 2 12" 2xl's and a Powerbass XA-1500d in a sealed enclosure ( getting a bigger box i think its 2 small). Its sounds pretty damn good overall clean tight bass. I had a slight issue with the bass boost being as high as the gain (at half) and the amp going into protect but other than that no issues and everthing sounds good. As soon as I get my other box I'll post a vid.

  15. Ok, so as stated in the title these are my thoughts and OPINIONS on using a plate amp to power a subwoofer setup in a house and going active in a home environment. This was wrote in a short time period late a night so deal with any rambling that I did and please correct me where you see fit. I would like ya'lls opinion on this article and what needs to be changed, etc, etc. KEEP IN MIND THESE ARE ALL MY OPINIONS, NOT FACT. Thinking of using a big badass rack amp to drive your subs in your house? Thinking of going active in your home setup? If so, you may want to read this

So I was looking to built a nice comp/sq. system in my Jeep cherokee couple of FI-audio 18Q/15Q. So far I've got the alarm, yellow top optima, and two sets of MB Quart qsd-216's. However I have seemed to blow my older mid amp; A mtx 4320 thunder, you know the red & black ones. can't figure out how it happened, but need either to get it fixed or just consider getting a new one. Hence my problem, my bud had originally planned to go with soundstream PCA2000D, bu the found and oldschool US amps DE1000, on ebay.... I bought it, then researched the model. I found an older topic on this forum concerning this very seller, "Chassis" and promply responed as to how I'm not …

Scored these monsters for $200. They need some work because they were banged up in a move, but after some new cloth skirts, wood work, and paint these bad boys will be rockin. I'm sure they'll also need a wire rebuild kit from Magnepan, but from what I have read that is only about $50. It's going to take a while to get used to a pair of 60" tall speakers in the living room. The "IMP" on the rear plates designate these as an "Improved" version of the MG-1's. I hear if you use subwoofers in a dipole setup with magneplanars it is next to Godliness, so I'm doing the research on different dipole setups right now and trying to decide which one to use. I'm thinking black wood f…

Since we have had a ever changing rep for PB and only short flurries of posting in here, and still no link or recigntion from the home site the Powerbass forum is in danger of staying. I am not going to delete any topics or posts, but I cannot support a company if they are not going to support their forum. So if members here want to keep the PowerBass forum up, and I know there are a good handful of die hard PB people, then someone needs to get a hold of a new representative from PB to moderate this forum. I am not going to keep doing it and 3 months later that rep is gone. Find a PB rep and I will keep the forum up!

Okay, my buddy wants to put some stuff in his boat and I really have no idea here. I'm looking for some help. MY best guess would be to treat it like a convertible automobile which means high efficiency and loads of power. Now, this has to be rather budget friendly. He has a Sony HU, all I need is some subbass and some CHEAP drivers to handle the rest of it. I will probably go with a line array of some sort running horizontally throughout the boat. Now, amplifiers is my biggest concern. Being a wet environment, I am wary about this. I know there are marine specific components, but browsing through some, they appear to be nothing more than a traditional component pa…
