Hey guys i think I'm in the right area of the forum to post this but if I'm not, my bad. I bought two Fi BL 15s fully loaded with the daily option a few months back. Originally I was going to buy a Sundown or Cresendo amp but money is tight so I've been looking into the Hifonics BE 2500.1. I know they have a bad name, but I currently own an older series Hifonics BXi 2008d and honestly love the amp. Don't get me wrong I've had it repaired about 4 times but all due to inefficient power supply. The new series is CEA compliant and Steve Meade proved they do put out the power advertised. I have a JL 450/4 that was quite a good amp, but the other day two channels burned up and now only two work. I'm not sure if I should run with this amp again or try something different and possibly better. I was thinking of putting in a single FI Q 12" in a ported box with a Sundown SAE-1000D. I've never used their amps before, but they seem to be well respected. My setup currently is as follows: HU: Alpine IVA-W200 Front: Focal Utopia 6.5" (older model) Rear: Focal 690 CA1 (6x9) I looked at the Sundown 100.4, but I'm not so sure the output will be enough. Installed all of my wiring today, and I had a bit of a problem. I have the gain at about 1/4 until tomorrow, when I'll set it properly. The sub is getting power, I know that for a fact. When music is playing, I can hear a slight murmur of the beat. The bass remote to my AQ2200D constantly displays the red "clipping" light, but I find it odd that the "power" light is not lit up. I'm almost certain from viewing similar problems that the responses I will get are, "quadruple check your wiring!!", but I did that before it all was installed. Which would be the better route to go to power a 15" fully loaded Fi BTL, 2 powerbass ASA 1500.1Dx amps (i already have one) or one Hifonics Brutus BRZ2400.1D? does anyone know if powerbass actually puts out rated power? i heard that the brutus is under rated

Well sold my synergy 35.1 so i can go more power for my freshie dc level 6 18. Really wanting to look into the synergy 7.1 to match my 4.150x... has anyone had good or bad luck with these, the 7.1 or something similar in power and price? 7500x1 at 1 ohm for $1599. Ive wathed the dyno runs and watched youtube vids of the amp but not talked to anyone firsthand.

I've got a used SSA DCON 10" and alpine mrp-m350 amp. The amp is hooked up to a line out conerter tapped into my rear speakers with the amp recieving power. The sub is wired in parallel and is a dvc 4ohm sub so the amp's output is going to be 2ohms. I've got both sub terminals, negative to negative and positive to positive. The wire connecting the box is connected to ONE terminal...that is correct right? I've checked all the wires again and again yet can't get the sub to do anything. I changed grounds to no avail. I bought a used sub off a member on caraudio.com (lil98cabrio) and am starting to think it's blown, but don't have another sub to test. Is there a way to test…

Hi guys have a question im looking at buying a car audio battery for my system and i was told i need one that does 100 amps per hour. And i was wondering if anyone could list me some good brands out there for under 200 that puts out 100 amps per hour and tell me what is amps per hour.

Sup guys! I was wondering/ asking myself.. On birtsheets from Rockford Fosgate or Kicker, etc amps, why do diferent wattage ratings come up on birthseets? If a zx2500.1 is built the same as the next zx2500.1 built why would one say I.E 2,753 vs the second amp that says 2,945? If they both consist of the same parts and what not, why would power variate instead of being similar? Thanks for the input

Ok guys, I've had a amp now for a few weeks pushing an 18" AA Chaos Sub. The Amp says its 4000 watts but I'm pretty sure it's only pushing about 1000 watts at 2OHMS. It's a no name amp i got from a friend brand new for free, so I figure why not. I've been slamming it hard, but all of a sudden it shut off on me. The name and model Audio Tek AT-4000 The Fuses are all still good, but for the hell of it I put 3x 40amp fuses in that were brand new. No sound still. I unplugged and reconnected all the cables, no sound still. I did a simple shut the car off and on , no sound. I check my Power Fuse Going to the battery, it's good , still no sound. Last night when hooking up a friends system, after getting everything hooked up, the subs just didn't hit. The amp light turns on but nothing is happening.. Tried testing a different sub using different speaker wire but still nothing. What could be the problem?

Hey guys im new to the forum and just have a few questions i need help getting answered. I have 2 fi ssd 10s 2ohm dvc and i have about 220 dollars to spend on an amp. Im pretty much looking for a used amp. What amps could i find that will put out around 1200 to 1600 watts used for around 200 to 220? But if im mostly looking for a 1600 watt amp for around that price Also what are the best places to buy a cheap wiring kit that will handle that power? hey everyone i am in the market for a new amp. i currently have a us amps xt1600.2 powering my ssa icon 12'' and i am ready to upgrade to something that will do closer to 1000 rms at 1 ohm. i am looking at audiopipes (cant go wrong for the price...i have heard mostly good things about them) and cant decide between the ap1000d or ap1500d. it would be nice to have the extra 500 watts of the ap1500d but i am on stock electrical except the big 3 at the moment. my question is can i just run the ap1500d at the voltage for 1000 rms at 1 ohm temporarily until i get an external battery and what not? or will it still pull more power from the electrical system regardless if it…

I plan to build a floating amp rack in trunk of my car and was wondering what the best material to use for the construction. I was thinking 3/4" boxed tubing but I'm not a structural engineer or anything, so i would appreciate the input on the matter.

im currently at a stand still with my build. i fabbed up a amp rack last night, but it just doesnt look as clean as i was wanting it. if there is anybody that can possibly show me some pictures of their amp racks, it would be greatly appreciated. im looking for more sleek clean finish. Got my amp and sub hooked up, started bumping some music then it cut off. I went back to check out what was going and and saw that a razor blade had fallen across the speaker terminals on the amp. Now the amp wont power up.

I plan on running a obsidian 12 or 15 in my 94 grand prix 2dr. I have a box meant for 2 12s, 5cuf gross 3.75 net. I can either put the 12 in there. or plug both wholes and cut a hole for the 15 on top. either way the box is temp. anyways I need suggestion on a amp for it. don't want to spend anymore then $200. i don't buy used and i don't buy off of fourms. i don't have a paypal and don't want a paypal.

I worked this past weekend. Drove to the track and parked my car on friday afternoon. I went to leave tonight and when I would turn up volume to my normal listening level the red light would come on and my sub would not work. When I parked my car on friday everything was working correctly. Any thoughts why this would happen? We did get some pretty hard rains but I have had no issues with this previously. I have been running this set up since january. I have not had the chance to check voltages yet but any direction to why the sudden change. My current battery is just the standard car battery I purchased from sears in december. Just confused.

With the sale on Flatline amplifiers, it's hard not to resist asking if upgrading is worth it... I currently have a Soundqubed 1200.1 powering my SSA Icon 15 d2 in a sealed 2.6 ft^3 box. Will there be any noticeable difference in loudness? Will this amp provide enough headroom in case I purchase another Icon 15 in the future? Any information would be helpful since there isn't much data on these amps. Thank you

I have a 15 Fi Bl fully loaded. I have a Kicker ZX1500.1 amp to power it and 4 gauge stinger wire w/ 150amp in-line fuse. Several weeks ago i was bumpin around town, and my sub quit. I sent it in to Fi and they fixed it for me. (they never said, b/c they covered it under warranty, but i think they just reconed it) so i put it back in and have everything hooked up, but now when i turn the volume up to where i like it, it just doesn't do anything. a few notches down and it does fine, i would like to run it at 28, but it will only go on 25.
