Had m bud Regal1975 stop over yesterday and try out the Linear X. He has 2 Kicker 10" L7's with 1100 RMS on each one. He has them in a small Nissan truck with the rear glass removed and the subs right there. 2 subs on the pass side and the port on the right. Ended up doing a 144.7 on the dash. All he could say was Evil X

going to be doing an install in the gf's 05 grand am and she wants to go pretty big. 2000-4000 watts for the subs and a 500> on the highs. i know the stock 105 amp alt isnt going to be good enough for all this. what are some of the things i need to look for when shoping around. any help would be a great help as i hope to start piecing stuff together soon.....

Anyone have any eperience with these? I want a cheap DVD player/monitor for my son in my car, but I don't want something that's going to crap out in a few weeks. Sonic has what appears to be a decent one for $150.

I'm planning a build of 1 Fi BTL N2 18s off of two Crescendo BC3500s walled off in my truck, and I'm using the Torres Speaker Box Tuning Calculator. I'm wondering exactly what the "# of Common Port Walls" option means. I understand that it refers to how many sides of the box are going to act as sides of the port, but I don't know why the back of the box isn't considered a side of the box. I have about 52" of width to work with, so I'm looking for the port to be 50.5 inches wide, so it would span across the entire top of the box. hey whats up i have a 94 ford econoline van, i was hit ting 138.3 in it, and i had 3 12" kicker solo barics, with a kicker 1500.1 amp that was ran to 2.6 ohms so i was gettin about 1000 out of it, i just recentyl installed 4 15" solo's and a 2000 watt sundown that will b ran to .5 ohms, with a 13.3 cubic fot box, im also installing a second battery, how much do u think i wil gain

If I were to use the Flanged ports that PartsExpress sells, since i have never used these type of ports before, is it necessary to brace the port inside the box to prevent vibration of the port? I understand that things are almost always "build, test, tear down, build, test; nothing works the same for everyone," but I'm wondering what others' experiences are with sub and port placement/alignment in a small Suv? 1) Would it be better to have the port rear firing into the hatch; or have the port firing up, parallel to and right up against the hatch? Assuming both enclosures take up the entire cargo area just under the window line and same external dimensions. Ok guys i need major help on a box design i am getting a SSA Xcon 15 and i am going to need to fit it into a single cab truck i talked to Aaron and he said the mounting depth of the sub is 8 and 3 4ths deep and my seats move separately so i can build a custom box. what do you guys think i should do. just push the passenger seat up a bit and run a box all the way across at a different depth so my seat could stay where it is what do you guys think i need some ideas please.
