Equipment Specs: Woofer: Fi Bl 15 Amp: Hifonics 1500.1d Mono Box: Roughly 3.1 cubic feet tuned to 32 Hz Here is my question, Currently i have my subwoofer firing up and my port facing the rear of my car. If i was to put my box as close to the back seats as possible, would i be able to seal off the subwoofer/box from the rest of my trunk? I have a 2010 malibu if that helps at all. I would be having the port face the front of the car obviously, but i wanted to know if i would be able to do this and notice any difference in SPL? In my trunk, if i pushed the box as close as i can get to the rear seat, i would have probably have a foot and a half to two feet of open space be…

Okay, i basically have 2 questions here. The first question is about my factory stereo and connecting an amp in a 2008 Honda Accord. I'm not sure but i'm hoping someone on these forums know if i can connect the amp directly to the stereo itself, or will i need a product such as JL Audio CleanSweep adapter to connect the amp to and then run that to the back of the deck? I know it would be easier to get a whole new deck but that isnt an option right now. My second question is that this car does not come in with an ipod input! it does come with an auxiliary input but i would like to control the ipod straight from the dash and not hassle around with the ipod. Does anyone kno…

How do you estimate an items worth when you don't have anything to compare it to? I don't know what it cost new back then; I don't really know what it would have been worth when i got it (kinda a gift/trade type deal). I can't find any "red apples to red apples" comparisons (ebay, etc...); so I don't know what I could sell it for. Any ideas? It's a old Q-Logic box... ...with two oldschool 10-inch RF Punch's (not sure of the version or impedence). I used that setup in a certain vehicle because I don't drive it that much (in winter, I hardly drive it); and, I needed room to but more stuff in it (tool bag, cleaning accessories kit, "junk drawer" bag, spar parts, and other …

I've recently acquired a 96 LS400. After reading about how the wiring of this particular model I feel like I could easily tap into the Factory Headunit signals and run the wiring needed to power and signal to my trusty Sax.100.4. The plan so far is to keep the factory headunit, upgrade the subwoofer, eventually upgrade the front components, use the 4 channel to power the sub and front speakers and use the factory amp to power the rear door speakers that can be faded off if necessary. I'm not sure what to do about the sub section. This model has a 8" sub mounted in the rear deck, powered by a 30ish watt amplifier. I would like more bass than this factory setup can …

Hello I was hoping someone could give some insight on two box designs I'm trying to build for a friend. The box will be for 2 10 inch skar ddx. We want to go for 1.75 cubic feet per sub so 3.5 net total. His dimensions are 39" wide 15" deep and 17" tall. Wanting a higher tune 39hz. https://s1126.photobucket.com/user/Ceeze90/library?page=1

I haven't posted on here in awhile, so figured I would give a quick review of my newly installed setup. Vehicle is a 2003 S-10 extended cab. Decided to switch to Kenwood with this install and running a DNX6980 receiver. Front stage consists of a Focal Access three way setup with the midbass in the stock door location and the mids and tweets in the dash. Running this off of a Boss Havoc that I purchased from the group buy on here two years ago. For now I am just running them off two channels, and using the other two channels to power my pair of 12" DCON's. This amp powers everything quite well, even the DCON's have a nice kick to them with the lower power they are currentl…

Okay, so i am wanting to build a box for my two Sa-12s. The width of the box is 40" The height is 13" The depth is 16" The total box volume without subwoofer displacement or port displacement is 3.709. Im trying to get a frequency of 35hz. I want to go with an aero port but im not really sure what would be a good size? I did the online calculators and for a 6" aero it would need to be about 12" long. My only concern is if this is going to be enough port area for two Sa-12s? If its not what could i do to get a good port area for theses subs?

I plan on gettin either a Stetsom 11K2D or a Stetsom 14K2D. I was going to buy about four or five kinetik 2400's but I seen this battery. Is this ONE battery "Strong Enough" to power a Stetsom 11K2D or 14K2D all day everyday? Battery http://www.batcap.net/Products/BatCapProdu...91/Default.aspx

Everyone has their own way of doing stuff and I'm sure you guys all have some little tricks you use whether it be for installing, building, tuning, etc. Would be kinda cool just to see what everyone does. I'll start....when something is rattling but I can't tell from where, I plug my nose and keep my mouth shut, then I try to exhale. It cuts out all of the bass and you can clearly hear things rattling. The same thing happens when you plug your nose while you sneeze, or if you yawn.

Hello. New member, my first post. Looking to replace my current system with something better. I currently have 2 x 12 L7s, 1 x kx1600.1 and l2ci. The car is bmw m4, 2018. I've been looking at getting 2 x 12" icons. Need suggestions on the type of box and amp that would work best. I'm looking for sound quality but also loudness. I don't have much trunk space. Right now, i'm using a sealed box up to kicker specifications with polyfill. Current system is loud and works well but lacks quality. I would prefer a sealed box. Kicker subs only play low tones and need something that plays slightly higher (100hz-250hz or so). The stock system sounds really …

Will a pair of 15" FI BL's with the cooling and flatwind option surive being pushed by a SAZ-3000D? The subs will be loaded in my old sub box wich is 4.5 cu ft per chamber tuned to 35hz. Or maybe I should look into the btl's?

My buddy wants to know how he can wall his ford ranger with 15s He has a 2003 Ford Ranger Ext Cab 4x4 lifted 5" and 33" Nitto Terra Grapplers. He already took out his rear seats and stuff and has a custom box tuned to 36hz with a 12" Fi Q on a SAE 1000. He's ready to upgrade.. He just wants an idea. Hes budget-minded so nothing too expensive I suggested 4 SA 15s on two SAZ 1500. Or one SAZ 3000. He hasn't upgraded his alternator but he has done the big 3 and has 2 kinetik HC 2400s with 1/0 kicker wiring on everything. His question is what's a good budget wall for his truck. Let's say budget at $5000. Thanks !

Does anybody else run their mids and highs with their head unit? I would get a separate amp but I'd need to upgrade my electrical beforehand. I have re 6x9s in the back and stock in the front and its really not loud at all....to be honest the stock Charger SXT head unit sounded great but since I switched it the panasonic head unit its really not as audibly sound.

Just a ? I had on my mine at work....not like I'm going to do it but in the future I might...."how would you run multiple amps for subs like 6 subs , 6 amps." With out using y split...would you just keep linking the amps or is the something that you can buy and send a signal to that and the other side will send out multiple signals on the other side....I think I just answer my own question....newbie remember that
