I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Planet Audio, in particular the Big Bang line of amps. I've heard mixed opinions but for some reason the aesthetic's intrigue me. also.... I'm gonna be adding an additional battery to two different installs with similar power requirements and I wanted to know if anyone knew of a good isolator for a decent price (hence my username) thanks

Well, those of you that read the build log know of he troubles I've had with my system and car. Combine that with the fact that we traded the Jeep in on the wife's new G35 and I'm left with nothing to haul stuff in. The decision has been made to sell my car and get a truck. Well I got a design for the box I want and I am having a shop build it today. This is it. 17"H x 42"W x 24"D, 8.174^3ft gross vol. Slot port, 15.5" x 5" x 15.92"Long@37Hz. After all displacement, 7.048^3ft net What do I need to change the port to too get a tuning of 35hz?

Sup all. Random question that i should know the answer to but whatever lol. Is having a high amount of watts with your sub and amp always a good thing or if your going for something purely strong and heavy? or if you want quality will you find it with something that has less watts? and if neither then im officially confused lol.

i need help i will be adding my old subwoofer to my other subs and was wonder if i can wire a single voice coil sub with a dual voice coil. the single voice coil is 4 ohms and the dual is a dual 4ohms but idk how to wire it either in series or parellel

When running a 16 volt system for my amps, do I have to get a special 16 alternator or do I just put a high output alternator on 16 volt batteries. Also do any of you guys know if the kicker 1500.1's can handle 16 volts?

Anybody ever deal with taking the dash out on one of these? I'm trying to install my single din radio (not sure if single din's possible) and i'm afraid to just rip off the dash like I used to do with my 2001.

So i have tried searching and couldn't find anything specific about what kind of bolts to use for bolt terminals and how to install them. I usually run the wire right threw my box but i want to try some terminals this time. I tried looking for copper because copper is a good conductor but i could not find any. So what is the next best kind of bolts to use? How do you screw them on? I was thinking about putting some t nuts in the box on the inside and screwing my ring terminals into those then attaching the wire on the outside with bolts. any input would be greatful.

Is there a big difference between going with slot port or an aeroport?

Hi I was in my friends ride yesterday and heard a problem ive never read about When he turns his radio on, there is a static noise very similar to one you might hear from white static on a tv This noise starts before the music does and continues throughout music play Besides the annoying sound in the background, the music sounds fine Dude told me he just got a new radio cause he was hooking an amp up in the back and his headunit started smoking I could not figure that 1 out either, maybe he hooked the remote from the old radio 2 the batt and ground at the same time? I got these a few days ago to replace a set of Infinity Reference components and they sound pretty dang good. Big Big Big improvement. The only problem I have is the output is way down compared to the 2 ohm rated Infinity, which ain't a bad thing because they were very harsh to my ears, but the Bostons are having a hard time keeping up with my sub bass with only 60 watts on them. I am sure they would love some more power and probably wake up and really shine. Details........ The Bostons are rated @ 3ohm and 125w rms and I have a Rockford Forgate 450.4 amp that puts out 60w RMS x 4 @ 2 ohm, 100w x 4 @ 2ohm, and 225w x 2 bridged @ 4ohm. I am in the market for a car alarm for my 94' Suburban before I put all the gear in it. I can vaguely recall that there used to be some of the alarm makers having wiring harnesses out that would plug into your existing vehicle harnesses so that it would cut out having to splice into all the different loc.'s for the alarm to function. I have done a little searching on the net so far and not really found what I'm looking for or what I thought was out there. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe they abandoned the idea. Hey guys, Heres my problem: My system isn't loud enough for me anymore. What I have: -12" Soundsplinter rlp -Planet Audio amp [does 650 into 2ohms(which is what I'm running my sub at)] -2.6 @ 34hrz box I think its a combination of my mildly weak amp, and not quite the right size box thats throwing me off, but then again, I could be wrong. What I'm considering doing is selling my RL-P 12" and the amp with the box for as much as I can, and with it purchasing a 15" sub (most likely another rl-p) and a 1400w amp and then building a new box. I'm also considering buying another 12", buying that same 1400w amp, and running 2 12"s. If I'm thrifty and get some good deals, I'm sure…

Well, so now comes time to hurry up and get some bump in the Cutty before I leave. I've had my mind on some L7s for quite some time and with the recent Ebay explosion on great prices they are pretty hard to pass up. I'm thinking a trio of 12 will do nicely and I'll come in at just under $400 after shipping. Midbass is handled. I have a nice pair of RMB8s just awaiting a good home. Now on to HU, amplification and midrange, tweeters. Here I'm at a loss. Would like to get a nice cheap MP3 compatible HU; amps, who knows. Subs will be handled by a class D for current concerns, but is 1.5K feasible for $250-$300? And what about midrange/tweeter combos? I'm at a loss…
