as some of you know i was hit by a drunk driver a few months ago and now my settlement is almost over and im almost ready to start a build log when i recieve my money i want to keep my budget around the upper 5 thousand range it can go over some if i need to but i want to go 2 18s i was thinking two team fi 18s and a cresendo 5500 at .5 ohm or should i just get the sp4s or zv4s my goals are too tune around 32htz range i have a toyota tacoma double cab and im going to take the back seats out and wall it off so ill have around 10-14 sq ft in air space so ill be good on air space on any of these im pretty set on the cresendo 5500 so something i can run off of it and my eletr…

What does that mean in relation to the motor structure? What is different form a regular motor?

So I got meh 4 gauge amp kit today. :bigclap: My dad is fixed on helping me with the install and he said it would be easier to put the amp under the seat instead of in the trunk, and he is worried it might overheat in the trunk on a hot summer day. It fits nice and snug under the seat, and all I would have to run to the trunk would be speaker wire. Is there a reason I shouldn't put it under the seat instead of the trunk?

I have a Soundstream TRX 4.420,it puts out 70 watts rms x 4 channels @ 4 ohms, and 105 watts rms @2 ohms.------I have 2 sets of infinity's that run at 2 ohms,1 set of 6x9s rated at 105watts rms, and 1 set of 5 1/4 componets rated @ 75 watts rms. I was thinking of putting up a wall in the 944 for that massive dmx12 stage 2 i just had some one tell me that if you make a wall in your car you can get pulled over because you cant see out the back window is this true? my other question is, is there a class in comps were u can use a single 12 and if so what is the avg DB that people hit at say 50-60hz and what is the world record with a single 12. Was thinking sub in the middle and 2 6 inch aero ports on the sides next to it. never done a wall but would like to give it a go and maybe get into some comps.

I read some of the former posts and it said that it's bad to use the bass boost on the amp. So is it best to leave the bass boost off on the amp but ok to turn up the bass on the beck instead? I set my amp myself today, I'm pretty good with doing it by ear. These audio shops around here are either shady or stupid. One of the turned the bass boost up on my amp alot and turned the gain down lol. i need help i will be adding my old subwoofer to my other subs and was wonder if i can wire a single voice coil sub with a dual voice coil. the single voice coil is 4 ohms and the dual is a dual 4ohms but idk how to wire it either in series or parellel

ok heres the scenario say you have 3 subs that each take 1500 watts and you have 2 choices eiter buy 3 amps that put out 1500watts each or 2 amps 1 that does 1500 watts and the other does 3000 watts..would there be anything retarded about option 2 with the 2 amps?

Sup all. Random question that i should know the answer to but whatever lol. Is having a high amount of watts with your sub and amp always a good thing or if your going for something purely strong and heavy? or if you want quality will you find it with something that has less watts? and if neither then im officially confused lol.

hi all went up to a local truck shop the other day and found a demo for a truck liner which consisted of a few pamphlets and a coke can covered in bed liner, well a friend of mine and i started playing with this can and soon enough we were breaking a sweat trying to crush it. then later that night i was watching my truck as the fi q 18 i had in the bed played and i saw how much everything was flexing so i was wondering if i coated the inside of my truck with the bed liner if it would save me from running into a problem like iamanmp3pimp (sorry if i butchered the Sn )had with his roof flexing till it cracked. thanks

Ok i know the kicker amp shouldnt do 1 ohm, but i have been doing some reading and they say it can be ran at 1 ohm. When i say they i mean other users of this amp online. I did hook it up at 1 ohm and it did fine until i turned up the gain and bass boost. But with the cadence amp it runs fine no problems. It doesnt even get hot. So what i would like to know is should i run my kicker at 1 ohm, and play with fire. Or should i play it safe and run the cadence? out of the 2 amps which would give the best sound? and how is cadence as a amp i never had one before?

Which would be the better route to go to power a 15" fully loaded Fi BTL, 2 powerbass ASA 1500.1Dx amps (i already have one) or one Hifonics Brutus BRZ2400.1D? does anyone know if powerbass actually puts out rated power? i heard that the brutus is under rated

Hey guys, I'm really new to car stereo and need some help. I need all the wire, fuses and distro's for my install. I have a couple sundown amps, the 100.4 and the 1000d. For speakers I have a set of components and an Fi Q sub. I'm also looking to upgrade the big three and add a 2nd battery. What do I need to complete the install? I am in the market for a car alarm for my 94' Suburban before I put all the gear in it. I can vaguely recall that there used to be some of the alarm makers having wiring harnesses out that would plug into your existing vehicle harnesses so that it would cut out having to splice into all the different loc.'s for the alarm to function. When running a 16 volt system for my amps, do I have to get a special 16 alternator or do I just put a high output alternator on 16 volt batteries. Also do any of you guys know if the kicker 1500.1's can handle 16 volts?

Okay. The box is 4 cubes @ 31-32 Hz for an Fi Q15. The box is strangely shaped because a spare tire is going to be standing up vertically behind the box to the right of the port. This was my plan. I was going to add 2 more vertical 2x4's to the right and left of the sub hole. The baffle, port, and vertical brace are NOT permanent yet. They haven't been attached yet. That's what's permanent. I was told the back wave is going to be fed directly into the port and that usually doesn't work well. Should I change my port? Anything else?
