Hi I was in my friends ride yesterday and heard a problem ive never read about When he turns his radio on, there is a static noise very similar to one you might hear from white static on a tv This noise starts before the music does and continues throughout music play Besides the annoying sound in the background, the music sounds fine Dude told me he just got a new radio cause he was hooking an amp up in the back and his headunit started smoking I could not figure that 1 out either, maybe he hooked the remote from the old radio 2 the batt and ground at the same time? I'm sure this will sound very juvenile to pretty much everyone on this board, but after doing some research on the topic and not finding what i was looking for, I found this site and thought i could get the answers i'm looking for and it would be a bit more clear as to what i'm trying to do. I have, in my boat, 4 5.25" sony speakers (1xx watt peak \ 40 wall rms) attatched to a sony HU (52x4). my problem is that it's just not loud enough while i'm driving at cruising speeds. i want to add an amp and possibly 2 more speakers. i was thinking about getting a 4 channel amp. can i use the 4 ch amp to power all 6 if the amp is capable? or should i just buy a small 400 watt amp (…

I am building my first system my car. I have done lots of research and have come up with this. Its a 2003 dodge neon. My budget is about $1000 (+-$100) I listen mainly listen to hip-hop, rap, techno (trance). Then some classic rock, some metal, and some alternative I am looking for great SQ let me repeat that SQ is the top priority in this build, but I still would like to be able to turn up the bass to loud levels and impress people I want something that will give adjustability especially the bass. I have an 880prs running active to a soundmagus 90.4 (soon to be Sundown SAX-100.4) , running CDT M6 mids in the doors and peerless tweeters in the sail panel. I am currently looking to get rid of both the mids and tweeters and upgrade.The doors are fully deadned and sealed w/ cascade deadner and reflex pads. Just looking for some help as to which way i should go with the about 200 i have to spend. The tweeter I need to stay within 1" and mid I can go 7" at most. thanks for any help nate

Setup - 1999 Ford Expedition 5.4L 2 x 15" MTX 9500 1ohm setup Crunch GP3000D Amp ----------- Electrical: Big 3 of course - 1/0 Gauge Stock Alternator - I JUST replaced this thing a month ago, previous alternator crapped out on me. Question: Will the D3100 battery (second) be enough to handle the electrical? I plan on getting an Optima Yellow up front. Worse case scenario, I can always just upgrade the alternator. But i'd rather not if I don't have to. I just want a good steady voltage. ----------- I was planning on going with 2 18 BTLs, but found a great deal for 2 15 9500s for only 500 total - so I'm going to jump on it. Hello everyone , i have a 1996 honda civic with a factory cassette player in the floor console, it looks like a single DIN opening, has anyone ever install a cd player into that opening? Just bought my first classic car. 1966 Cadillac DeVille drop top. Just had a JL Audio system installed. 1 12" W7 in thr massive trunk. She rattles like crazy. What is the best sound deadener for the money that wont damage my vehicle and that can be removed sometime down the road? This car is original and worth money so I dont want something that will ruin the vehicle paint. Thanks

Well where to begin? About 3 months ago my friend nick decided to get a blow through installed in his '98 tacoma reg cab. The aaudio shop he went to installed 2 memphis 12's not the mojo but the next step down. His box is each sub in a 1.2 cube firing at each other into a 3.5-4 cube space. With a port that extends out from there into the cab. Needless to say it sounds and his like @$$. Well, you guys have any ideas how to make it better both sq and spl wise, and no a match and gas isnt an option. Any ways I was thinking one 12" or 15" in 3-3.5 cubes ported. with the sub and the port facing forward to go through into the cab. How does that sound? We are starting …

Anybody know how many amps a stock alternator puts out on a ford contour gl 96?

Quick shirt trick, then a video showing some stuff blow around. I finished deadening my doors and had a ton of little pieces of paper in my car from the deadener so I figured Id turn it up and make a video. Yes I know its dark. Oh well. The second song sucks, It was just some song on the radio. The first video would be better but I was trying to hold the deck, control the volume, and shoot a video. So I decided Id just turn on the radio and shoot a video with whatever song was on.

Sub is coming in today, really stoked. Bought a box, had it made to the smaller Icon 15" dimensions provided by SSA, but it was too big. Now according to the measurements I made, I thought the box was fitting.... wrong. It was a little off, and that made a big difference. Now I'm getting another box made for the IA Lethal Injection 15" and would like to know of anybody who has had experience with the Charger. If anyone has had a box in their Charger, how big was it? Any kind of help would be sick, I would make a mock box but I'm short on time and have no cardboard at the moment.

I built the box that my current sub is in now, which it looks decent and sounds good. I have a 12" SSA Icon in it, I believe its a 2.3 cu. @ 33hz. For me to build the enclosure it costed me around $90 with all the materials. I have an 12" RD Alpha V.2 and an extra SSA Icon just sitting in my basement. Which is why I decided to build or have a box build for two 12" Icons and then put my RD Alpha in the box that I currently have. Here is my question.
