my friend wants me to build him a box for 2 12" rf p1's. right now hes using a pre fab box that is complete garbage. its for his dodge daytona, which is a hatchback, any tips on what size sounds good, or what airspace sounds good for a ported box, or if sealed sounds better with those, because i have no idea. thank you very much

My original plan was to have my two 6" Aero ports going through the 6x9 slots in my rear deck. So heres my solution. So I've been listening for leaks in my new sealed box and browsing through stuff that I haven't heard in a while. A song that I've heard countless times before, Dread Rock (Paul Oakenfold, Matrix soundtrack) literally made me jump out of my seat when it hit a certain note that I've never heard before. I've had a small sealed enclosure with my single RL-i8, but it never hit sounds like this. I guess it really proves that it's all about the box... although I'm sure adding another RL-i8 (and lowering the impedance to 4ohms in the process) didn't hurt. Hey guys, I'm really new to car stereo and need some help. I need all the wire, fuses and distro's for my install. I have a couple sundown amps, the 100.4 and the 1000d. For speakers I have a set of components and an Fi Q sub. I'm also looking to upgrade the big three and add a 2nd battery. What do I need to complete the install? hey, I need some advice on how to mount the sub and amp, so it doesn't slide around. I have a Fi Q12, memphis 16-PRD 1000.1 amp, and a 2007 honda accord V6 EX-L

so i bought some ppi sedonna components and i just know got around to hooking them up and hooked up one of my crossovers and it would play anything out of the tweeter outout. i thought it could just be a bad connection but redid the wires and it still wont play switched to my other crossover and it plays fine. just wondering if anyone can help me figure out how to fix it??? thanks

Ok I just got my fi bl 18 and we have it hooked up to a hifonics bxi1606 and it is ran by a pioneer deh 5900, but anyway it worked good when i first got it 2 days ago, then it started making a weird noise and stopped working. Then after we took the whole thing apart and couldn't find the problem we put it back together and it magically started working again. Then today it stopped again. We took the whole thing apart and the amp still works and the sub isnt blown, and it isn't the auxiliary. Idk we've been messing with it for like 4 hours and the only thing i could think of is that a door speaker is messing up or the rem wire is messing up. Any help much appreciated, Mike…

What does that mean in relation to the motor structure? What is different form a regular motor?

This would be my first time getting an extra battery with a system and i have only a little knowledge on how to wire this. I am going to receive my AQ2200d and will be upgrading my stock alt to a 200A one and getting a yellowtop. So how am I supposed to wire all of this? Recently got a new car and i'm going to have this one for a long time. So i'm looking for a nice headunit. I've been looking into the double din types e.g. the pioneer D3, or Z2. Or the panasonic Strada. or whatever. I'm leaning more towards the pioneers because i can get them for cheap. Or possibly a JVC only problem is the jvc doesn't have navigation like the rest. Any suggestions guys??

Hey guys, i need help and some kind of solution in securing my box in the trunk. its a premade JL audio box called a powerwedge, so the box is shaped...like a wedge in the back! The problem is the design of my trunk, since it has "bumps" on the sides, making it so the box wont fit directly straight in. Think of the box sitting on a slight decline, like a car going down a steep hill. The problem with this is that the box has already fallen over frontwards because a lot of the weight is sitting right in the front, and i dont want to damage the subwoofers (2 12" FI Q). I've already propped the front part of the box with 8 mini carpets, but i'm afraid that will only work as a…

Hello everyone , i have a 1996 honda civic with a factory cassette player in the floor console, it looks like a single DIN opening, has anyone ever install a cd player into that opening? Trying to run 2 zcon 12's with a crescendo bc5500 at .5 ohm. Im not sure if the site numbers are gross or net, but what would be a good size box?

I have a 1985 chevy el camino. I am contemplating on what to put in it for subs. the measurements I have for room are 20 wide x 10 high x 18 roughly deep and I can put one of these boxes on each side of the tranny hump. So i am stuck between a 8"and 10" sub for each side. I really liked my uncles 12w7 in a 2.25cube box tuned to 32 with a jl1000. I have a Rockford Fosgate t10001bd amp. I have put a 140 amp altenator in my car my stock one was 58amps. So my amp power should be good. What is a good pair of 8s or 10s that will fit in the space that I have ported that will hit like my uncles 12w7.

At what frequency does a tone go from unidirectional to omnidirectional? Im considering doing a wall build. I could fit 2 -12" or possibly 4-10" midbass pa speakers behind the seats to use strictly for midbass to keep up with the subs and the 4 pairs of 6.5's I have in my front doors. I know this isnt the best way (sq wise) to go about doing it but i really love strong midbass and it has been something i have been lacking for quite some time now.

so im back, still trying to understand this whole audio thing lol. havnt had much time to look into it but i had an ohm question i thought i might be able to get a easy to understand answer of... basicly from what ive been reading and such, unless im mistaken which is why im asking here, a 1 ohm amp goes to a 2 ohm sub and a 2 ohm amp will go to a 4 ohm sub? and is there some sort of converter that allows you to go 1 ohm to converter to a 4 ohm sub? or have i just confused everyone and should keep reading lol?

Working on an HT as well, looking to go surround 6.1 or 7.1 with 21" Maelstrom-X's as well, MTM with Kevin's Anarchy cheap tweet crossover. May get an HDTV... So, I want to be able to hook my laptop to my HU if I so desire, as well as to my HDTV to watch online on the HDTV. Will I need a special sound card?
