so i finally manned up and decided to wall my s10. im doing two 15inch aa mayhems. i am having shizzzon design my box and i will build it. im posting this to ask for tip and tricks to doing a wall from anyone that has done one. Any input is apretiated.

My FI BTL15 is on its way and right now im working on getting the money for a high output alternator...locally a guy can make me a 120 Amp Alt. Is a 120 Amp alt enough to power the 15" Btl????...im going to be running a Hifonics BRZ 2100 at 1 ohm probably round 1900-2000watts steadily....im an everyday banger so its gunna be seeing a lot of work I have a Kinetik HC1400 as my main battery and a HC2000 in the trunk (Upgraded Big 3 to 0AWG)

Basically just want to have an idea of how loud should I be able to get with this setup. 1 Fi BTL 18 Fully-equipped @ 1ohm 1 Sundown 3500D @ 1ohm Big 3 1 XS D3100 battery (under the hood, main one) Alpine 9887 HU Maybe 225amp alternator Zero gauge everywhere. Enclosure around 5-7 cubic ft tuned to 30Hz

Looking to start buying the pieces for my next build and im fairly sure im going to be using a bc2000 to power it but as far as drivers im pretty split between a few options. I want to be able to get really loud at around the 30-33hz area and really loud period but no a complete loss of musical ability. Going to be a daily driver build. Mainly been looking at either 2 15" ssa icons, dc level 4s, fi bl's or 4 sa-12s. Im leaning toward the sa-12s right now. Any advice would be appreciated.

im very new to car audio. my problem lies with when my volume of the HU is all the way to zero and i go to my subs there is a faint noise its hard to explain well it's kinda like a hum or a buzz but very quite i tried the ground loop fix by grounding my rca's to the HU and that helped a bit since the noise was louder before and that got rid of it then i found a better bolt for my amp ground so it was more secure and that did not help. so idk what could be the problem. my setup with the problem HU: pioner DEH x3500ui subwoofer: one kenwood kfc w3013ps other sub is unknown i was told from the seller it was an older kenwood but im thinking it is a home thearter subwoofer. …

What do I have to consider about the box design and sub placement and bracing to have the ports on the rear of the box? The reason I ask cause subs would be side and there wouldnt be too much room for the ports if they went next to the outsides of the subs in my trunk. Also are there any benefits to a single chamber push pull ported box? Downsides? What if in the same box, the speakers are on opposite planes- one in back, one in front? I cant find ANYTHING like this on this on google and want to know why.

I have my kenwood excelon 4 chan mounted in front of my sub and port... I think the vibration is the reason I had to get the digital processor replaced on the amp and kept giving strange errors on the display. we tried larger head screws and my next option is rubber washers to stop the amp from vibrating so much. or would it be smart just to forget about the amp and jump on the pre order for the sundown 100.4. has anybody ever heard of that problem before?

I am trying to plan out my build so that I can place things and make my wiring but I have a few questions about a few things. I have a 1/0 run of power from my front going back to 2 extra batteries. I will be upgrading my big 3 4g with all 1/0 wires. In the back of my trailblazer will be the extra batteries. Now, I will just run the main power wire to the first battery then run a short wire to the + on the second battery, correct? And as far as the ground.. I'm sure it would be best to ground both batteries off to the frame... Should I run a short wire between the 2 -'s on both the extra batteries as well? I can't help but notice that manufacturer are still using paper cone subwoofers, while other companies are using aulumium, carbon, poly cones etc. etc. What is the purpose for having paper around? You would think having paper in the automotive enviroment would be a bad idea, considering things like moist/ Uv rays. For example most factory speakers found in cars are paper,over a period of time they become dry-rotted or cracked, in other words wheather beaten.

Recently got a new car and i'm going to have this one for a long time. So i'm looking for a nice headunit. I've been looking into the double din types e.g. the pioneer D3, or Z2. Or the panasonic Strada. or whatever. I'm leaning more towards the pioneers because i can get them for cheap. Or possibly a JVC only problem is the jvc doesn't have navigation like the rest. Well i can hear the Bl is reeking havoc on my box when it hits the low notes i can hear an air leak even with a monster port. Thing is id like to be able to have to option to move from one 15bl too two down the road. Question is do i build 2 separate boxes and just leave one out for now or do i make say a 8+cuft box and run one in it for now. I don't think that would work considering the port area would be to large for just the one sub right? Anyways i got a 21.5xin40inx26in (HxWxD) space to work with and i can barley manage it but i can get two 21x20x26 boxes with 4.01cuft after displacement and tuned to 32hz in there. what do you guys think i should do?

aight so the van came out for the first time today at the soundcheck customs show in lafayette indiana. didnt get all the highs hooked up so it was only burped about 40 times today haha. and the adassa subs i have took the sundown 3000ds i have at 16v like a champ. got a couple flex vids and some pictures of some of the other vehicles at the show. hope u enjoy. this is the best flex vid to give u an idea why my windshield broke suction cups came off the termlab sensor OOPS PASSENGER SIDE hair trick door open. pictures of the competition

I built the box that my current sub is in now, which it looks decent and sounds good. I have a 12" SSA Icon in it, I believe its a 2.3 cu. @ 33hz. For me to build the enclosure it costed me around $90 with all the materials. I have an 12" RD Alpha V.2 and an extra SSA Icon just sitting in my basement.
