Hello everyone , i have a 1996 honda civic with a factory cassette player in the floor console, it looks like a single DIN opening, has anyone ever install a cd player into that opening? Alright, so since i have nothing but time on my hands i was looking around at the IASCA rule book, and im considering i might be competing after my nice long Canadian winter. Id be in the Rookie 2 section. (Single Fi BTL 18 N2). Now, i saw a rule that all subwoofer enclosures / ports need to be in the cargo area. My original plan was to have my two 6" Aero ports going through the 6x9 slots in my rear deck. So heres my solution. Since aero ports are lovely and are able to be removed, i was thinking of making much shorter, like 5" in length aero ports for competitions. Giving me like a 45 hz tune or something. Geez thinking about competitions when i havent even insta…

A really nice kid that comes to my town once in a while to check out my van build has a school dance coming up and wants to borrow one of my EP4000s to run off his old receiver that has no crossover. He's running a car audio sub, I think it's a 15" Shocker Sig I'll make sure tomorrow, probably in a car audio box built to spec, going to guess 4-6 cubes tuned around 33Hz...I'll verify that as well. I trust the guy and he's really cool, but I don't ever move my amps...I dont ever fiddle with them...I dont want anything happening to them. My girlfriend, her son, and I use the stereo round the clock. I'd really like to come up with a VERY cheap alternative if possible and try …

I have heard before that port noise can be increased if the port is too close to the sub. Is there any legitimacy to this?

It was between posting on here or in home audio but i just decided to post here.... my older brother has a Sony WM500 subwoofer that he bought a couple years back and does not use it so I decided to start a fun, little, "screw around" project. I have already taken the powered amp off the original enclosure and disconnected all the wires. Also I have taken out the actual subwoofer and taken out the power on button from the sub and I am planning on building a box for this sub. First off here is the subwoofer w/ powered amp: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=11027875 Ok, so the box …

Im looking to do a set up for a 2002 honda accord 4 door. Im willing to take in all advice to how i should go about it. Im interested in getting the Fi Audio SP4 but open to suggestions. Thinking about powering it with a crescendo amp possibly. I also want the set up to sound as clean and clear as possible. It will be a daily driver set up with the possibility of some local spl contests. Let me know what you think or what you have done.

I am building my first system my car. I have done lots of research and have come up with this. Its a 2003 dodge neon. My budget is about $1000 (+-$100) I listen mainly listen to hip-hop, rap, techno (trance). Then some classic rock, some metal, and some alternative I am looking for great SQ let me repeat that SQ is the top priority in this build, but I still would like to be able to turn up the bass to loud levels and impress people I want something that will give adjustability especially the bass. Will an amp with a remote give me this adjustability? This is my list so far but I am willing to completely change it based on your suggestions. Head Unit-/link http://…

Hey, I'm getting back into the swing of building again after a long period of no fabrication, and I'm trying to find a dual or triple bracket system for a 98 f-150 truck. I suppose I should try a metal shop or something first? Another question I have is when you got to plug in the control module or power wires do you just splice them all? Any information or experience would be helpful. Thanks

If you had 3 exterior 6" aeroports would it effect them in a negative way to have them entering near the coners of the box or at the lower part? Or is it better to have them in the middle? Thanks, Brock
