Im looking to do a set up for a 2002 honda accord 4 door. Im willing to take in all advice to how i should go about it. Im interested in getting the Fi Audio SP4 but open to suggestions. Thinking about powering it with a crescendo amp possibly. I also want the set up to sound as clean and clear as possible. It will be a daily driver set up with the possibility of some local spl contests. Let me know what you think or what you have done.

I am building my first system my car. I have done lots of research and have come up with this. Its a 2003 dodge neon. My budget is about $1000 (+-$100) I listen mainly listen to hip-hop, rap, techno (trance). Then some classic rock, some metal, and some alternative I am looking for great SQ let me repeat that SQ is the top priority in this build, but I still would like to be able to turn up the bass to loud levels and impress people I want something that will give adjustability especially the bass. Will an amp with a remote give me this adjustability? This is my list so far but I am willing to completely change it based on your suggestions. Head Unit-/link http://…

Bought a BTL 18. area in the trunk is tight for now... I would really like my Sub and port facing up. but if that isnt possible or not good then i will settle fot the sub facing up and the port wherever it must be. i plan to use 1" think wood i guess (not sure if thats good enough or what kind to even get) so my dimensions for the box will have to be D: 25" H: 19" W: 27" i subtracted the inch of wood from this and comes to obviosly D: 24" H: 18" W: 26" I entered this into a volume calculator on some website and it told me that this was 6.5 cubic feet. My question is, is this correct? and if not what is the true cubic feet of these... im pretty good at math but i couldn…

  9. Hey, I'm getting back into the swing of building again after a long period of no fabrication, and I'm trying to find a dual or triple bracket system for a 98 f-150 truck. I suppose I should try a metal shop or something first? Another question I have is when you got to plug in the control module or power wires do you just splice them all? Any information or experience would be helpful. Thanks

Everyone has their own way of doing stuff and I'm sure you guys all have some little tricks you use whether it be for installing, building, tuning, etc. Would be kinda cool just to see what everyone does. I'll start....when something is rattling but I can't tell from where, I plug my nose and keep my mouth shut, then I try to exhale. It cuts out all of the bass and you can clearly hear things rattling. The same thing happens when you plug your nose while you sneeze, or if you yawn.

Hey Jon. I want to order all my new equipment today or tomorrow but i wanted to make sure it will all fit and hookup properly i have a few questions if you knew just quick answers to any that would help alot. Setup: (2) 15" FI BL (2) Saz1500 (1) 1 trunk battery (suggestions would be great) Here's the questions... - I can only fit around 7.3 cubes before displacement so it'll come down to just under 7cubes.. This should be enough airspace since its within the recommendations of FI 3-4cubes each. (2) 6" aeroports is what i'm aiming for In order to prevent further displacement I'm considering adding a baffle to the outside of the enclosure. - Will this be a sufficient am…

dont bash this idea to hard but id like to hear some thoughts on it. alittle info: dad drives a 03 f150 and his equipment right now is a Panasonic hu, polk db 5.25" coax upfront and a cheapy clarion sub (4ohm svc) in a box behind the center console in the backseat and a 2 channel amp that is bridged to the sub. amp is a walmart sony xplod... so we're talking maybe 150x2 @ 4 ohms (probably less). my idea: make him a tri way crossover... (really i just want to mess around to see if it works) so, if i understand the idea, i would set the amp to full range and design a passive xover for the speakers. so the sub would be bridged to 4 ohms and a lpf will be used @ ~70hz and …

Okay well i got into car audio about 6 months ago. I recently purchased 2 Diamond D1 12's, a 2 farad 2000 watt capacitor, and Memphis pr 100.2. I have all of the above installed in the back of my girlfriends explorer because im getting all new stuff for my car in December, this was kind of a test type install. I installed everything myself. I have a chitty box that they are sitting in right now. Just getting into car audio, i wasn't sure what to look for when buying a box. I just bought one that would hold the 2 twelves, turns out the box wasn't even caulked all the way around, its sealed by the way. I recaulked the whole thing and it sounds better now. Okay now that th…

  23. Hey guys, just bought a 2007 altima sedan, fully loaded. It has the bose system with the navigation in it. The speakers sound good, but its a little lacking on the low notes. Questions.... 1. Is it possible to wire in a sub to the stock system? 2. Does anyone here make a box similar to http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_stealthbox_detail.php?fit_id=1620 ( they dont sell just the enclosure ) 3. Looking at a 10" icon, fi q, or lethal injection. 4. Main goal is a clean looking trunk without taking out the spare. Been looking for a while, but havnt been able to find anybody doing boxes like this. Any opinions/help is greatly appreciated.

  25. I am building a box for 2 SA-12's for the trunk of my altima. I want to have a square port between the 2 subs on the front of the box, looking somewhat like this: O | O sub port sub Using 3/4" MDF and outside dimensions, my box's height can only have ~ a height of 16.5", a width of 33", and a depth of 16.5" (however, the depth can be altered a good bit if needed) I need to know what dimensions to make the port and the dimensions of the box itself if anyone could help. Thanks.
