(literally a browser window) So I was looking at amps as I always do... I just love fcking looking at them.... pricing out what I like and then starting all over again... Recently went to woofersetc and found this company 'Wet Sounds' The pricing is around the same ball park of ZED Audio... These are "marine" products apparently but they look pretty nice. Anyone ever heard of them before? They pretty much make everything.. A $700 subwoofer is available too... GEEZ!!!

I just downloaded WinISD and am trying to figure out what length i need for my port, but my driver is not listed, and i don't know the t/s parameters Driver is a bose 201 6.5" its fairly old, early or mid 90's. External dimensions are 6"x9.5"x12" using 1/2" mdf. port will be 2" pvc pipe, and the port will be external.

So I found out today that the version of WinIsd I had been using became obsolete ages ago Trying to model a JL Audio 15w0v3 and I'm skeptical of the cone excursion graph it's showing. Considering I modeled the thing in a 15 ft3 box tuned to 15hz I was expected cone excursion to at least get higher than 1.5mm on 500 watts. I feel like I've done something wrong but for the life of me I can't figure it out! I'm confident all the driver parameters I entered were correct.. Any insight as to what foolish thing I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Can someone explane what these charts mean? i don"t understand what these mean but the first cart being the highest at 50hz makes me think that i won't be able to hit lows well. i listen to slowed music 90% of the time i just want loud and low. i don"t really care about anything above 50hz or so. box is a 4th order 2 cubes sealed 6 ported tuned to 60hz 90sq in. of port. if i am right about not being able to hit low how can i change that? lower tuning, make chambers smaller? (8 cubes is the most space i have so can"t make chamber bigger without making other smaller)

hey so i want to build an aeroport enclosure for a fi ssd 12 @ 33 hz and i have no idea if this graph is good or not. this box is 2.5 cubft and also i want to use a pvc port but i only have a 6inch pvc pipe at 15 inches in length and for what i need i will need a 21 inch long port for 6 inch port but i have also have a 4 inch pipe that i only need around 9 inches in length so im thinking about using the 4 inch but not sure if that will give me enough port area and not choke the sub. so can anyone tell me if this graph is good or is it too peaky at the 33hz point and if this is too much of a peak how can i make the tuning of the box more flat? test1 graph.bmp

I'm looking to put wire connectors to power, ground, and speaker wires to my amps. (RF T6000-4, RF T10001) Just wondering what sizes and types do you recommend? T600-4 power and ground are 4ga., speaker wire is 14ga. T10001 power and ground wire is 1/0ga, speaker wire is 14ga. Or is this a good idea? Maybe just the speaker wire, just looking for opinions.

As you know, a Power Acoustik A2400DB is in transit to my house via UBetterNotScrewUpMyPackageSPS Air Mail. Wire ... wire ... wire. Wire. I can get a Power Acoustik 2 gauge kit (complete) for $24 USD + $20 to ship it since I'm in Canada. However, it comes with an AGU style fuse and fuseholder, which will not cut it. So I'd be upgrading to an ANL style fuse and fuseholder. So I'd be paying $44 for the kit, plus another $43 for a fuseholder and fuse - which puts me at $87 USD. KnuKonceptz has a nice 1/0 gauge kit. Doesn't come with an RCA, but that's not a big deal because I have an extra on here I can use. Of course, KnuKonceptz does NOT ship to Canada. That's a $70…

Ok, I've got another question. I'm just going to copy and paste this from a thread I started at CA. I don't like to post the same question in more than one location at a time but it doesn't look like I'm going to get any kind of response there. The guide in question is here Thank you for any assistance.

Here is the planned system. 1995 s-10 blazer is the ride. High output alt (200-300 amp output). Yellow top optima up front. Two, for now, Kinetik khc2400 batteries in back. Four MA Audio hk802sx amplifiers. Two channel high current amps rated at 4400 watts RMS x1 @1ohm. We are guessing with full power behind them they will put out about 3500 watts each. Four FI Audio BL 15s. My question is this. Should a guy run two or four runs of 0 gauge wire to the back? Please explain why you say which one. I think two will work as the two of them can transfer around 600 amps through thier 13-14 foot lengths and that is about all that is available from the alt and battery…

How much 1/0 should I buy for the van? I was thinking about replacing the runs already in the van with new wire, so what 100' power and like 25' ground? Also, how thick speaker wire would you use for roughly 1000w per woofer? I figured 10awg speaker wire should suffice just fine. Although 8awg could happen if needed.

What's the disadvantages of running your power wire through the firewall? I already have a 4ga run that's keeping me from dropping volts, but want to make the run of 1/0 I have. I will obviously need to drill a bigger hole if I use the previous hole, and I'd prefer that over running under the car, but what are the advantages and disadvantages? The firewall is not as easily accessible as under a rear seat I am guessing.

As the title says, I hooked up my SSA Icon 12 to 200w today Since my Audioque 1200 doesnt come until Thursday and I noticed a few things... 1. Looks like I will definitely need to buy new speakers and amp them. 2. I severely underestimated this sub. This thing is a monster on only 200w 3. I have a ton of work to do to get rid of the insane rattle going on in the back. This is probably one of the loudest systems ive heard to date and its only on 200w right now. Ive never been so impressed by a single sub on such low wattage ever.

Hi guys, I'm new at this. Not really sure how to post. But here goes. I am planning to to connect up 2 amps. A 300w mono amp to 10inch Sub & a 4ch 640w(max out put) to 2 front splits and 2 rear speakers. I am gonna run a 4 gauge from battery to a distribution block and then run 2x 8 guage to the amps. am i using the right gauges? i was also thinking of running a 1 farad cap from the distribution block aswell. My plan is 3x 8guage from distribution block. 2 to the amps and 1 to the cap, is this the right way to wire it up?Also my friend told me that it is not necessary to pre charge the cap. Is this true? Coz i have read some forums and they say to charge it prior to …

Hey guys. Ok the is my dilemma. Ihave 2 JBL gti mkii 10" and 2 amps. Ihave fused the voice coils together. Well I assume that's what I've done. One reads at 3.5 ohms and one at 7 ohm. So what I am asking is can I link the subs together to even out the ohm load and then run the amps in parallel. And if so how would I run my speaker wire. I really miss my good out put but I don't want to cook anything and have no system. Please help

I have 10-8 inch and 6-10 inch PRV audio speakers. I have Taramps HD8000 2ohm running all 16 speakers. My question is will I get better performance from all 16 speakers if I separate the 8's and 10's to different amps? It does get reasonable but in my opinion I have heard smaller systems get louder with less power.
