I've notice WMD 18s on sale $175ea. I just wanna know i does it perform as far as spl/sq goes? any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Well i went to my first show today since my truck was vandalized and robbed. It was a local car club show and although it rained the show turned out great. I entered in the mini truck and the DB classes. I didn't win for mini truck but i did take 3rd in the DB drag. There were roughly 10 cars that actually had something decent that were allowed to compete. I think i did pretty good being that 1st and 2nd went to sponsored vehicle's. They were using Memphis audio amps and 1 mojo i think 15 each. There setups were identical. on being in a 02ish cavalier and the other in a 06 Grand prix. The cavalier had a wall in the backseat and the Prix just had a nice box in the truck. …

Ok, I have like 3 8'x16'' long boards of 7 layer plywood. i am going to make a box 40x12x12 for two 10 TC7s. Should I go buy MDF or would the 7 layer plywood work just as well? the box will be ported using 3' big 14'' long areo ports.

This would be my first post onto this forum but to start it off i'd like some opinions. I had belief in a theory that if your woofers faced each other you could then perhaps feed them more power and essentially they would just load off of each other. Now technically speaking how do you guys think this would work? Keep in mind they are both (2) in phase with one another in separate boxes.

holy moses indeed...after scouring google for comments on this car audio e-tailer I too am feeling angst!!! Granted any comment of e-tailer business experiences like anything else must be taken with a grain of salt...particularily when you take into account that 1 negative experience will reach mythic proportions as opposed to a good buying experience which probably results in no or at best, few good praise posts. It's been said many times that it's not as useful to add more power, as to have a more efficient enclosure, or that a single woofer in a correctly designed enclosure is generally better off than two or more in less than adequate boxes; I took some measurements of my truck, and it looks like I have plenty of room for a pair of 18's. But will the difference between one and two woofers be worth the extra costs? I'm looking to get loud, and sound fairly good doing it, however I cannot afford high power woofers, especially until I can get larger alt in. im about to do my very first system and i wanted to know if any one would even want to see it. all it is is a alpine type r 10 with a alpine mrp-m500 amp in a ported box. in the front is a kenwood HU and alpine sps-600 speakers. idk if thats a good build log but if anyone wants to see the build log let me know. im getting my amp in a few weeks so that is when i will be installing everything.

Well i just put 100 dollars in the bank and was bout to send the money to crescendo to get their new mp6 pa mids, come to find out they ran out of stock 2 days ago!!! they said they still have some 8 ohm versions left for sale. i was gonna run 4 on a mb quart onx 4.125. well i planned on using the front channels for the mids and the rear for my tweets. well i cant buy the 4 ohm versions so would it be better to get the 8 ohm and run them 2 on left front channel and 2 on the right front channel for half the power i would have been getting, or wait 43 days til the 4 ohms get back in stock?

Buy a sony 12" component sub XSL124P5B and a sony stereo Model #: SON CDXGT320 for around 250$. And then buy four 6x9 pioneer speakers for i dont know how much. Would this system even work ? What would i need? I drive a 2000 f-150 lariot extended cab supercrew. Hey guys to give a little info on my set up so far, I'm sort of on a budget but in need of bass who isnt right? Well i bought 2 2010 kicker cvr 12"s for $100 for the pair going to have them on a crunch pzi. 1500 i know p.o.s amp but its what i got for now the box specs. are: 30 inch wide X 14 height X 29 deep. Port is going to be 4 inches wide X 12.5 inch tall X 18.5 inches depth tuned to 32 hz with 45* in the corners each sub is getting 2.486635 cubic feet each would this box sound good or what should i add or take off. Any info or input would be greatly appreciated

So I was looking to built a nice comp/sq. system in my Jeep cherokee couple of FI-audio 18Q/15Q. So far I've got the alarm, yellow top optima, and two sets of MB Quart qsd-216's. Well, today I was driving down the road with the stereo playing at my typical volume when all of a sudden all the lights on my dash (digital readouts) shut off for a split second, then come back on. At the exact same time this happens, my stereo drops in volume by a good 10-15db and gets extremely distorted. It basically sounded like my subs cut off, mids stopped playing and tweets got extremely distorted and dropped in volume. This only lasted 1 second at most, but immediately after it happened my car started having major voltage drop when the bass hit (mind you, I've never even had my lights dim with this setup).
