Ok... so when I started this build, it was on a budget and kinda rushed along. My hearing isn't that great anymore after years of drumming in a metal band, so I didn't want to go too far. My current setup is powered by a Kenwood amp pushing 40x4 and 300x1 at 4ohm. I really love it....but since installing these 2 Dcons, my front stage just ain't hangin. Let me say.... I can't imagine some of these setups u guys have. These 2 Dcons are bangin on only 300. Plenty for me, with my hearing loss and all. I currently have 2 PSI pf2 18s (1800w rms)and 1 Soundstream tx1.2000 amp on each. It sounds ok but im not sure they put out 2000rms@1 like it says... I saw 1 guy on youtube try n test one with a clamp meter and regular meter and figured about 900-1000 watts. I realize there is impendance rise n stuff. Im thinking about going with a 1 Crescendo 3500 or 5500...anyone ever ran these amps?

I wasn't sure if I should put this in Music or General Audio. I think it fits in both so I just stuck it here but please correct me if I am wrong. This is probably a stupid question but... Where can I get a CD or DL anything containing 10Hz-60Hz tones? I am trying get more into SPL and I wanna start testing different ports. The reason I want so low is because I have a 20Hz port for fun . I tried Bass Mekanik but it doesn't go as low and the tones kind of fade in and out (it's weird) and I can't find anything on iTunes. i hooked up 2 PSI 18S and 2 Soundstream tx1.2000d amps. Gains and freq levels were set the same on each paired amp n sub. The first lil while i played it, everything worked fine. then all the sudden i notice one sub were playing lower than the other. wtf right...checked the impedance on the coils and they check out fine. So over the last few weeks ive done everything i can think of from checking connections, swapping subs around, new rca cables, even thought it might be the bass knobs, and still one of the amps is putting out less power. I can tell there is an issue because when i play a test tone, what ever sub is hooked to that amp suffers especially in the low range 20…

The anticipation is killing me. Summer days go by and I'm not bumping. How long am I looking at to receive my single zcon recone? Ordered on 6/7. I was hoping it would arrive in 2-3 weeks. Anyone have any input on how long it took for them to receive a recone?

Just wondering what size to go with? When I ordered from Parts Express, the guy on the phone recommended 1/4" x 20, but turns out these dont fit the opening in my IDQ sub. What size does everyone else use?

Ok I have a 2013 ford fusion with ford mytouch. Touchscreen is connected to all the electronics in the car so running an aftermarket HU is out of the question because it will affect everything in the car. I have a 15" sp4 and im planning to run it on a sundown 3500. My question is if i use a line driver (audio control, LOC, etc) to connect my amp to my Factory HU will I lose output or my lows by doing this compared to running an aftermarket HU? I just don't want to run an amp and sub if i can't get its full potiential. Thanks!

I have a 15" SSA Xcon I am looking for a box for. I don't have the time or resources to build a box myself. I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a pre made box for this sub, or direct me to someone who can build one for me. Thank you for your time.

Any recommendations for a MDF paint primer? I would prefer the typical gray color of primers. I've heard that you need a special primer, but I wasn't sure. I did a search but most places said use primer as a general term and didn't specify a certain kind of primer or anything. I need know to smooth out and prime my old DCON boxes and also some SSA logo cutouts. Thanks

Was getting a CRAZY buzz/hum.... from the tweeters... thought it was amp.... HU pico..... not sure.... been going for a week after I switched the amps.... Well finally got it nailed to RCAs behind the HU .... BUT .... I need to find a permanent/neat way of creating this ground connection.... What I did was wrap the RCAs in copper but it is sooooo bulky...... what are some ideas? any pics or links to the idea would be greatly appreciated... I got so fcking annoyed that I took out the HU for now as I cannot tolerate the sound at all

okay so im looking into adding a 4 ch amp. i currently have 1 run of 1/0 to my back amp right now. i'd like to split that into one 1/0 and 8 gauge to my 4 ch. ive looked around and im a bit confused as to what to get. whats a decently priced block that can split my 1/0 off to a 1/0 and 8 gauge wire.

Recently went to woofersetc and found this company 'Wet Sounds' The pricing is around the same ball park of ZED Audio... These are "marine" products apparently but they look pretty nice. Anyone ever heard of them before? They pretty much make everything.. A $700 subwoofer is available too... GEEZ!!!
