Iam running 4 sundown 15" dual 2ohms on a sundown 2500 at 3/4 my amp goes into protect not sure what I am doing wrong. I have a 300 amp alt 3 2100 kinteck batteries sundown 100x4 rainbow higs & mids . I i have checked my wiring think thes woffers would be 1 ohm what am i missing voltage at amp 13.4 at time of shut down. I just replaced a sundown 1500 on to 18,s what am I doing wrong, thanks.

Instead of ordering a 8 gauge speaker terminal, waiting for it to get here then cutting a hole in my box and screwing that in.. Could I just get 2 bolts and 2 washers and screw those into my box and use those as a positive and negative post? Any tips or experiences with this? edit: im still a noob when it comes to little stuff like this, the only reason I ask is I have seen something similar done on this site.

Ok, so about a week ago I got my final system installed, except for the amp. Now when we were playing with it and just playing some music the rattle wasn't too bad but I put a layer of Stinger Roadkill on it and it helped a bit. Fast foward to this evening. I was demoing for some friends and I haven't had bad rattle yet until now. My trunk lid is now slapping and it's getting ugly. My setup is sub up port back so basically this sub is firing right at the trunk lid. So on a good note, this sub is moving enough air and creating enough pressure to begin to damage my trunk. On the downside, it's damaging my trunk. Question: Would another layer of deadener help with this? Or…

2000 Chevy Malibu

So I'm currently running one 2ohm 12 inch icon on a 1200 watt Cadence amp at 1 ohm.. in 2.4 cubes tuned at 29.. it sounds very good. But I want louder more spl.. as much as I can cram in the back of the bug without losing my backseat.... was initially going to move to a 15" X or zcon. Somebody here said my best bet would be to add a 2nd icon 12.. so that's my plan. I think I can squeeze 4.5 to5 cubes and was thinking 34-35 Hertz.. I definitely want to get a better quality amp even though I've had zero issues with the Cadence. It doesn't even get hot.. but I'm pretty set on the zapco St series amps. Naturally, the packages get sent to Vancouver where customs sorts through them, checks for drugs and bombs, determines the appropriate charge (14.5% tax in my case), and then hands them off to Canada Post to go and deliver. 7-14 days is normal for something coming from the US via USPS Air Mail Parcel Post. my friend let me borrow is 08 avalanche for a couple days and i was of course blastin the music....i had the volume on the head unit all the way up bass all the way down and the volume on the ipod all the way up wit the EQ set to treble booster. i played put on and on the high note the lights dim to the point that they are almost off and last night all fo the electronics acutally reset while i was driving the truck when i was bangin. the guages all shut off radio went off lights went off...everything went off for about 2 seconds then came back on and it was playing fine again...but still dimming. also the subs sometimes just cut out and stop playing all together when i tu…

I have a 1966 Chevy C-10 Pickup and I am pulling the system out of my car to put in the Truck when I get the brakes fixed. Anyway, I have been surfing the web like crazy and I can't find a dash install kit for the truck So I can put my HU in it. Do they even make one? Or am I going to have to have someone cut into the dash to make a custom fitted one?

I've got a set.. should I still use them for my front stage or sell them? I'd planned on going active with 110w to them.

Hey guys, Just got my 2 sa-12s installed with my saz 1000d. My light dimming is very minimal at night so i figured i would do the big three before i do anything else... I currently have 4ga wire for my amp ground and amp +. Would it be okay to leave it like that? If its okay to leave it like that, can i do the big 3 in 4ga? or just do it in 0ga. I will never put a larger amp in this car if that helps with anything. saz1000d will be the largest amp it will ever see.

Sup good people, I'm almost done with my installation...maybe another week or two, depending on my schedule. I've routed the power cable on the passenger side, the audio connects down the middle and all the speaker wiring along the driver's side. Now, I've built an amp rack to hold a DA D152 with the crossovers just to the left and right of it. The speaker wires going to the crossover that sits to the right of the amp will have to cross the power and ground cables. I can't believe I've gotten this far and totally forgot the rule about about keeping speaker wires away from power cables. My question is, will I definitely have audible interference? I currently own a 97 Buick LeSabre (240,000mi on it) so a new car will soon be required. I want my car to suit my audio setup more that the other way around. I got a phone call from my buddy today and he wants me to build an enclosure for his step dad's jeep. The woofer is a 12" Sony Xplode that he used to have in his truck. I have NO experience with this woofer. What would you guys, if you have experience with it, recommend for the airspace for a ported enclosure? I'm not sure on the power, I'm assuming like 300w though.

So for the first time ever, I set off some car alarms. LOL I know for most of you guys this isn't uncommon, but I've always thought it was a pretty cool/funny thing and I've finally done it. Their is going to be a sound comp in my city on June 12th. They have a meter. But they want to use two of their random songs they pick for spl and sq. It's understandable for the sq part of the sound off. But the same song for the spl part? I want to use tones. They are just going to pick music. Which if the song has a 30hz bass line. If I'm tuned to 40hz and play it, my subsonic filter would just cut it out. One guy said "Thats not how it works at a normal sound off. Everyone uses the same track. That's how it's been at every other sound-off I have attended. this isn't my first." What should I say?

Wondering on the average time

Have a pretty old Car audio background however have been out of it for while. I have been using my legacy equipment for years and has served me very well however its time for something new and very interested in Sundown. I already purchased the Subs a pair of RE MX12's that I want to run ( got a really good deal from a friend who was parting out) and need an amp to power them. Hi all, longtime lurker, first time poster. I'm not new to car audio, but I am new to this forum. I have an issue with my system setup, basically that there isn't much bass over the factory premium audio system. It's a long post so bear with me.
