One of my friends wants a sub but cant spend more then $200 bucks. He has an after market head unit so no need for a converter. So I was thinking its about $40 for the wiring kit I have an old image dynamics 12 in a huge ported box just laying around I can sell him so he just needs an amp he has around $100 left to spend on one so any ideas on the best $100 amp let me know.

I know everyone has their plethora of rap songs with heavy bass, but does anyone know of any good songs with heavy bass in another genre? A few I know are Decaf- White Clouds, as well as the Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight bass remix. Just wondering if anybody has some songs they knew of with some very unexpected bass. It's fun to scare the shit out of people with a bass line they didn't know was coming!

There is a bunch on eBay for under $10. They seem very cheap looking and I am not sure where I would go about mounting them. What meters are recommended for update speed, accuracy and still maintain a sleek appearance?

Hey guys, I have an 07 Tundra and I wanted a quiet ride. I laid down a layer of Dynamat Extreme and a layer of mass load vinyl from Second Skin (Luxury Liner Pro) on the entire floor and rear wall of the truck. It cut down the noise considerably. Now I can hear engine noise (coming through the fire wall in the front (which not much I can do about that) and exhaust/road noise coming through the doors. I think I can definitely do something with the doors. What material do you suggest to cover the doors? A layer of Dynamat Extreme? I read that Dynamat will cut down vibration, not so much with noise. The Mass Load Vinyl (Lux Liner Pro) is the stuffs for noise...howev…

Where is the best place to buy Knukonceptz 1/0 gauge wire for the cheapest price? And I also need suggestions on the best place to run my wire in my 2011 mazda 3. Right now I have Knukonceptz 1/0 gauge and the only place I could wire it was under my center console then I came out the side (driver side) and under my seat, and I don't know how to get it into the trunk of my car with it being un noticed, how can I hide it going through the back seat area into the trunk?

I just bought a pioneer avh-3200bt, pioneer gm-d9500f, and pioneer ts-d1720c speakers which came with 2 subs, 2 tweeters, and 2 crossovers. Where is the best place to buy an amp kit for it and how do you hook up the speaker amp wires when you have a mono amp hooked up to a subwoofer? I know how to hook up the subwoofer and amp without any problems, but I've never hooked up component speakers before and am a little confused on how to hook up the speaker amp to the back of the HU and to the battery if I already have a subwoofer amp connected to both?

  18. Just bought my first classic car. 1966 Cadillac DeVille drop top. Just had a JL Audio system installed. 1 12" W7 in thr massive trunk. She rattles like crazy. What is the best sound deadener for the money that wont damage my vehicle and that can be removed sometime down the road? This car is original and worth money so I dont want something that will ruin the vehicle paint. Thanks

I'm in the market for a new ride. Wanting to spend $20K or less. It must be 4 or 6 cyl. (not 8 because of high gas prices). I prefer Honda, Nissan, Toyota & Hyundai. I have (2) JL W7 12s powered by (2) JL 1000/1s. I currently own a 4-door Accord & have the (2) 12s firing towards the rear. The bass is nice, but my truck rattles BAD. VERY annoying. I've tried firing woofers forward in this car & was not as impressed with their performance as I was with them firing towards the rear. I need your opinions. Should I go with an SUV & fire them towards the rear? If so, what's an appropriate-sized SUV for the 3 cu ft. box required for the 12s? And how much space sh…

  23. I bought 2 15" VVX subs in 2011 and even had Skar build me a custom box for them and I'm very happy with it and still am today. However, I have another project I'm designing a build for and have emailed Skar audio (Kevin) direct, and Skar audio support after I got an email saying they try to respond within 2 hours of getting an email. Well, I sent 2 more emails over the last 7 days and called 3 times and left messages on their phone number about getting specs for subs and advice on my application/build. STILL NO RESPONSE! Once a fan boy, and now disgusted with this pathetic lack of support, I no longer will be buying new skar audio products since they don't put the custom…

Here is the tech/how-to link that on here that I will refer to later: Big 3 How-to I did the big 3 today in my car, (see sig for equipment/etc.), and I noticed something odd, (to me). A week or two before I actually did the upgrade, I had checked my voltage with a DMM for shiggles up front and on the amp. 12.5. Today after the upgrade, the voltage was 14.4ish, (moved around a little; no more than a tenth of a volt), front and back on amp. Both readings were taken with the car idling. This is good right? This was supposed to happen? Another question; on the link it says to fuse the alternator to battery positive wire with a fuse the same size as the factory fuse. I …
