I currently have a single ICON 12" powered by a SAE-1000D. It's fun and everything but after I tell people how much money and time I spent on it, they're not THAT impressed. Not once has anyone said it sounded bad, but they just have heard louder. They all say it sounds amazing (SQ wise) and say it can hit lows impressively compared to their generic kicker subs etc.... Anyways I was wondering if there are any pics or build threads of Silverados without a backseat and a tasteful box in it's place. I'm still debating on what to do, but I have no problem taking out the backseat and having a 2 seater truck, because if I had it my way I would've gotten a regular cab short bed …

Tried ordering an enclosure off the Fisher Custom site, then bad news comes. Something a long the lines of not being able to ship to my location and then I go to Audible Customs and they also can not ship to Louisiana at the moment. This is a big halt, as things were going so smooth.... while acquiring all the new equipment. I really don't have trust nor faith in the local shops around here, probably just as well off purchasing a prefrab from them but, I want to do things right. So if anyone knows of some legit people who could build me a bow and ship to Louisiana... that would be appreciative.

Hey y'all it's been a minute. I recently purchased a 2013 Cadillac srx. Totally in love with the new ride. No more huge audio builds. It has the factory 10 speaker Bose system, but sounds like total garbage. I'm planning on upgrading, but keeping it very clean. I'm going for clarity, not necessarily an sq build but more in that direction. Not sure where to start. Any suggestions? The sub will be replaced eventually. But in the mean time I guess front doors are priority . Factory tweeters are in the pillars. I want it to look completely stock or as close as I can.

Hello my fellow bass heads, i have a question for all you experienced compeditors, Doing my first meca show and the rules say i cant rev engine, so how do i increase my rpm? I've seen people at a show do something under the hood, but i could not see what, can someone on here PLEASE explain what and how they do that. Have til tomorrow to figure it out, Thanks in advance.

Has anyone ordered from Sonic or Online Car Stereo? Are these companies legit? What I was specifically looking at was a newer Pioneer 5700 DVD. The prices are sweet and are about $130.00 less than Crutchfield. Just wanting to know if anyone has any experience with these companies???

Anyone here have an 8th generation Honda Accord? If you do what system do you have in it and what does your trunk look like? Im trying to figure out how to build a box my 12" XCON subwoofer but the trunk is so stupidly designed. its very wide towards the trunk opening then goes very narrow as you move towards the seats due the wheel wells arching up into the floor. I'm in the middle of my girl's system install in her '01 civic and am having a tough time deciding were to place the tweeter The tweeters are too deep to flush mount on the door so I would have to surfarce mount if I put them on the doors or I could flush mount them in the kickpanels. Or maybe flush mount in front of the door handle? What do you guys suggest Also can start build log pics but this is a fairly simple install with f/r comps, two amps, one 12", 100 sqft sound deadening and cd player. Do you guys want the log?

Alright... so with the dimensions i am using for my 18" BTL, it will give very limited space for air to move around the box. I was going to fire it into the trunk, BUT it will give little air space to move around the box to get back into the cabin. Will this be a major problem? If so ill need to rethink the build.

Hi SSA, 1- I want to know what's a line driver specifically for? 2- Also is it worth having? 3- I've heard that the higher the voltage the better, but I don't really know what is meant by that. I know PPI had been slipping, but how does the new stuff stack up after the purchase by Epsilon and a total overhaul of all their lines?at least that's what I understand. I'm looking at the art series 6.5 comps(2sets) and the phantom series p900.5 amp with a dcon 10 out back sealed @ 1ft^3. I'm not looking to shatter any records or compete, just lookin for clean and fairly loud for yer average daily driver.

So after I installed my DD 9512g, its been knocking off my rear view mirror. I think this is the fourth time that it has came off. Its really not that loud to be doing this. It came off at Scraping the Coast 2010 and it took a piece of the windshield with it!!!!! I always use permatex extreme adhesive. I don't know what else to do now. Any ideas? Im thinking it might be due to the vibration in my floor translating to the windshield. My floor vibrates a lot along with my side mirrors and door panels.

I'm putting my first system together one piece at a time. I first picked up my Pioneer 8600 at the beginning of the year and installed it into my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT. Now I'm moving to the subwoofers and amp. I mainly have two possibilities: (2) Two 12" RE SEs--- powered by an Orion 1200d OR (1) One 12" RE SX--- powered by an Orion 1200d I will more than likely port it either way, I am just wanting the one that will sound better and have an overall LSQ. I've asked this question to numerous people and I've got many many different answers, if you have an other suggestions, please spit them out. I want to keep it around this price range. Thanks, Kyle

Have a pretty old Car audio background however have been out of it for while. I have been using my legacy equipment for years and has served me very well however its time for something new and very interested in Sundown. I already purchased the Subs a pair of RE MX12's that I want to run ( got a really good deal from a friend who was parting out) and need an amp to power them. Whats involved in doing a MDF roof? My headliner is shot, and i don't want to spend 350 for a replacement headliner. I think it would be nice cause I could make a console for the roof to mount stuff..

So here goes. Well I decided one day to tear out the center console in my truck with the intention of putting a new one in there.. Well 3 years later.. still no center console. So thats where it brings me up to pretty much till last weekend.
