Currently I drive a 00 Sunfire with no sound deadening, crappy walmart Sony Xlpodes for components, stock HU, and chitty duals. I did build my own box for the duals and they sound a lot better than they did in the box they came in, but my system still sucks. I'm limited on cash being a college student and all, but I don't want to skimp on stuff just because. I'd rather save up for something nice if I have to. Also, I SQ is my main concern. I mostly listen to rap and would really like to enjoy my music, and with thoughts of getting an in-dash DVD unit, that's something to think about too. Good evening everybody. I have a few items to install for an Audio System upgrade; but don't know how to go about it. The Items that will be involved are -1 Distribution Block -2 Amps. -1 Capacitor. -1 Equalizer/Crossover -6 Speakers in Total (2 tweeters, 2 Front Door 6.5's, and 2 6x9's) -1 Subwoofer I'm trying to connect 2 amps; 1 for the Subwoofer and the Second for Speakers. My Aftermarket Head Unit has 3 pairs of RCA plug-ins. 1) Subwoofer 2) Front 3) Rear. How Would I connect the 6 speakers (which I'm going to rewire) to the 1st amp? Do I wire the Speakers to the Amp or Straight to the Head unit itself? Also, how would I connect the amp to the Head unit if it…

Well, thus far I've been using Raammat and love it. No complaints about the product at all, and Rick is an awesome guy to deal with. But, I've used up all 125sqft, and now it's time to get some more deadening. I can get more Raammat BXT (62.5sqft) for $99 + shipping. Obviously insanely modified and i understand that, i was just curious what type of box he uses. I cant really find much on what he actually used, does he keep it a secret? Hey guys, im confused as far as what test tones to tune amps with. Im getting confused when people use tones with +-db levels and not sure i should do the same. Have a sub amp and speaker amp. Any help is appreciated.

Hi SSA, 1- I want to know what's a line driver specifically for? 2- Also is it worth having? 3- I've heard that the higher the voltage the better, but I don't really know what is meant by that. I'm in the middle of my girl's system install in her '01 civic and am having a tough time deciding were to place the tweeter The tweeters are too deep to flush mount on the door so I would have to surfarce mount if I put them on the doors or I could flush mount them in the kickpanels. Or maybe flush mount in front of the door handle? What do you guys suggest Also can start build log pics but this is a fairly simple install with f/r comps, two amps, one 12", 100 sqft sound deadening and cd player. Do you guys want the log?

Tried ordering an enclosure off the Fisher Custom site, then bad news comes. Something a long the lines of not being able to ship to my location and then I go to Audible Customs and they also can not ship to Louisiana at the moment. This is a big halt, as things were going so smooth.... while acquiring all the new equipment. I really don't have trust nor faith in the local shops around here, probably just as well off purchasing a prefrab from them but, I want to do things right. So if anyone knows of some legit people who could build me a bow and ship to Louisiana... that would be appreciative.

Today will be my first competition. Its only local but it still is exciting for me. So here goes. Well I decided one day to tear out the center console in my truck with the intention of putting a new one in there.. Well 3 years later.. still no center console. So thats where it brings me up to pretty much till last weekend. Last week end I got bored and decided to start putting it together again I dug out the mounting brackets and started brain storming that it would be better to build one rather than buy one so i could build it to my specs and add a few things. Has anyone ordered from Sonic or Online Car Stereo? Are these companies legit? What I was specifically looking at was a newer Pioneer 5700 DVD. The prices are sweet and are about $130.00 less than Crutchfield. Just wanting to know if anyone has any experience with these companies???

Alright... so with the dimensions i am using for my 18" BTL, it will give very limited space for air to move around the box. I was going to fire it into the trunk, BUT it will give little air space to move around the box to get back into the cabin. Will this be a major problem? If so ill need to rethink the build.

Heya guys, I'm starting a somewhat crazy build. I've run several sims and I just cannot viably fit a large slot ported box in the car. So.... I'm looking at .75 mdf double baffled top 21" x 24.5" x 20.75" giving 4.8 gross cubes. I'm bracing the box with rod iron. I was looking a putting 2x 4" ports and tuning the box to around 32hz, with a single zv4 18 on a crescendo bd2000. My question is do you guys think I should give a third 4" port and give up a tad of airspace? 3x 4" 16.5"long ports should give a tuning of ~34 hz. I could also go with a single 6" port, but I don't have the room in the car or box to put two 6" ports There is very little more room in the car afte…

LOL, ok so a customer walks into my store today and wants to get a box built. Well the builder is out for the week. But just out of interest i wanted to know what he had and he says Konaki. Never heard of it let me go look. So i'm expecting like walmart quality stuff. He says he got it in houston, which is where most of the people from around here go to pick up "cheap" car stereo stuff. So i look in and there are 2 12s in boxes. so i try to pick up a box and i was barely able to pick it up. Crazy heavy and dual 1 ohm.
