Hey y'all it's been a minute. I recently purchased a 2013 Cadillac srx. Totally in love with the new ride. No more huge audio builds. It has the factory 10 speaker Bose system, but sounds like total garbage. I'm planning on upgrading, but keeping it very clean. I'm going for clarity, not necessarily an sq build but more in that direction. Not sure where to start. Any suggestions? The sub will be replaced eventually. But in the mean time I guess front doors are priority . Factory tweeters are in the pillars. I want it to look completely stock or as close as I can.

Either one will be in ~2.8^3 after displacements tune to 30-32Hz. Q 15D2 would be run with an AP15001D. Xcon 15D2 would be run by an AP18001D. This will be a daily ground pounder setup that I might throw in a bass race when a show comes town. Looking to be musical, get low, and still be loud. Electrical will be a 140 amp ho alt, red top up front, 100ah in trunk. Which choice do you think would better suit my wants? Thanks.

I have a good offer on one of these. It seems to be a good amp but im not sure. To be honest i have never heard of it before. My set up is going to be only 1 Dual 1 ohm Fully loaded Fi BTL 18". My problem is i bought the Dual 1 option because i thought that i may get another in the future and with that i could have them wired at 1 ohm and be able to find a amp for a bit cheaper to give them power. what i didnt think of was the amp i was going to use in the time being... i need the minimum of 2000rms at either 0.5 ohm or 2 ohms and this amp does 2000 at the 2 ohms... so i've got a 1993 Saturn SC1 that has a busted lock system for the trunk. The trunk itself can open in the front via a lever. BUT, if I am going to put the system I want in this car, I want to make it so the car has to be in accessory mode before the trunk can open (or key in ignition, what ever will start 12V activity via remote) I was thinking attaching a small 12v pull motor to the line that runs to the front, then just setting it up so it can be toggled while the radio is running... I dont even know if this is possible ;o Basically, I want my stuff to be harder to steal. 'cause the trunk alone has been worked on (by me personally!) so the hatch mechanism are MUCH low…

Hello SSA it has been a while! I just recently purchased a '12 mustang base model and I really need to upgrade the audio soon before I go insane. The problem is if I want to run any kind of aftermarket head unit I have to buy a $300 dash kit just to put another radio in due to the climate control and radio controls being in one panel. So by the time I get a nice double din and a dash kit it will be $600 easy. I was thinking of just running a LOC out of the factory unit and plugging that into a rockford 5-channel on some sundown components and maybe a sa12. My main question is if the LOC gets the signal from the speakers that are coming from the head unit and I replace the…

i have a FI SSD 15, in a 18x18x38 box, tuned to 33hz, i forgot to put the 45's in it. Its pretty loud so i dont think i need the 45's. But is it really worth building another box to put the 45's in?

Does anybody else run their mids and highs with their head unit? I would get a separate amp but I'd need to upgrade my electrical beforehand. I have re 6x9s in the back and stock in the front and its really not loud at all....to be honest the stock Charger SXT head unit sounded great but since I switched it the panasonic head unit its really not as audibly sound.

Right now for my SAZ-3500Ds that are strapped i'm grounded to my frame but it's a pretty long wire and i don't want it that long. I cannot make the ground wire short and STILL ground to the frame, just can't. So this leaves me with grounding to the body, which i've only done with multi-channel amps.. no big mono blocks. I have (1) Yellow Top under the hood, (4) XS Power D3100s in the bed, (1) 320 amp Alternator from DC Power, Big 3 all inside a 1986 S-15 My concern is that grounding to the body will not be efficient enough for my SAZ-3500Ds. What is your input?

Hi folks, after a long f'd up process trying to figure out what was wrong with my tarantula amp. I decided to trade a dude for his autotek mean machine 3000.1 (before maxxonics bought them). Anyhow, that amp is only 2 ohm stable bridged. Therefore, I can only run 1 of my Ti Elite 12's (dual 4ohm). It simply is not enough output.
