I just got 2 20" subs of ebay for real cheap. The subs are a brand called reempower. i can't really find any info on them. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a box size for these subs. I am going to have them ported at 30hz and was wondering what an appropriate enclosure size should be.

I have ideas about what I am going with but I want to see what others would do in my situation. I want to get as loud as possible in a setup with one battery under the hood. Here is the catch. The battery has already been decided. It is a XS Power D3400. Stock alt. Lets just look at the subwoofer setup. I am keeping my stock mids and highs for now. Also I would like to keep as much cargo space as I can in my small SUV. I will even throw this out there. For the sub box I have about 5 cubes of space I can work with. So basically I am looking for a sub/amp combination that would work with my electrical.

So like it says. Where do you guys have your bass knobs? What sneaky spot in your car did you hide them? Do you have them in the open? Pictures would be awesome. Trying to get some ideas.

Was thinking of wiring up the big 3 in my 04 grand prix. Don't have a high output alt, should the hookup only be done if the alt is aftermarket quality? What other determinations should sway me to do or not do this wiring?

OHM'S law There are 2 base formulae which will help you to understand the relationship between current , voltage , resistance and power . If you have any two of the parameters, you can calculate the other two parameters. OHM'S LAW BASE FORMULAS P=I*E E=I*R TO FIND VOLTAGE E=P/I E=I*R E=SQR(P*R) TO FIND CURRENT I=P/E I=E/R I=SQR(P/R) TO FIND POWER P=I*E P=E2/R P=I2*R TO FIND RESISTANCE R=E2/P R=E/I R=P/I2 P = Power in Watts E = Electromotive Force in Volts I = Electrical Current in Amps R = Electrical Resistance in Ohms SQR = Square Root Note: I use 'E' to represent voltage most of the time but sometimes you'll see 'V' used for voltage. Don't let it confuse y…

  13. Ok this is one of my first posts and I'm pretty audio ignorant so bear with me. I have a 2008 silverado duramax crew cab and a sundown 1200 mono amp. I know the box has to go under the seat unless I do crazy customization so there isn't much room. The box that has been recommended to me by a few people is this one http://subthump.com/Chevrolet-GMC-Sub-Boxes/Silverado-Sierra-Crew-Cab/07-Up-New-Body-Style-GM-Crew-Cab-Dual-Downfire-Box.html It holds 2 10s and has a mounting depth of 6.5 with .83 ft per chamber and it's sealed. Downfiring. I know a g con and a sa10 would fit but the sa 10 requires .5ft while the gcon ranges from .85-1.25. I need to know what two subs would …

  14. Ive noticed that my entire system gets louder when its raining outside! i know this sounds weird but i wonder if the weight of the water on the panels acts as a mild deadener? is the moisture creating a better ground perhaps? pretty odd..

I finally have most of my equipment in and now that I'm actually pushing some power this is a question that I can't seem to find a straight answer by searching the net. Is it safe to turn the volume up past the gain limits you've set when listening to music that's recorded at lower volumes? I find that when listening to a lot of music, especially older music, the volume seems to be half of what is recorded these days. Is this part of the "head room" that I've heard everyone speak of? This may be a stupid question to some but after my experience with that POS Hifonics amp I want to make sure that I'm not just building heat rather than pushing power. I will say that this AQ…

Ok so I bought 2 IDW 15's after reading the spec sheet and it saying I needed 1.5-2cu ft sealed... After asking about it I hear IB and giant boxes are what it needs from squeak over on CA.com.. After searching the net it seams most people did IB installs with the IDWs... so does anyone here have experience with non-IB installs on IDW's... The only two thought I have are seal off the entire cargo area with plexiglass (ummm I'd rather sell the IDW's) or make a box the size of the entire cargo area level up to the seat backs... I could swing this, I'll measure it tonight to see how much space this would give each IDW...

I’m curious if anyone can fill me in on what’s going on with AL? I know SSA and DroppinHZ used to sell them but now I can’t find any online dealers. I’ve been told they are ghosting their dealers right now and it appears they are liquidating some products on their site. When they first came out everyone said they had great CS and then I started hearing of warranty horror stories. Wonder if shady practices did them in?

  25. I have a 99 toyota camry with 2 fi q 12s on a saz 3500v2 I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with camry. I have my subs & port firing to the rear & it is not bad but I was wondering if anyone has had the subs firing forward & port to the side & how it did vs. sub & port to rear. I am having a slot port built right now just wondering if anyone had gain or improvement doing this in a gen 4 camry. I am just looking for a suggestions I know ultimately I am going to have to just experiment because of all the uncontrollable variables. Here is my question do you think I should go for it & try subs forward port to passenger side or stick with…
