I am about to order some bulk 1/0 ring terminals from Darvex but they have two different sizes. one is 3/8 and other is 5/16. I just want to verify what size fits XS power battery terminals? I will be using them to wire together my batteries and to upgrade my ALT ground to my BATT ground (which is also XS Power). I cant remember for the life of me what size I grabbed before Thanks.

  2. So to start here is my sub box so as you can see my box will be made of 3/4 mdf and nothing will be visible the only think ppl will see are 2-6inch ports and 1 slot! now let's say I replaced the front piece with a piece of lexan or Acrylic Plexiglas (racecar stuff I think...) that way ppl could see a side profile of the subs and then I could use some LED's and have a sexy light show lol! now more info that sub box is ~7cubi and 6.1 after all displacement the subs are NS v1 15inch subs, this is a TOTAL in the trunk enclosure. so my questions are: 1. will Lexan work 2. what is Acrylic Plexiglas a. how does it compare to lexan I am currently searching Google and …

So I'm going to attempt to make a false floor in my scion xb. Back there now there is a storage compartment type thing above the spare tire. I'm going to try to make a tray for my amp to sit in. Its a Saz-1000d. Here's my question. I'm going to put some fans in so that I can put the false floor over the amp. Will this have sufficient airflow? Maybe like 2 120 mm fans on each side, 2 pushing and 2 pulling. Will this be a problem?

hmmmm...... where to start.....i know i have done this before but i havent really did it the right way, and in a manner that could be taken seriously. i am planning an overhaul of my beetle i will be recieving in just under a year. (dont ask about the Contour, long story about that) i want firstly, to get a good system in it right off the bat. following that, i want to get a black paintjob, tints, and some spinners (total joke on that last one, for christ's sake itsa beetle!) you guys all know me well, i like it loud and cheap. but those dont always (rarely ever in fact) go together. i want to know if i could go to far as to three 12's across the backseat. i dont really w…

Already ive had this setup in my mind for a while now. The reason for doing this is that I travel alot and sometimes might need my whole trunk. So when im about to go to travel all i would have to do is simply unhook the speaker wires from the sub and now that my amps will be safe. I know alot of people like to have there amps mounted to the back of the seats but if i need to fold my seats down or have stuff in the trunk that might damage the amps i do not want that to happen. Just wondering everyones opinion on how this setup would work. Would they be safe under there? And remain stable when going over speed bumps ect Well here is what i had in mind edit: also does it…

Hello, New to the forum, got turned on to it by a guy on the last forum I was a member of (audio-neon was his screen name). I am slowly buying up the components of my yet to be installed system. I have my sub (TCSOUNDS TC3000 15" DVC). I have my deck (Eclipse 3100) Xover (Audio control EQX) and the Epicenter. I ordered 1/0 wire 30ft of power and ground. I have done the big 3 already and have power and ground run directly from the engine bay to the trunk. I have a 3.2cubic foot sealed (2.6 cubic ft ported tuned to about 28 hertz) box built. I am leaning toward some CDT Components for the rest of my speakers. I have a zapco Z400c4 amp I am also leaning toward running the fr…

  12. So after I installed my DD 9512g, its been knocking off my rear view mirror. I think this is the fourth time that it has came off. Its really not that loud to be doing this. It came off at Scraping the Coast 2010 and it took a piece of the windshield with it!!!!! I always use permatex extreme adhesive. I don't know what else to do now. Any ideas? Im thinking it might be due to the vibration in my floor translating to the windshield. My floor vibrates a lot along with my side mirrors and door panels.

Who makes a decent volt meter that isn't a $100+ dollars.(No SMD) I'm gonna order one soon, and just looking for opinions on who makes a decent meter. What are you guys using, and has anyone used the stinger meter are they decent? Or the 99 cent ones on eBay are they even worth the trouble to hook up?

I was given the link to this sound deadener and know nothing about it, not saying that's a bad thing because it is not, but I want to know if anyone on here has ever used this brand or know of this brand of deadener from any experience. I am still new at this and want to get the most bang for my buck.....or as much non bang for my buck lol. Let me know, also no bashing, this is an honest question for an honest answer from those who have experienced this brand not a bash the question, or bash the brand thread. Thanks guys. Also if this is some good product, it should save a lot of people some money. (Not a comparison thread) http://www.ebay.com/itm/181430771921?afsrc=1

This is going to go in a 07 or 08 dodge charger cause i have to ditch my beloved truck. So far i plan i running 3 10" Q's in the trunk in a IB setup. That is about as far as I have gotten cause I have no experience at all when it comes to setting up speakers for mids and highs. Before I would just throw 6x8's in and go, want to do it right this time. Music wise, I listen to, literally, everything. I really enjoy listening to heavy metal, techno, and rap probably the most though. I just want some really good clean sounding speakers cause my current setup, everything seems muddy to me, almost distorted. Back to point, can someone point me in the direction of where to…

  18. This isn't going to be a huge build just something as a stock upgrade with a little bit of kick for the old lady. I want it as simple as I can get. Probably going with a five channel amp just for the ease of the install and eyeing the sundown 1100.5 I believe 150x4 at 2 ohms for the fronts and 800x1 for the sub channel. Probably a sealed truck box. Only doing front doors and preferably 2 12's if they fit and there's enough airspace. Any ideas what will sound decent with that power? By no means will it ever compete. Just a little bump and clarity.

Rockford Fosgate 3SIXTY.3 Going active next year and I am stoked for this upcoming processor. Hopefully the autotune is phenomenal. Not too much has been released about that. The manual adjustments are plentiful to say the least. After they work out the bugs it should be released. Ready for autotune/manual with RTA? These videos were posted in 1.11

  21. Ok well I have a roll of rammat (60 sq feet) and want to do my trunk as well as the two front doors. I know I will have to use it sparingly so I wanted to get some suggestions on where in the trunk I should put it. Here are some pics of my trunk stripped down. Also should I do where the spare tire goes or should I just put it around that? Entire trunk: Lid: Right side: Left side:

Today i hooked an amp up to my front stage. Sounds great, except for the buzzing i can hear when music is paused. My amp for the front stage is grounded the same way my amp for my sub is, and yet i still get buzzing. It's kind of a high pitched buzzing, with really high pitched sounds mixed in that kind of fluctuate. It only buzzes when there's a source though. Once i plug my iphone into the head unit, the buzzing starts. And using the touch screen on the iphone, such as scrolling, makes a sound. I can hear it whenever i scroll with the screen. My head unit can't be the problem. I used to have a low rumble with my sub (like this buzzing) and i fixed the ground on my hea…

I'm about to step in and start editing some more music for custom purposes for car audio and want to know what frequency range i should focus on? This project will mainly be focused on older 70s-80s rock that had no bass hardly. I want to bring out frequencies that just didn't audibly exist before. I've done this before a while back and some people have the custom 16 min Pink floyd track i did but now i want to do this... So, what frequency to you is LOWWWWwwww? i can bring it out all the way to 1hz but there comes a point to where it's too low so i need to know how low is too low really. Anyone who listens to these tracks can mainly only benefit from it from a setup whe…
