So we had our Iasca show Saturday, and i ended up doing a 145.8 legal on the dash(Iasca style). For most of yal thats not really loud, But im happy with it and very impressed with what it did given the money i have in it. Also given my port is nothing more but a regular concrete sonotube, no fiberglass, no flare, and nothing bracing it. 1 DC XL-18 M1 - Dual 1 Shark 2500d @ .5ohm daily 1-Run Bullz Audio 1/0 Ofc 2 Agm's Stock 90a Alt $430 in it

I am about as new as a newbie can get to car audio and the use of forums so if I am annoying anyone I apologize in advance. I am pretty frustrated at this point cuz i cannot find an answer anywhere so here I am. I bought a 15" xcon from a guy who was going to help me set up my system but he literally went mad and is currently in the state hospital. he told me to get a Hifonics Brutus brx2416.1d super d class mono amp which i did. He also told me that this sub is half ohm and thats about as far as we got before crazy happened. So now due to his mind frame I question if I got the correct amp and if so how do I wire a half ohm sub to a 1 ohm stable amp without damaging amp. …

OK, now this is just a give your opinion on this BS. A friend of mine has 4 JL w1v2 12's and a JL 500/1 ported. exact specs on the enclsure i have no idea. He i was talking to him yesterday and he said he drove up to the local audio shop which sapposeably has MECA certified mics. I dont know if this is Term Lab or not. i am assumeing so since that is the organization Alma gates comeats (or compeated) with. anyway, he told me he did a 149.2@ 55Hz. beleiveable but not BSable Today he calls me saying he went up there agian and did a bunch of runs. he averaged at 151.3...still beleiveable depending on the box. but then he goes on to tell me on a bass track song he did a 157.1…

Heres a design I did... Took about an hour to finish and draw up. Its a little off from what It wanted to be, and Sketchup was giving me some problems, but it was just for fun. So check it out. Its pretty damn big, at almot 54 cubes external. Never really designed a bandpass before, but got a formula from a friend last night and it sounded great so I went from 2 12s to 16 12s. The credit for the formula goes to Jethro Eason. He said that it should work well for just about any 12" sub you can find. Anyways, heres the pics.

When running a 16 volt system for my amps, do I have to get a special 16 alternator or do I just put a high output alternator on 16 volt batteries. Also do any of you guys know if the kicker 1500.1's can handle 16 volts?

im thinking about buying a new alt. i talk to a guy at the chevy dealership and he said that a 160 amp alt would be plenty to run 2 batts and draw of around 240 amps on 1 of the batteries. im wondering that if i get a 160 would it be good and how long it would last. its about 50 bucks cheaper than the 200 amp one. kinda on a budget.

I have an ea alternator with an external voltage regulator. 12v under the hood and 16v 8400 in the rear. When i turn the vehicle on and adjust the regulator charge at 14.4 volts under the hood, the rear is charging at 21+volts. so, ill adjust the rear batt to charge at 18-19v and the 12v batt under the hood is charging at 12.4. Why? Could this be because the batcap 8400 hasnt been charged in several month and the 12v battery under the hood is at proper charge btw i do have a system setup to run a 12v and 16v....like a step down does this makes sense? lol

  20. Hi guys The last forum I was a member on misguided me terribly Please help me with some questions I have thanks! 1. can i use 2 ground wires for lower resistance? 2. are 5/7 eq band head units pointless for a bass head since the eq should be at 0 anyways? 3. why is a 4v headunit better than 2v? 4. do you guys with multiple alternators have custom belts made? 5. what specifically is in an expensive amp that a cheaper brand does not have? 6. how can these guys patent a basket design? is it their reward for finding the most effecient design first? 7. why don't people use the 21" incriminator death penalty more often in builds? 8. what is the difference betwee…

Its in a 99Nissan Maxima I am pretty happy with its performance, but I am looking for just a little wiggle room, and right now when im playin the Q at max volume, is where I want my wiggle room, so......I don't know if I should try tuning a little higher to get a little more output, or if im choking my trunk.... I was thinking of a few other ideas... trade the Q and get A. and HDC318( if they makeone) B. An 18" BTL C. 18" RE MT D. 2x 15" Q's (if i have enough room to port them) …

well ive had my sub since oct. and have been very happy with it untill recently it just seems like it was deff. louder a couple weeks ago. so i got the sub and pulled it out of my box to give it a once over beccause i dont have any meters of any kind. so i looked through the vents at the coil and it looked ok i guess was not all black. when you push on it, it make no scratching noise or any thing but seems alot looser than when new? and on the back of the magnet it has this (pit type things on it kinda looks like rust but its not brown its silver) stuff i got a pic but dont kow how to get it here its saved to my pictures can i get some help
