Alright my budget is around $800 and i was wanting to get Fi Subs. I really like the SSD's but i think that may be out of my budget. So i was wondering if the Fi.X's are any good? If not then i want to go with the SSD's And i was wondering what amp would be great at running these at 1ohm stable.

Simply, would cotton work at all in the same way as polyfill? I know one is meant for it and one is sure as hell not, but I have pounds of cotton and a wretched internet connection so roaming the internet isnt an option for the rest of the week. All I need is a yes or no, and a brief why. I was staring at a pile of cotton from dog-shredded pillows, and got to wondering.

Inside: Outside: As you can see from the inside picture, the sides have openings, and there is about a half inch gap between the heatsinks and the top panel. I'm considering a new enclosure that would sit over the top panel, it would likely cover up all the heatsinks. I know the sides being open will help, but since heat rises, and the enclosure would be directly above the heatsinks, think I'll run into any issues?

I have an F350 that has captains chairs with center consoles front and rear. The stock head unit is quit acceptable feature wise, and even the door speakers are not awful, the lower frequencies are quite lacking however. I thought a nice clean way to solve the lack of bass might be to put a JL Audio Stealthbox in the center console (preferably the rear one) I don't even know where I can get one (I'm in Kamloops BC Canada). Another option is a "custom made" box with another sub in the center console, or a "truck box" behind the seats ( ick :-/ ). Any opinions? Know how I can get the Stealthbox at a reasonably price? I do have a 10" Cadence Beast subwoofer here not in use. …

Hey everyone, just bought a 96 honda civic ex coupe.. looking to upgrade my door speakers. this model vehicle has a component speaker system with a 6.5" midbass driver and 2" tweeters.. I'm wondering if these are hooked up to a crossover because I can't find one in the car.. And is it worth it to keep the crossovers (if there are any) and just upgrade the tweeters and midbass? and one more question is temporarily i have some pioneer 6.5 coaxials hooked up to where the midbass drivers would be, so far they sound good running off the headunit but should i not do that because im supposed to use a midbass driver?

So one of my friends is selling his CR-X to one of our buddies. But he keeps bein a prick bout it. So he's gonna sell me his Rex. She's nothin special. its a 1990 Si. Which i'm excited about. But the body is rusted to piss. And she'll need quite a lot of work even to just become road worthy. But she runs. Since i'm wanting to upgrade my truck soon. This will probably be where the Q and aq1200 go to. Maybe something a lil more efficient. Not sure yet. Lemme know what you guys think!! any good places for rex parts or any info really would be great! Thanks!

I have a friend with a 1980 Corvette(fixed rear window). He has asked me give him a hand with doing an install. This vehicle will be primarily for his wife to drive, but not as an everyday driver. His thoughts and input for the install are as follows: 1. Has a budget of around $1000.00 2. Has to have the space behind the seats for storage of the T-tops. 3. Does not want to do any cutting of the dash, doors, or have any type of pods on the floor or mounted to the doors. 4. Would prefer more of a quality sound vs bass heavy. 5. Wants anything installed to flow with the interior. Basically wants to keep the interior very close to factory appearence. I have told him that wit…

DL/Buy a good quality version of it. You might have to turn up your bass a little bit, or since the song is pretty light, your overall volume. BEWARE: I believe it's around 4:48, the song does a killer low note, then all the sudden the bass amplifies after it so get ready to turn it down or your amp is going to clip severely.

Being a dealer for DD and working close with them i decided i should post this thread. Lets keep it intellectual of course but i want you feedback on over all DD products and everything. This information will be passed directly to them in an attempt to better their perception and reputation ( not that its bad of course ). Let me know what you guys think. Good and bad, give me good well written posts with positives and negatives about their products. I look forward to hopefully using your opinions/statements to help make DD a better company. I am trying to get someone from DD to come onto the forums themselves, so im also trying to show them there would be benefit in it.

HEY GUYS. Im new to this site. My names Nick and i own a civic( lol i know), but i would like to get some advice or estimates on some upgrades and scores. Ok, to start off i have had many systems but have just recently gotten into competition for mainly SPL. I live In Delaware, but my team lives in Salisbury Maryland. Alright so i was down at the mall and took a look at the brand new 2012 Scion tc. I must say it looks beautiful, not too sure on how it performs or any issues that they have but it looked CLEAN. Im only 19 so its not like ill be able to afford one anytime soon, but it looks like such a nice car to wall . Kind of looks like a Honda CRX, but bigger and more luxury oriented. Guess i just had a bit of a daydream moment but maybe this will my my future car. Not sure yet, (Coming from a GM family, it seems odd to be this into an import.) Oh, and the doors already have 3 ways mounted in them.

I'm looking into adding some pro audio into my car.. I pretty much have everything ready except some pro audio mids. I'm looking to run them off channels 3&4 on my Arc FD 4150 and want them to get some power. The reason they need to get a lot of power vs your standard 8 ohm mid is because I'm running 2 crescendo supertweets of a Arc FD 2100 and they are screaming (see distance video below.) I'm really only looking into 1 mid per side so I can fit the supertweet and mid in a kick panel I'm planning on making.

  23. I've recently acquired a 96 LS400. After reading about how the wiring of this particular model I feel like I could easily tap into the Factory Headunit signals and run the wiring needed to power and signal to my trusty Sax.100.4. The plan so far is to keep the factory headunit, upgrade the subwoofer, eventually upgrade the front components, use the 4 channel to power the sub and front speakers and use the factory amp to power the rear door speakers that can be faded off if necessary. I'm not sure what to do about the sub section. This model has a 8" sub mounted in the rear deck, powered by a 30ish watt amplifier. I would like more bass than this factory setup can …
