well i am redoing my whole system (not that i had much, maybe doing a whole system). So i have a 15" (the one with no logo) in a sealed box. I think it is around the size of 2.5-3 ft^3 and i have a Viper 1200d amp (1200w x1 @1 ohm) Now the question is, what else should i get to complete the system? I am thinking an Alpine HU but i am clueless from there. I don't want to break the bank but i want it to sound good and keep up with my SI. This will be going in either a late 90's prelude or 2 door accord (should be getting in the next couple weeks). so would you suggest a diff head? Comp for front? coax for back? oh and i listen to mostly rock, alt, punk, and elctronica and …

I just though I might make a post about this guy's website I found. He's an active member of a few different forums and it looks like he knows his stuff. So put down your beer and pencil and just start clicking. If it looks like the program isn't functioning it is probably becuase you are asking for a F3 that is too low for the size of the box, etc. It even tells you the dimensions to cut, how easy is this? My friend told me about this audio company that just came out. Apparently they are really goodbut i have never heard of them nor found some demos on the internet. I also cant find their site for their stuff or prices. Have any of you guys heard of them? I wouldnt mind trying their equipment out lol. Like on YouTube all i see is them showing their stuff but not actually playing. They have like 2500w minimum amps and go up to 5k.

i thought i was done deciding on my new setup but something else crossed my mind, and now I need a little help choosing. I'm gonna be running the SSA Dcons which are 300 rms a piece. My amp is the Elemental Designs Nine.1(1200 rms). Instead of building the system around the car I've decided to get a car around my system, though the car will probably be around a 95-97 Cutlass Supreme or Monte Carlo. The new dilemma I have is I want something different than the usual, which will be 10's I just can't decide on 3 or 4. I know that in a trunk car subs back port back is louder to the ear (the three tens) but if I did four 10's sub up port back would that be louder since there w…

well the positive on the box terminal melted and warped. this is the second time it has melted but the first time it didn't get ruined completely. but this time it did. the wiring from inside side of terminal to sub is 12g and the wire on the outside side to amp is 16g for 2000 watts rms i know it should be 8g. i know. but havent had the money to buy any yet. both times this has happened it has been the same case: the sub wouldnt hit until almost at 2/3 volume. or if i messed around with the terminal peices. (tightened and loosened them) in the first case i came to the conclusion that the two gold prongs that you see in the pictures on the inside side of the terminal…

I just installed 8 brand new cadence comp. speakers, took out the factory speakers. I wanna blow them up, can someone tell me how. I heard that hooking them in 120 volts (regular outlet) will do the trick. Is there an easier way, or another better way? Kinda a goofy random question, and if not allowed on this forum, an admin can just take it off. =] thanks

So my girlfriend's older sister (30?) hears the system I put in my girlfriends car and now what's me to do one for her. She drives a 2000 Toyota Sienna Minivan and she doesn't want me to replace the factory radio (she says she likes it) I told her yeah this is possible but honestly I'm not to sure what to do. Factory radios don't have RCAs do they? What must I do? Line out converter? How do those work? I'm thinkin simple 12" kenwood kfc. 400rms. And Ill her get a sundown audio sax 1200 at 4 ohm (380?rms) had to rep sundown But yeah what must I do to complete this project. There's no rush. I'm not in a hurry but really don't want to mess up on my gf's sister's ride. She…

Justin has went to EVERY show, and has gained alot of King of Bass points making him the champion. With each entry he has also gained the most entries to the free SMD subwoofer, thus winning him the SMD woofer in the draw at the end of the show. This goes to show what going to EVERY show and being there each time can get you. Congrats Justin! It pays to support manufactures who support the shows at the roots, this is one prime example!

So I want to do the "Big 3" and I'm also about to re-run my amps power/ground because i'm upgrading amps and was looking for good cheap wire. I went to home depot and they have wire there that is much cheaper but I want to make sure it still works just as good? I saw they had 4awg and 1/0 and many others and they said they were copper wire. I just didn't know if it will do just as good. At my local audio shop its like $2 a ft for 4awg and $4 per ft of 1/0 but home depot is $0.85 per ft 4awg and $1.85 per ft of 1/0. It was just on their electrical aisle with all the random wires by the foot and crimps and all that good stuff. I was wondering because I saw people on here…

Does any one of the manufactures have a 'official' youtube channel, Sundown, DC, Fi, Kicker, etc? If so whats the channel name, and if not I think it'll be a great idea. Since a huge following is on the net and such. I mean you could do burps, walk out how to tune stuff, show new products and everything else. It'll be cool to watch, and also keep me entertained at work (Im a civil drafter, it gets boring after a while....lol ). Just a thought. Enellz
