i just got a expo for a cheap price and was wanting to make it loud. question is , i was told by some locals that it is hard to get them loud without a wall , is this true or?

Im thinking of buying from them, ive heard the website thrown around alot here, from memory mostly good.. has anyone had a problem with db-r? The item im looking at is just a sundown saz1500d.. it is refurbished and 99% of the time that just means gabage. What do you guys think? good experiences, bad experiences?

right now i have a 12" btl powered by audioque 2200d in a ext cab ranger but im looking to get a new vehicle ( murano probably) how will it sound, i know it will depend on box size and all but as far as vehicle specific what will be the ups or downs to the suv, ive never had a system in a suv so im just looking for some input. I just recently picked up a 98 F150 extended cab PU, and I have always been curious as too if there is an ideal amount of cone area vs cab space available? I am only planning on putting what ever i can fit in the place behind the drivers seat, so i have room for 2 people to still sit in the back. But i wasn't sure (if i could get it to fit) if 2 10's/12's in a daily ported box? At this point, it is just an idea but i am thinking about an Xcons. I'm looking for more SQ with some output when i really want to turn it up. anyone have experience in a small cab space? I picture that much cone area in such a small cab space to be sloppy sounding. If you had 3 exterior 6" aeroports would it effect them in a negative way to have them entering near the coners of the box or at the lower part? Or is it better to have them in the middle? Thanks, Brock

So, there is a show sunday. I have 2 atomic 10 inch ap/spl subs in street beat 1. in my sig is my score on a american bass vfl 400.1 at 1/4 gain. 1/2 gain is where clipping starts. this weekend I AM A run 2 kx2500.1's at 1 ohm each. 1 per sub. stay tuned for the crazy number. and pray for the 150. If you didn't know sb1 is 30 seconds of averaged music. alot like bass race except its divided by number of subs rather then bracketed. you can also start your song before go so its a constant 30 sec. Sunday is the day I will post the results. A) I blow somethign up B ) the number will be LOUD as hell.

So yeah...the RCA was being stubborn so I was givin it a firm pull and *POP*, the RCA jack came right off the amp. I'm pissed beyond belief right now, and ordering Knu RCA's as we speak. Pics to come soon.

a friend of a friend of mine has a 2006 mazda 3 sport with a factory HU and really wants to have an aux plug in and keep the factory unit. is there any way to do it?

im very new to car audio. my problem lies with when my volume of the HU is all the way to zero and i go to my subs there is a faint noise its hard to explain well it's kinda like a hum or a buzz but very quite i tried the ground loop fix by grounding my rca's to the HU and that helped a bit since the noise was louder before and that got rid of it then i found a better bolt for my amp ground so it was more secure and that did not help. so idk what could be the problem. my setup with the problem HU: pioner DEH x3500ui subwoofer: one kenwood kfc w3013ps other sub is unknown i was told from the seller it was an older kenwood but im thinking it is a home thearter subwoofer. …

So I'm going to attempt to make a false floor in my scion xb. Back there now there is a storage compartment type thing above the spare tire. I'm going to try to make a tray for my amp to sit in. Its a Saz-1000d. Here's my question. I'm going to put some fans in so that I can put the false floor over the amp. Will this have sufficient airflow? Maybe like 2 120 mm fans on each side, 2 pushing and 2 pulling. Will this be a problem?

I ordered some Rattletrap from fatmat.com. Its been almost a month now. Still no product. I called there site, The number is invalid. But it's not the usual robotic womans voice that says it. Not sure if there is a thread for this already? if so please let me know, id love to see it! so far i enjoy watching some of "exoabigdeal" videos. hes done some stuff with SSA equipment also. and caraudiofabrication is another good one. and ericthecarguy showtimeSPL prefer channels that explain how things work, to learn about the equipment and that show different neat builds, some that everyday people can do, and sometimes more advanced things being done thats cool to watch for example from exoabigdeal with SSA 15 inch subs. 8 of them.... lol 8! anyone else?

Trying to get some ideas on what could have caused this . . Installed 2 ppi 900.4s and a taramp 10kw in a vehicle yesterday and tested everything and every this dead quiet. Not a bit of any noise. Later last night we installed a ampere 9k in the vehicle and now im getting sounds through the mids and highs . . Only thing that was done was taking out the taramp, putting in the ampere and installing a new volt meter . . Just trying to get some ideas befor I go into the shop today on What could have cause this when just changing the sub amp

Right now I have the following: Shitty H/U, replacing that real real soon, but that and my amp are tuned to prevent clipping. Audiopipe AP15001D, 1500W @ 1Ω / 950W @ 2Ω (LINK HERE TO OFFICIAL SITE WITH SPECS) 2 - Fi BL 12 Dual 2Ω Enclosure 2.4 ft³ ported tuned to 32Hz Enclosure 1.5 ft³ ported tuned to 42Hz (41Hz if sub sits ass-out) Horrible 80 amp alternator (It's a 2.4L 4 Cyl Mitsubishi Galant) So with all that, my questions arise: 1. Would it be better to run the one sub at 1500W, or both subs at 475W each @ 2Ω. Keep in mind, that my alt is probably already starving my amp and it most likely isn't pushing out the full 1500w. I'm planning a build of 1 Fi BTL N2 18s off of two Crescendo BC3500s walled off in my truck, and I'm using the Torres Speaker Box Tuning Calculator. I'm wondering exactly what the "# of Common Port Walls" option means. I understand that it refers to how many sides of the box are going to act as sides of the port, but I don't know why the back of the box isn't considered a side of the box. I have about 52" of width to work with, so I'm looking for the port to be 50.5 inches wide, so it would span across the entire top of the box. I've been messing around a little bit with some of my options and I'm not quite sure what the option I mentioned is referring to. If someone coul…
