Ok, so about a week ago I got my final system installed, except for the amp. Now when we were playing with it and just playing some music the rattle wasn't too bad but I put a layer of Stinger Roadkill on it and it helped a bit. Fast foward to this evening. I was demoing for some friends and I haven't had bad rattle yet until now. My trunk lid is now slapping and it's getting ugly. My setup is sub up port back so basically this sub is firing right at the trunk lid. So on a good note, this sub is moving enough air and creating enough pressure to begin to damage my trunk. On the downside, it's damaging my trunk. Question: Would another layer of deadener help with this? Or…

ive build a few boxs for the lower line subs and they really blow me away. i cant wait to hear there other lines, ive also heard there comps 6.5 and it was sounding awesome for the price.... i do custom work for a audio store that sales orion, crossfire, dei, ppi, lanzar, treo, and just about anything you want. so i can get very good deals on all of them, but im going to go with POWERBASS in both of my cars.... im putting 2-15pbx with optidrive2000d in my car and 2-10 pbx(sq) with optidrive500.2 in my wifes car.... :boink: :denim: id like to thank denim and trixter jamie

Hey i got the 2 12" Bl's and you designed me the box, had the box built for 400 bucks, got the amp installed and the subs slam, insane man im so happy i went with FI, i have a kicker 2500 on the subs, but quickly just want to know about break in, i have them playing kinda hard right now but my amp isnt putting out the correct wattage im only getting about 15 volts, and i need 70.7 for 2500 watts at 2ohms, my gain is up to max and i use bass boost, but im getting no distortion so im guessing im ok? sorry i couldnt take more time to write this out but im at work and going quick

I was rolling through an industrial area, an area right before i get to the center of the town i live in, and had my windows down with the volume pretty high. I was playing "Party and Bullshit" by Tech N9ne (good song) and as i was going through a light, there was a cop at a red light to the left. Ok well here's the scenario: I am running a 15" BTL off of a JL Audio 250/1 (not the v2 one). On the amp along with the power light and protection mode light it has a light that is labeled "low Ohm" with the little ohm symbol. This amp's lowest rating is 1.5 ohm. My woofer is wired down to 1 ohm. But i figured it wasn't a big problem. OK so here's the problem - just now I noticed that on a certain note of a song (Lil Jon-Throw It Up) the light labeled low ohm blinks. Then i noticed sort of a popping sound coming from the box. Ok, call me retarted. Good news : The jl w7 8's sound amazing, can't wait for the sundown amp to really give them what they need. It's all installed and the sealed box sounds greaT! Bad News : I had to run RCA cables outside the car to test my setup. I can't figure out how to take off the dash to wire my rca's. The remote wire was already in the car which made it easy to do. The car - 1992 Bmw 318i Sedan 4 door. Any ideas? I searched and took off all visible screws but no budge, am I missing something?

Okay 2 DEI Viper Dual 4 ohm 12" subs ported box, tuned to 28 htz. And neither on the back seat nor in the trunk with the seat folded down, I still can't get over a 141. I got a 140.3 the 1st time with shittier subs, and a sealed box..............and running the amp only @ 2 ohms not 1 like today...........But that Was in a Mountaineer............Anyways after I got 2 CRX style boxes from Kurt I was able to do a 144.4 from the back seat. Thew boxes wouldn't fit in the trunk which rots. I am going to Competiton this Sunday in Rochester and then again Sept. 11th in Limestone, NY. Hopefully I can place in Advanced NW this weekend and place in the 1-306 class later on........…

so in my blazer my current setup right now is 4 p3 fosgate 12s on one sundown 3500. my box is a little under 8 cuft tuned to 37ish hz. my score was a 147.2 and it peaked at 46hz. I'm fairly pleased with what it did considering when we clamped the amp for my second run, I did the same score but the amp was only doing 1863 watts!? I'm pretty sure that my alt might have something wrong with it that's why the power wasn't there. well what do you guys thiink? is it a respectable score?

So on the ride home from work today I got pulled over for my "loud" stereo.. good thing I drove the suburban today that has a factory tape deck still installed running most of the factory speakers (some are blown) Anyhow no subs, no nothing, just me and my local rock station.. the officer said "I saw you driving yesterday in a different car with a loud stereo, and now today it's loud again" Yes he did see me yesterday playing the "loud" stereo my single 8 and 150 watts that I am currently using for daily in my Mazda.. but today there is no way it was illegal... My Icon 12" stopped working the other day. I don't think it's blown and the amp still powers on too. Anyways, I bought back my old setup which is the Fi BTL 15 and Cadence ZRS-9. So loud. I need to take down my headliner to sound deaden it. Too many vibrations coming through the roof. Wonder if anyone that's coming down for scrapin' the coast this year would want to help, lol.

The new TV has 2 built in speakers. One speaker makes a weird crackle sound with any bass. It sounds as it a plastic bead is being vibrated and the plastic bead is bouncing. Like that type of a crackle noise. Main issue is that the left speaker makes the crackle noise and the right speaker sounds fine. Im assuming i should just try to exchange the TV to fix the issue, since i just bought it? I could hookup external speakers, but I would still like the TV speakers to work and not have to worry about them. Anything else i can do to check whats causing the issue or maybe i can fix it? but i dont think so, sadly :[ Thanks!

ok i got a few questions about boxes and i would love to kno the answers so i can further understand tuning a box gross air space, port volume, port range area, physical port length, port area, and net air space how do these effect the box and such. if someone can please answer these questions that would be awsome

If this were you, what would you do- If you already had all of your sound deadening and HU installed, all u need to do is buy your front stage\midbass amps for all those, then your subs and amps and all wiring and new alternator. If the money you were gonna spend regardless came up to - ~$3,200, if you knew you had the room to double output power from 2,000w to 4,500w, would you spend an extra $1,300? Added weight is approx 500 lbs out of a total of 865 so new coil overs or shocks would also need to be bough as well ~$850 on top of $1,300. Opinions? I'd like to break 150 some point in my life but for a daily driver it's hard. I'm lookin at wanting to buy 4 AA Arsenal 10s …

I love when you have somebody pull up next to you with a "wally world" system and you completely drown them out. Here in Memphis,TN there seems to be so many weak systems that it is almost fun just to cruise around. Though there are the select few that are sounding great !!!
