i have a mecedes benz 560sec with 2 12' fi ssd's running off of a crossfire vr2000d with the port of the box firing thru the rear deck. i have never had a car with a sunroof and i am about to have this one repaired. the cable to open it came loose. do any of you have sunroofs with serious beats? i am not competing so this question is more of a daily thing. have any of you had to have them permanently sealed because the sound broke them? i was thinking if i just vent the sunroof a little while playing it wouldnt cause damage or also of angling the port more forward instead of upward to minimize the stress on the roof.. i would hate to get my sunroof working for the sound…

Hey guys my girl friend is asking me to get her a little bass in her car but she wants to keep everything stock! which i am very cool with! the car is a 07 hyundai elantra and I have never did an install where everything is stock so I thought i would ask how do I do did it first of all and what I will need. Now i think i will need a LOC (line-output-control) is this true? I would like somebody to explain to me how Mark gets 143dbs with 1 12" XCON on a khaotik enclosure and the guy from the tahoe only reaches ~156dbs with 4 18s? I mean, I know after certain point, each db requires more than just another amplifier or an extra battery, but I cant understand why the difference is so close. Either the XCON is THAT good or there is something going on with the smd subs Is it that the 18s are in a box that is not spacious enough? or is it that the box needs a redesign? I believe I remember st3ve saying each of the smd subs had 4.65 cubic feet, I think that sounds kinda tight.

I have a 2003 Saab 9-3 with the factory 7 speaker system. Right now everything factory the can does not do Dolby Digital 5.1 even though it does have a single center speaker located on the dash board. I am wondering if this set up will work or will i need a Sound Processor still. I got the pleasure of hearing Cableguy's truck at USACi World Finals this year. It was great to say the very least. When I first got in his truck, I was expecting to see a processor or a high-end expensive head unit. my friend bought this sub that he is putting in his car when he gets one but he said i can have it til he gets his car its a interfire, i have never heard of them before. im pretty sure its a interfire IFB-15D. i wired it up and listened to it free air and it was real quite and didnt move much. would a box make it alot louder? also i need a box design if anyone wants to draw me up one it next to alpine type r 10

hey all. i recently upgraded my amp to an audiopipe ap1500d and it bangs..great amp for the price and i recommend them for anyone on a budget. i am running the amp at only about 1/4 gain which is roughly 1000 rms or a little more i believe. it is powering an ssa icon 12'' and is running at 1 ohm with one run of 1/0 and upgraded battery to chassis ground (1 of the big 3). my question is everything ok here? i know my electrical is lacking (external batt. and what not) but im away at college at the moment and have to drive home any time i want to do upgrades because my resources are limited here. i just want to make sure my amp is not being stressed and i am not hurtin…

I have an XCON 15D2 and a DC Power 180 amp alternator on its way to my house .....and Argent Audio is building me a 4.0 cubic enclosure with a tuned 32hz flared port Hmmmmm...... Hi soundsolutions it has been a while. Life has kept me extremely busy with school and work and not to mention I now have a baby girl on the way. I had a SSD 15" and a zx750 and I ended up selling the sub for rims and traded the 750 for a t-1000 which ended up toasting itself somehow.. long story short I have nothing.. I really don't want to spend more than $300 for the sub(s) and amp because I am strapped for cash and I just want some kind of low end nothing crazy. Size is somewhat of a issue, the 15 took up my whole trunk and I can't afford not to have trunk space anymore so a single 10" or 12" with like 4-500rms would be optimal. Saw a similar post on ****, but it seems like everyone has an opinion without any real experience to back it up. Why do people in car audio hand out info so freely when they have no clue on the subject? I've been building boxes for over 10 years now and I feel like I've just scratched the surface of enclosure design. Hi everyone. I finally got my system installed and want to take a vid of it to post on here. My question is what kind of cameras work well for good sound reproduction? video cam? or point and shoot with a vid option? I see alot of vids shot by cell phones and in my opinion are a bit annoying and doesn't do anyone any good. So without putting a mortgage on my home to afford a good video camera, I was just curious as to what others around here are using. Thanks!

on my way home last night i noticed that 1 of my 4 sets of comps wasn't working. so i was getting no volume out of the tweeter or the mid bass. I quickly realized it was channel 3 (front right). here is what i did: First I checked the resistance of the speakers and i got an ohm reading of 4ohm each speaker (mid/high) • so this tells me that the speakers are fine Second I check the output of the amp by putting my dmm in voltages A/C • I then compared the output of the channel 3 with the other channels and i got the same amount of output on all channels • so this ruled out my amp as an issue Next i put the dmm in ohm, and check the wires going into the amp leading to th…

Ive been playing with my front stage for a little while and its just not cutting it for me.. let me give some info here, I have a 18" BTL running off a sundown 1500 @ 1 ohm, Damn speaker hits real hard (ported box). in a 97 Tahoe 4door. I dont know much about running a proper sounding front stage, i have deadened the 2 front doors and placed a pair of Zapco i-6 components in the front 2 doors. Powered by an older fosgate 600.4, using the supplied crossover (passive i believe?). I also have 2 eclipse coaxial's in the rear doors running off the same amp as the fronts. I have done the whole Velcro thing on the tweets moving them around to see what I like best.. they sound j…

Hey guys, just bought a 2007 altima sedan, fully loaded. It has the bose system with the navigation in it. The speakers sound good, but its a little lacking on the low notes. Questions.... 1. Is it possible to wire in a sub to the stock system? 2. Looking at a 10" icon, fi q, or lethal injection. 4. Main goal is a clean looking trunk without taking out the spare.
