i got about 700$ to spend and im thinking this is what im gonna do 1. (4) 18" mach 5 audio MJ subs all single 4 ohm 2. power it with (2) 2200 power acoustik 2 channel amps note: might get the 2600 3. kicker 4 gauge wire kit 4. custom sealed box with subs facing up this will be going into a 2002 escalade and i have the 3rd row seat took out and my last set-up was a kicker 1200.1 with a 15 inch L7 but do u think if i go with this setup it would out pump (2) 15 inch L7 subs? i know these are SQ subs but they should get very loud knowing im getting 4 of them

I am looking to sell my current setup to upgrade I currently have a Cadence ZRS-8 amplifier (1500 rms @ 1 ohm, 750 @ 2 ohm), and a 12" RD Alpha V.2 in a 2.3 cube box tuned to 33hz. Along with my 6.5" Polk Audio DB615s (slim fit), Infinity Reference 9623i 6x9's, and Pioneer deh-p3900mp H/U. What do you guys think my setup is worth if I can sell it?

Ok, i hooked up a friends new amp, a 10001, to his q. it sounded really good for about a week then started making like a rattling noise and i cant figure out what it is. i have the settings on the amp to gain half and the crossover at 50. does anyone know why it might have a rattling noice. its not the box. im almost positive its the subwoofer.

Just donated my 2 ssa icon 12's to my nephew for his first ever system. Building a new system for my f150 crew cab, debating one evil 15 or 4 ssa f8l's. Space doesn't matter and I have a few amps to choose from in my collection. Just curious if anyone is running either of these setups and can add any input. Thanks in advance

Hey guys! got another topic about a new set-up idea i'm looking at Current set-up is an 18" BL on a JBL BP1200.1 amplifier Currently though, i'm looking at picking up another BP1200.1 for a total of 2. this means I would start changing around my subs then. Here's where i'll give you the info and you try to help me decide Limitations: Each BP puts out 1200 watts @ 2 ohms. I have a 2008 Mustang GT/CS that I'm in the process of installling a complete system in. I'm ordering either 1 or 2 12" SKAR audio VVX's pushed by a AP15001D, with a custom ported box for the lows. I will be running my audio through a Pioneer AVHP3100DVD HU. I want to replace the factory door speakers so that I have the ability for the sound to not get drowned out by the subs. Im trying to upgrade my current system myself. I have a 2002 Toyota Camry with stock speakers(3.5's on the dash, 6x9's on the front doors and rear deck). I have a Crescendo s800.4 which I will be running 2 Crescendo FT1's tweeters(replacing the 3.5's), and 6.5 PWX's(replacing the ones on the front doors). How would i wire them to the amp so i can have them for the front channel as i will have my stock rears running off my deck until i upgrade those down the road. The FT1's are 8ohms and the 6.5's are 4 ohms. My subs will be 2 FI BL's running off the BD2000 from Crescendo.

Well I'm trying to talk to my dad about my system, keep in mind I'm only 16. And he is funding for most of my first system. I was talking to him about building a box and everything and he said it was too much work when you could just go out and buy a nice prefab box. Well of course I explained to him that a decent prefab 4.0cuft box will be like $150 shipped, why do that when you can make your own for like $50. Well i went to my first show today since my truck was vandalized and robbed. It was a local car club show and although it rained the show turned out great. I entered in the mini truck and the DB classes. I didn't win for mini truck but i did take 3rd in the DB drag. There were roughly 10 cars that actually had something decent that were allowed to compete. I think i did pretty good being that 1st and 2nd went to sponsored vehicle's. They were using Memphis audio amps and 1 mojo i think 15 each. There setups were identical. on being in a 02ish cavalier and the other in a 06 Grand prix. The cavalier had a wall in the backseat and the Prix just had a nice box in the truck. …

I have an iPhone 11 and using Apple Music and Spotify free Trial and in streaming over Bluetooth HU is an older pioneer probably 4 years old . Non CarPlay . The music doesn’t sound as full to me , am I crazy or is there an actual difference? I hate the thought of having to plug my phone in every time so I haven’t even tried the phone wired.. but when I swap back to music on my usb stick omg sounds so much cleaner.

Well my starting batt decided to poop out today. I noticed a lower charging voltage than normal, I shut my truck off and voltage dropped from 12.8 to 12 with in 5 min so my front batt is pulling my rear batt down. I went outside an hour later and it was at 10.5 so I'm guessing bad cell in my front batt, it is 5 or 6 yrs old. So I am prolly gonna get a dura last platinum. It's the agm version of the duralast gold. Any other suggestions?

Hey all. The time has finally come for me to enter my first comp tomorrow. I will be in a 2001 galant and my setup will be 2 American Bass XD 12's, a planet audio BB2 2400 rms 3000 max sub amp and (don't laugh) a dual 4 channel amp for my mids which are brand X. I know this setup is really crappy to most of you but I have worked hard to get it this way and it doesn't sound half bad. I don't really care how I do or anything I just really don't want to embarrass myself when I show up. I will take pics if I can and let you guys know how it went. Can't wait!!!! W00T

Hi guys, within the next couple weeks I'll be getting my new amp that is a mono with only 1 set of speaker inputs (1 + and 1-). I have 2 speakers. Any ideas on how to mate the wires with the amp? My thought was to just get a couple of distro blocks instead of cramming wires into the amp. hey guys I just posted my fi btl 18s for sale and img ettin ready to do a new setup the goal is to do 150+ on music in my daily I will be running 4 sundown saz1500ds, i already have two of them, im just trying to decide which subs to run. i want to do either 2 btl 12s, or 4 1500 watt 12s, i just dont know which ones to run. any ideas? what will be louder do you think? also its going in an 03 s10 ext cab, i had both 18s but it wasnt worth giving up allt he space, o only hit a 147 with 2 of them in a 16 cube box...

alrite, ive built two boxes so far. both times i have had to recut things. he reason being is im not sure how i will piece everything together as far as screwing them together....always seems that one edge will be to wide or too long.......is there a certain way that makes a stronger box or what??? or can someone make a diagram on what way is best??? (talking about how all the edges should meet)

ok so i bought some permatex rubberized under coating that im gonna lay some coats on the trunk and the rear deck lid and see if thats helps with the rattle in my trunk...i think it will....i dont know if alot of people have used this before but i heard a couple of people that used it and said it worked pretty good....only $13 for 3 16oz cans so pretty good deal if it works.
