Ok, so I recently purchased a Dual 1 version of the Fi BL 15'' along with a custom box and a Kicker zx1500.1 I also bought a 5000 watt wiring kit by audiopipe. When i wired everything up, (as shown in the crudly drawn pics) it hardly works. When i turn it up to 18 (max volume is 34, and preffered volume is 26) it shuts off. but it doesn't stay off, if i turn the volume back down it comes right back on. and sometimes it will try to hit @ 18. and hits everyother beat. All in all it doesn't sound good ...at all. Sorry about this really really , noobish question but i was doing research and couldn't find this answer out myself. Is it possible to wire up the left REAR channel of the amp to one voice coil and the other voice coil to the right REAR channel of the amp to get the 250rms per channel @ 4 ohm. to equal 500rms. or since the amp is brigdable , wire both voice coils together and bridge them into one channel? Maybe I can get more help here I have a problem which Im trying to solve. Basically, Im trying to set my gains right, however, I dont have DMM or O-Scope so I have to do it by ear. Pioneer TS-W3002D4 @ 2ohms 1k RMS 12" Sundown 2000D @ 2ohms 1k RMS Rockford Fosgate 4-gauge kit Factory HU using RCA with Line Output Converter. Stock amp, no Big 3 No Bass Boost on Amp. No Bass Boost on Headunit. Everything Flat.

ok so i have 2 dc level 4 15" with the level 5 dual 1 ohm coils and they are rated 1500 a piece and im only pushing one hifonics bxi2010d (its max is 2000 at 1 ohm) to them so i know its not nearly enough power that they can handle and i know that the amp prob isn't putting out 2000 at 1 ohm. My question is should i get another hifonics bxi2010d and run one amp to each sub or should i look into something like sundown? like their 3500d or something like that??? thanks in advance for the help??

I really hate to even ask, but are there any good subwoofer grille recommendations? I use my trunk pretty often, and even with my current sub I get nervous about things rubbing up against it, or worse. As much as I dont want to cover up the Icon sub I ordered, I also dont want to ruin it, especially since I'll be packing my trunk full with an upcoming road trip. Any grille suggestions?

Hello. I have two Sundown SA-12 d4 and a saz1500d v.3 and im having a little problem with what gauge wire i should be using. right now i would like to run it at 1ohm but im probably going with the 4ohm hook up. I still have my stock battery and alt and im not trying to run them down anytime soon. some people have also told me i can run them at 1ohm since i dont run my system all the time but im still a little sketchy saz1500dv.3- 1ohm =1500watt rms 4ohm=530watt rms

The other day I was in the drive through at Wendy's and my mids and highs sounded odd so I turned the subs off and cranked the volume higher than I ever listen to my system to try and pin point it. After I got my food I turned the subs back on with the headunit still paused without turning it down Lawl...so I unpause it and KABLOOMBANGNASTYSHITBRIXLOUD....I scared the fuck out of myself and my girl wouldn't talk to me for a while lol...has anybody else had a shitbrix bass moment?

If my crossover has a low pass filter that ranges from 40-400 hz, does that mean whatever I set it too is the highest frequency it will play? Also, does that mean that 40 hz is the lowest it will play?

Just wondering how your sa-8s perform in your extra cab midsize to fullsize trucks. Installed a single sa-8 into a x-cab 2008 F-150, .75ft^3 tuned to 33ish with i think either 10 or 13.3 sq inches of port area (im a noob at sub enclosures). The box came out perfect and right on spec. Not satisfied with the results, the tuning sounds good and it sounds good musically but it just doesnt get loud enough, gets 1/4-1/3 as loud as it does in my friends car. Tested it on 2 different amps at 4 ohms, zx400.1 and kx1200.1. so it was getting 200rms first then 400+. small difference in output. Im wondering if his truck needs a bigger or smaller box to achieve more output? How does…

ok so i am looking to get either 2 15" BLs or 2 15" Qs. i am powering them with a Rockford Fosgate 20001bd amp, which i was told throws out about 2800 watts of power when i called Rockford. i am also building a custom box outta 3/4" MDF that i'm not completely sure about dimensions for yet. now i am leaning towards the BL because even though both the BL and the Q have the same power handling, the BL i am told can take more punch, which would compensate for the 800 extra watts from the RF amp. but everyone says that the Q is all about sound quality. is the BL going to have good SQ along with it's SPL? if i can hear that the BL will have good sound quality or better, than i…
