what are your guys top picks for covering your boxes?? I've seen a lot of people using like...truck liner spray. Is this easy to do? or what are your tricks for carpeting a box? Favorite places to buy the carpet? i'm mainly more itnerested in the truck liner idea. I like the idea that it gives, but i've only seen the more professional areas do it. How hard is it for an average box builder?

Ok i am looking for a song that is constant 35hz or really close for at least 30 seconds. I compete in MECA driveby kinda like bassrace except for its metered outside the vehicle. I cannot use test tones or chopped and screwed music that someone has made. It must be a commercially available cd that anyone could go out and purchase. Thanks

ive got a 300 amp alt that is made for a 08 ram. its a 6 groove pulley though, my old one is 7, can i put the 7 groove belt on the 6 groove pulley without changing the pulley?

Hello fellow car audio fans. I am fairly new to the car audio world, but would like to get into competiting in a few local SPL comps in my 2003 Blazer 4 door. Not looking for anything special, not looking to spend alot of money, but I would like to get a 140dB in the Street A class. Prefer going the single 12" route, but its still up in the air. I do know I want Incriminator Audio woofer(s), but do not want to have to change alternators or anything terribly techincal. All input/suggestions will be GREATLY apprecaited. Thanks for your time.! im about to buy a amp for my alpine type r in a few days and its rated at 500rms and i dont know what would be a good amp to power it. my budget is 150$

I noticed this problem starting about a week ago. My sub will lose output by about half and play like that for a while, then start pounding again. It doesn't seem to matter if the volume is high or low. I checked all the wiring going into the amp and everything is tight. Took the sub out of the box and recrimped everything. I'm running the stock HU, an MTX RFL600D and a 10" Clarion SW1051. Amp is only running at 4 ohms (rated 300 watts @ 4 ohms). Stock electrical also. Lights don't dim at all. I've got a spare sub laying around, but it's a 12" and I don't have a box for it and no means to whip up a temporary box. What's the best way to start eliminating what the problem c…

Two weeks ago i installed 2 15"inch kicker l7's,which are runnig off a (kole audio)2400 watt amp.The box for the subs is a very small sealed box,actually its a prefab box called groundshaker lol..It gets pretty loud.Some where aroun next week im going to have a box built by a member on here by the name of (soundvibration) ..My question is these subs can handle 1000 rms and i was wondering if it would get alot louder with the RF1500 or saz1500 not sure which one but would the amp make a huge diffrence or just keep the one i have?The reason i ask is ca use alot of times people say 500 watts isnt any different to the ear,or does that not apply to me cause its a cheap amp i h…

Hey Guys, I'm In Sort Of A Dilemma.. I Just Don't Know If My Sub is blown or if my Enclosure has an air leak or something.. I made a Long TEMPORARY Enclosure for my 2 15' Orion HCCA .. no bracing no fiberglass on the inside and on certain songs it sounds like AIR is leaking or something it just sounds bad....but only on certain songs.. now my concern is are my subs blown or is it the shabby job of an enclosure that i threw together...(and when i say shabby i mean i didnt take the time to seal the inside with fiberglass or etc etc etc)

OK so as you guys know im overseas in germany right now. i went to a local car shop today and asked how much it would cost to build me a box for my Massive Audio DMX stg2 subwoofer and he quoted me 150-200 euros which is about $200-$300 for this build. the box would be made of MDF and will be carpeted. i asked about bracing and if he could build it in birch instead he didnt know what that was. the language barrier owns me and this guy. If my crossover has a low pass filter that ranges from 40-400 hz, does that mean whatever I set it too is the highest frequency it will play? Also, does that mean that 40 hz is the lowest it will play?

Hello guys i have recently pulled all the factory crap out of my truck and ordered some things but i have a few problems. I bought a set of Cadence CVLT-35B tweeters along with a pair of Selenium St-200s i also purchased two pair of Alpine SPS-500(i know i could have gotten components just didnt want to) . The amp i have is a Hifonics HFi100.4 and the headunit is a Pioneer AVH-P5200BT. At the time of purchase i didnt know the seleniums needed a bass blocker of some sort so i searched and came across using an active crossover. How close can you set the gain using the dmm method?

"To low of amp wattage will cook the sub" is what ive heard a few times and always thought that it was false. I have normally under powered my subs and never had a problem, not even on installs for other people and never a problem at all. Just want to hear what other people have to say?
