Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but its the only one where I see it fit. But anyway, I've been waiting since May 3rd for my two 12" SSA Xcons, order status has been at "awaiting shipment" every since then. It is now june 16th, and I feel like driving to the build house in Nevada and helping them build my xcons in order to speed up the process lol. I have been emailing SSA often (sorry to the guys at SSA if I've been a little aggravating lol I've just been very excited to hear these subs) and all they can tell me is "you will have them shortly". Just wondering, for you guys that have maybe placed SSA subwoofer orders either late April, or early May, have you recie…

The anticipation is killing me. Summer days go by and I'm not bumping. How long am I looking at to receive my single zcon recone? Ordered on 6/7. I was hoping it would arrive in 2-3 weeks. Anyone have any input on how long it took for them to receive a recone?

Alright so when I get out of college soon i plan on buying a Mitsubishi Evo as I am completely in love with them lol. Ive got an Fi BL 15 now and it just doesn't do it for me, not loud enough at all. I would love to have a ridiculously loud setup for the next car, and was considering an SUV so I can go even louder, but hate driving them. What is the loudest setup I can put in a car without walling it off and without worrying about the windshield cracking on me? Would love to stick with Fi and upgrade to btl's. Would one Fi btl 18 be too much, or two btl 15's? How many watts roughly until i have to worry about the windshield?

I have a 15.5 cu ft trunk supposedly.... thats Manufacter specs of my 1996 Taurus. How many Sq Ft of damplifier should I get to cover the Walls, Lid, and Floor completely? How ever much it takes will dictate which Damp I get. if 20 sq ft will do it I AM A get Damp Pro but if a little more than that is needed Im going to get 40 sq ft of regular Damplifier and just add a second layer with whatever I got left.

Okay I've been on these forums and have been looking at a lot of box designers and box designs. I was just curious to find out how much everybody paid for their enclosures/ sub boxes? This is not for the experts who can make their own boxes though your expert quotes are welcomed. This is for those who don't know and are learning how to make enclosures and had to pay lol. Also state if materials were included or not. If possible give the length of time it took. Pics would also be a plus.

Short story, bought a new amp locally, it makes my subs murderlize my back window (SUV) About how much did you guys spend on deadening? I'm thinking of doing my front doors, the driver's and passenger's floors and the back hatch. I've never done this before so I don't know how much of anything I need and really don't wanna overkill. I will get some measurements this weekend but I'm just looking for input right now. Probably gonna use SDS unless somebody comes in with something cheaper that's butyl and effective.

Granted there are 2 types of consumption even in comp there are definite demarcations to power limits. With the introduction of 3k, 4.5k, 10k and strap-able options where does a person draw the line which is akin to Jumping the Shark?

(1) Alpine SWR1242D (1) MB Quart DSC1000.1 Sub is 4ohms with two voice coils. The amp also has + + - - option. So, should I wire each voice coil separately and voice both sets of + - or wire the vc's together and just use one? Thanks for any advice, I have no idea lol.

I bought a dcon 12 before I switched cars. I want to put the sub in a ported box, the site recomends 1.75 cubes but has anyone had success going smaller? Reason being I need to put things in the trunk from time to time as well as have access to the spare tire. If need be I was considering reconing the sub to a 10, but I'd really prefer not too as the sub has never been used. If it matters the sub would be recieving 350 rms. Thanks!

I just installed 8 brand new cadence comp. speakers, took out the factory speakers. I wanna blow them up, can someone tell me how. I heard that hooking them in 120 volts (regular outlet) will do the trick. Is there an easier way, or another better way? Kinda a goofy random question, and if not allowed on this forum, an admin can just take it off. =] thanks
