  1. My beef with second skin - DIYMA.com Considering I'd guess it'll be deleted or reworked, I'll quote the thread here. Particularly funny to me since Ant argued with me over the benefits of including the CCF on the MLV a few times. I guess he finally realized.

  3. I figured I only have one chance to do it right, so I thought it would be best to ask. I had planned on using my circle jig with my dremel but because of the design, I can't get the jig to sit flush with the surface to be cut. What's the best method to cut a hole for 6.5" and 1" tweeter?

I actually have a set of the older Type -X in the truck now, and they are amazing. But I have heard alot of good about all three. Here is what I am looking for. I want Loud Crisp mids and highs...i mean LOUD, but with out distortion. Just let me know!

  9. Looking on advice as to what to look at first for this issue.. Basically out of nowhere I have no sub output or midbass output. ED components on a nine.4 and ED sub on a nine.2.... Not sure why I'd lose midbass and sub output and yet the tweeters are fine... Any suggestions on where to start looking?

  10. ok, so i have my subs and i have figured out the amp to power them. now i need to figure out if the box that i have will be sufficient or if i am better off with a different design. the following is as much useful information as i can think of, but if you need anymore just ask. also haven't been able to find detailed specs on the speakers, so i don't know fo, qes, xmax or anything like that, that's why i need your help. haven't found anyone that has that info either, so hopefully you all can still throw me some input. thanks. car: 99 altima subs: pair of 12" american bass vfl1266 amp: rockford t1500 current box: sealed 34x14x14 3/4mdf music: mostly juggalo beats and nu-me…

need an amp and sub(s) for a friend's s-10. doing a blow thru but would like to use no larger then 12's... tried talking him into 15's but its a no go. 1 Previous products that you have used (i.e. amplifiers if its an amplifier question, etc) -looking for comparable output to my 12" AA arsenal on ~500 rms -previous set ups was a pair of rf p1 10s sealed behind the seats. however he's a tall guy and doesn't want anything behind his seat- hence blow thru. 1.5 other equipment installed -rockford p400.4 4 channel on the door and dash speakers. 2 Budgetary constraints -under 400 for sub and amp. wiring will be 4gauge knukonceptz w/ big three if needed (could run 0 gauge i…

Quick Question What is considered Mid Bass? To be more precise, the frequency range. I hear this usually when people put 8"s on their doors (which I plan to do), but I would like to have clear what exact range is mid bass. Im guessing 100-200hz?

Ive been trolling here for awhile getting ideas and researching various things and I finally have a reason to post. Im posting because I need some advice. I had 2 15" alpine type R subs come way for dirt cheap. $150 for both I need help deciding on an enclosure, an amp, and even a head unit. I honestly dont know my 'goals' as its been a very long time since I have had a system. A long time ago when they were new I had 1 MTX 9500 sub that I really enjoyed. I listen to all kinds of music, mainly rap/pop and rock with some heavier stuff (Avenged Sevenfold) This will all be going into a 1998 Eclipse GSX As far as budget, im somewhat flexible, Lets say I'd like to stay und…

Is 12gauge speaker wire sufficient for running a saz-1500d to sa12s. I'll be running the amp at 1ohm. Speaker wire is about 4feet in length. If it can't handle that much power then can I just double it up and run two strands for each positive and another two for the negative.

need some help to come up with net volume and frequency for this sub. my friend will be running 2 of them in a blowthru and space is not an issue. the gray line is the rsdc (2 of them) with 1200rms, the red is 2 12" AA arsenals w/ 600 rms, and the orange is 2 12" l7s with 1200rms you can get the specs from the image if you like pg recommended, according to someone on pheonixphorum.com, specs for ported are 2.5 cubes per sub tuned at 23.28 hz. (spl secs are .8 cubes and tuned very high... like 50 hz iirc...) as you can see i bumbed it up to 24.5hz. but i still think this looks very low. i also notice you run out of xmax @ 600rms per sub.

Alright I am trying to get my Compustar to work in my 09 Challenger. I have everything working but the remote start. I am using an XpressKit Chall interface, which made pretty much everything cake until now. I still need to hook up 2 starter wires, accessory and ignition. The CHALL interface offers a (+) start wire, but because the alarm has a starter kill I need to split it on both sides, which I can't do with this. It also offers a (-) while running which is no good for the acc. And a (+ ignition). I have tried hooking up what I can, but no luck. If someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated... maybe one of you guys got a inside line to DEI to help me =).
