I just finished installing my first amped set of components, and i have a few problems. The components are being ran bridged from a 4 channel (channels 1+2 and channels 3+4) The gain is matched to the head unit voltage (2 volts), and the ssf is being used as the hpf for the comps and the switch on the amp is set to "full". The rca's are hooked up as followed: Front left @ hu to ch1 @ amp Front right to ch2 back left to ch3 back right to ch4 I used this same head unit (alpine cda-105) with my "old" system without the components but with a subwoofer. $30 brand new. Hell, I couldn't imagine even finding a plate amp this cheap. I got the whole thing for a fraction of the plate amp. Guess I'll have to set fire to the old CPU subbox, and plug the driver into the 240 plug.

I am making a list of everything I need for my system and I need help. I plan on getting a Fi BL 18 loaded with a Sundown 1500 watt amp with a 10 cubic foot box tuned at 30hz. I want to use one of Sundown multi channel amps for the mids and highs probably the 100.4. I am gonna get a new starter battery and a battery for the trunk, isolate the battery in the trunk and get a larger alternator. Run all power and grounds 0 gauge. Which way is better to charge second battery parallel with front battery or direct from alternator

Equipment: 2 Xcon 12's (dual 1's) on a Incriminator Audio 40.1 at 1 ohm (3600 watts rms at 12v on stable electrical), pioneer 5900ib First off, I came home today and I decided to do a little testing on the Xcon's where I could actually see them. I noticed that the subwoofer farther away from the port has much more excursion (xmax) than the one close to the port. I feel like this might have something to do with a ported box where the port is on one side, but I'm not entirely sure. I have hit a phase where now I love classical music. All the cds I have sound, unfort, less than par. Does anyone know of any good classical music cds that sound like they are almost recorded with modern day technology? Really lookin for the great classics, like 1812 overture, but have had no luck going to any shops around my area.....they carry hardly any classical. Help would be great. I figured some of you SQ lovin guys have to hit up classical music once in a blue moon.

So... i was wondering what are the effects of running 2 giant gobs of wire out of a wall(8 runs of 8awg per side), one on each side of the wall and filling it in with whatever. this would just seem to cause some loss in SPL wouldnt it? I dont know if i just fill it in with silicone or should i shoot expanding foam in there... i dont know? Also, when i'm messing with the wire any, if the wire gets moved through the hole, would it "un-seal" the hole?

First my previous system was; (2) 12 inch Powerbase Extreme Subwoofers (About 800 Watts RMS Each) (1) Elemental Designs NINe.1 amp (1200 RMS at 14v) I sold my turbo g35 and now have a 2006 Dodge Charger (Ya it has a hemi ) I listen to Rap, Hip Hop, and R&B. I always love deep bass, my previous subs went deep on a couple songs. Higher bass tones are always great too. I was wondering what you guys think I would be happier with or what would be louder; 1 15 inch fully loaded Fi BTL or 2 12 inch Fi SSD's As for an amp what do you guys suggest. I think 1500 - 1800 RMS would be good enough for me. I really dont want to upgrade electrical in my car, just do the big 3. Budge…

1. Where is a hole in the firewall? Doesn't have to be that large, just need one for one run of 10 gauge. 2. Disconnect battery ... airbag deployment, loss of security, etc ... any of that BS? 3. Install head unit - is it as easy as those couple screws in the bottom panel and then take the top one off? 4. Running wire - where? Under door sills? Can figure it out when I know where that goddamn firewall hole is. Any help appreciated. Needed before tomorrow morning I'm still searching myself.
